I purchased these shoes for a week long trip to the coast. I am diabetic and wanted to make sure I protected my feet while walking the beach and fishing, but I did not want to ruin my tennis shoes. These shoes far exceeded my expectations they are very comfortable, breathe well and are well made. What I bought with the hopes of them lasting through the week, are now an everyday wear. I highly recommend these shoes. In fact, I have purchased additional pairs for friends and family.

I have two pairs of these shoes. Bought them to wear on the boat, but I also have another pair for wearing around town. They are super comfortable and it doesn't matter if they get wet! I usually wear flip flops all the time but this is my other favorite pair of shoes!

Cheap New Balance Women's W587 Running Shoe

This shoe has got a very shallow toebox, considering it's supposed to have a deeper one for the SL-2 last. Perhaps everyone who is raving about this shoe, has simply ordered large. That just doesn't work for everyone, I'm afraid, because this shoe is small in the wrong places. I can actually feel my toes scraping the top of the shoe.

As far as width goes, the D was no wider than the average NB shoe. It was skimpy at the balls of the feet, as well. The problem is that New Balance has become completely undependable and inconsistent in its half-sizes. The problem is, if you're a half size and you size up, the difference is enormous.

A real disappointment.

Awesome shoe! extremely comfortable since i have flat feet. I've been able to work out for longer periods without having the bottom of my feet pull and be in pain. It's just simply a terrific shoe!

I have wide feet and love to run. I had so many problems finding a sneaker that would fit me.One that would not squeeze my toes,give me heel spurs,or blisters! I have extra wide feet and I am on my feet all day long many days. My feet tend to want to roll out away from my body causing them to become very painful on the ouside of both feet. These shoes really force my foot to walk properly and have improved my balance and walking gate a great deal. They are allowing the strain on the out sides of my foot to heal. If you are a underpronator these shoes are made just for you.

FYI I also have high arches and use arch inserts in these shoes as well.

These shoes are great, whether you wear them for everyday walking like my mom does at work, or for exercising as I do. I find that they are extremely light weight and shock absorbent. I do not notice any shin splints as a previous reviewer mentioned. I don't know if they're actually helping me "tone" more, but they are so light and easy on my knees when I run that I don't care. I was originally going to buy a pair of NIKE, but these were more reasonably priced, attractive, and I don't regret it. Buy these shoes! They run true to size and come in half sizes.

I saw these at DSW and found them $16 cheaper on Amazon. I have a hard time with shoes and these fit very well. I use them for my work shoes I am a RN. One thing I really like about them is that they are light weight so being on my feet for 8-12 hours a day this is a plus. At the end of a shift it doesn't feel like I'm lugging cement blocks around at the end of my legs. Size is true to fit & they have a fairly good arch support. I would purchase these again.

I purchased these sneakers about a month ago. They are so light and comfortable. I love the way they feel on my feet. I also noticed that when walking around on the wood floors in my home, my foot steps are almost impossible to hear. It's like the shoe hugs my foot in such a way that it forces me to walk gracefully. This comes in handy since I have a 4 month old and I like to sneak into her room while she's napping and check on her. It's much easier to be sneaky in these shoes.

I find that my feet are happier after a long day wearing these shoes. My other running shoes are Nike and my other walking sneakers are ToneUps walking sneakers...I prefer these. I am considering buying other colors.

Update May 2012: I purchased a second pair and they're still great!

These shoes are great, but.....they are not true to size. I've always worn a 7 1/2. I ordered these in a 7 1/2, and they were small enough to actually bruise my toes during my first workout. I believe they are more like a 7. With that said, it's not a bad shoe, but definitely order a half size up, or you'll be inconvenienced. I also cannot give a true review of the performance of the shoe since I only wore them a few times.

I started running approximately 3 years ago when I lost 50 pounds. I knew nothing of running shoes so I went to my local sporting goods chain and tried on about 40 pair before deciding on the Gel-Cumulus 12s. I finally wore those out this year (I'm a social runner, not competitive) so I knew I needed to get some new shoes. I did a search for the Cumuluses and saw that the new ones, the 14s, were getting horrible reviews, while the 12s had gotten great reviews. Well, now what? I Googled, "Best running shoe for women" and found out that the Gel-Kayanos were #2. I wanted to stay with the ASICS brand because I had really enjoyed my Cumuluses. I searched for the Kayanos here and found that the reviews for the 19s were really good. In addition, I liked the look of the pink and lime green together on the black shoe.

So, I did something I have never, ever done before. I ordered a pair without ever putting them on my feet! Scary!! When they came and I tried them on for the first time it was like the Heavens opened up and a band of angels began to sing, "Hallelujah!" It was easily the most amazing shoe I had ever had on my foot. Ever. The proof was in the run however. I was able to do my 4 miles without any knee or leg fatigue at all!! What a difference a new pair of shoes makes!

I have an average to wide foot and a high instep. My arch is average. I tend to run on my forefoot most of the time and the fit of these shoes feels like a glove around my foot. They are true to size (I wear a 7 1/2 in all shoes, these are no different). The memory foam around the ankle truly makes the shoe mold to my foot while on and makes it feel like it was custom made for my foot. The padding on the tongue runs the length of my instep and makes it feel wonderful in these shoes. The instep is usually where I find trouble in any shoe as mine is so high. But not with these--comfort all the way!!

It scared me to pay over $100 for a pair of shoes that I had never even tried on, but I am SO glad I went with my gut and bought these. Unless ASICS screws them up in future editions (which seems to be somewhat of a reality based on reading reviews of various shoes as they've come out with new versions each year), I will never change from these Kayanos!! I have found the perfect shoe for my needs!

I love these shoes!! I hesitated to purchase due to the price but I figured that I needed to make an investment in my new vice (running) because I want to prevent injuries. I am a plus size runner who overpronates a little. I started running in Asics previously cannot remember style and I loved those so I knew Asics would be great. These shoes are so comfortable!! They feel like a dream when running! For the first time after running my hips did not hurt. LOVE THEM!! LOVE ASICS!!

pros: It fits nice and snug. Good enough arch support. Ankle support is what you would expect from a midtop.

cons: It's clunkier than I expected. Maybe because the heel is lifted up pretty high, dunno. But sometimes it feels clunky when playing. Maybe it's just me?

for this price range I'd rather pick up a cheap And1 shoe or something. I wouldn't get these for basketball again.

I received my shoes last week, and I wore it for the first time yesterday in a competitive league game. I was a little worried, since I had no time to break it in. Turns out, there was no break in period necessary. By the end of pre-game shoot around, the shoe felt incredibly comfortable to me. To begin, the shoe is very light. There is just the right amount of padding, especially around the toe area; it was so comfortable to wear. The fit was true to size. Probably the best out-of-the-box fit for my size 10 fit I ever experienced. With my neoprene ankle braces on, the shoe was nice and snug...the way I like it. I also really enjoyed how the bottom of the shoe extends past the heels a little bit.

I ended up playing most of the game, as we were really short on people. I'm convinced the extra traction I got from this being a new shoe, plus the lightness and the little things like the shoe extending past the heel really helped me play through the game with less fatigue. I was so impressed that I went home and ordered myself another pair to stash away whenever this pair dies.

Having said all that, at this pricepoint, you really can't beat it. This is one of those cases where you get an A+ shoe for a lesser price (thanks to no endorsements). I'll take that any day over a similar or possibly/not really/arguably better made shoe (with some NBA star's signature slapped on there) for more money.

But when I they arrived I immediately went to the gym and shot around for about an hour and these shoes feel great. light weight and they fit right. I have suffered from Plantar Fasciitis and calcanean bruising in the past, both of which have been refractory to treatments of all kinds. I bought 9 pairs of shoes, and at least as many insoles and heel cups before I found these shoes. These shoes with the polysorb insoles, have done the trick. I can walk and run and play without thinking of how much it will hurtbecuase they do not hurt at all since I started with these shoes! Thay are stylish, comfortable, wear well (I wear them every second of every day and like them so much I have bought another pair in a different color to switch it up with), and are reasonably priced. I recommend them, as they provide support while also providing a great degree of cushioning.

I love these shoes. I did need a half size smaller and I always get wide. The nice thick foam orthodic is wonderful for the cut nerve in my arch and the lift I have to wear in one shoe. The sole on the bottom is truly non slip, important for me. The silver color is great for not showing dirt. They lasted a lot longer than anything else I've tired in years. This shoe is called a runner, but it's on the same X lask as the walker, it is a perfect walking shoe. I wear them from the time I get out of bed until just before going to bed. I have the white and blue, the silver (my favortie), and the black. Great shoe Aetrex, just don't stop making them and don't change them.

These shoes run just a little big, but overall are very good. I would recommend getting some of the matching socks to make life easier in case they are a little big for you as well. Definitely a great economical substitute for the Vibram 5 shoes. I recommend them for sure!
