These are a great insole with the needed stiffness and thickness for "walking" shoes (i.e., Rockport Classic Walkers, most hiking boots, etc.). However, they are not a good insole choice to place in light weight sneakers. They are too thick for that and will usually end up feeling cramped on your foot in light weight sneakers.
For "walking" shoes, there is no better choice. I've got a pair of Spenco Walkers in almost all of my daily walking shoes and they hold up very well. Highly recommended as long as you know what you're buying. Much better construction that the insoles made by Dr. Scholl's with their cheesy-looking plastic arch support inserts.I have used the Spenco Polysorb Cross Trainer insoles for 20 years and love what they do for my high end Nike Air Max shoes. They have always been a mandatory upgrade. I decided to try the Walker/Runner Insoles based on favorable reviews only to be very disappointed by the stiffness and lack of comfort. The Total Support Insoles are excellent, providing better support than the Cross Trainer and are vastly more comfortable than the Walker/Runner.
