First off, one can definitely feel the difference between the interchangeable soles; yet, when sliding your foot into the blue sole-laced Air Jordan 2011, you will automatically feel that it is the firmer and more responsive of the two. It actually plays lower to the ground which is definitely an advantage for those who thrive on the perimeter. One cannot be successful playing basketball standing straight up (defensively and offensively), therefore, the low-riding blue sole undoubtedly aids one's ‘horizontal' game. On the perimeter, a player uses a lot of lateral motion whether it is working off of a pick-and-roll or sliding your feet defensively, and the blue sole seems to possess a more ‘active' feel to it. In other words, your foot feels more free, and you are able and more confident to cover ground quicker when using the blue sole. You can credit the heel and forefoot Zoom Air units for this advantage. As with previous Zoom Air laced sneakers, the Air Jordan 2011 feels very flexible and owns a lower profile when incorporating the blue sole. It provides a very stable wear and allows the foot no wiggle room when making impact-heavy, sudden moves such as cuts to the basket, hesitations and unexpected jolts.

I have been running for over 25 years and have NEVER put on a pair of MIzuno's until this week. I have always gravitated toward the Asics or Brooks but when I went to my local running store for a new pair of shoes this week, I really liked the feel of the Wave inspire 8 so I went for it and purchased them. After a few runs, I have to say I am impressed. This shoe is an all around work horse. They are light enough and responsive enough for your short 2-6 mile runs but substantial and supportive enough for the longer runs as well. I love the support coupled with the light feel. They fit so well all over... seem to just mold to my foot. The toe box is roomy but not overly bulky, the arch is perfect, and heel area couldn't be more comfortable. I haven't had these for long... but I am excited to see how they hold up and continue to be my go to running shoe!
And the colors are gorgeous :)

The mizuno wave inspire 7s were awfulparticularly the fit around the ankle and that they felt like they needed "breaking in". The 8s are back to the fit of the 6 with the low ankle and they feel wonderful from first run again. And the colors are gorgeous :)

I was having knee pain and foot blisters in my nike's while training for the LA marathon. I bought these 3 weeks prior to the race and did a 22 mile run in them a day later with NO problems. When running the marathon this past weekend, I had no knee pain or blisters. These shoes are my new favorites. I went up a size and a half from my regular size to allow room for swelling during long runs. They are perfect!Honest reviews on Mizuno Women's Wave Inspire 8 Running Shoe
I was skeptical about spending over $100 on shoes, I've never done that before, but it is money well spent! I have high arches and most shoes make my feet hurt. With these shoes though, I can run for miles and no pain. Very cushiony! Just be sure to get half a size up! They run a little small.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Mizuno Women's Wave Inspire 8 Running Shoe

Our 5 year old saw these online and was extremely excited to receive them. He has been wearing them daily every since (two weeks now). I've found new balance to be a true fit to size and good durability, important if you have boys that wear their tennis shoes daily everywhere. My 3 yr old has a different pair of NB and likes those as well. They haven't complained about how their shoes feel. The rainbow shoe is very colorful and fits very well with our excentric 5 yr olds personal style. I would recommend them.Cheap Mizuno Men's Wave Nirvana 7 Running Shoe

First off, I am overweight at 220 lbs, low arch, and over pronator. I started with a couch to 5k program about 6 months ago and am now jogging 20+ miles a week training for my first half marathon. When I started the C25K Program I was wearing the Brooks Beast. While I liked this shoe as it prevented shin splint problems I had been plagued with in the past, it still seemed heavy and too stiff. I just switched to the Mizuno Wave Nirvana 7 and can say it is a huge improvement over the Brooks Beast. This shoe feels light yet still has plenty of stability. Highly recommended!
My last set of shoes were Brooks Beasts and they were decent... but wore down more quickly than the Mizunos, even with the Powersteps inserted. Eventually my feet started to become numb during a run, and my ankles would ache and hurt in the morning. I decided it was time to switch back to the Mizunos.
I ran once in these and they feel great. My old set of Nirvana 4s were heavier and softer, so this is an exciting new shoe that's lighter (even with a Powerstep Pinnacle MAxx inserted) and seem to support me a lot better.
If you're an overpronator, these are awesome. I would have ranked it 5 stars if I wouldn't need the Powerstep Pinnacle Maxx inserts... but my feet are almost defective, so I need them.
Great shoe.

I have really flat feet and overpronate. I've always needed to buy more high end shoes to help stabilize my feet. I've had 2 sets of Mizunos in the past to help support my awful feet, and they worked great... but pretty much would last about a year to a year and a half before I needed to replace them. I also am using Powerstep Pinnacle inserts to help force an arch in my feet.My last set of shoes were Brooks Beasts and they were decent... but wore down more quickly than the Mizunos, even with the Powersteps inserted. Knee troubles limited my running the last couple years and when rejoining the running world I found myself a season behind in style. The Nirvana 7 made a great leap forward in terms of light weightness and comfort. Being a season behind also allows me to buy at a considerable discount. Always a good thing.Honest reviews on Mizuno Men's Wave Nirvana 7 Running Shoe
Being very flat-footed, I find it hard to locate a good pair of shoes that offer enough arch support and are able to last a while. This shoe felt great for about the first 20 or so runs (2-4 mile each)then I noticed that the support began breaking down. Since then I have added another 10 -15 runs and it is still holding up, but just not as comfortable. I am 6'8" and my weight fluctuates between 205 215 lbs, so I wouldn't consider myself too be heavy. I wouldn't purchase another pair, but instead I will probably purchase another pair of New Balance or maybe experiment with another brand.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Mizuno Men's Wave Nirvana 7 Running Shoe

Having committed to the New Balance 890 for over two years, it broke my heart to discover my favorite running shoe was no longer available. After reading dozens of sensational reviews about this being the best cushioning shoe for a neutral gait runner, I had to try it out for myself. Out of the box, the shoe felt like a dream support in all the right places, comfortable spacing in the toe box and decent arch support (I run with inserts anyway due to fallen arches).
Unfortunately, I took these babies for a spin and wound up with outer knee pain from hell. I average about 30 miles per week in my New Balance shoes with absolutely no knee pain or quad tension. 5 miles in the Asic Gel Nimbus left my knee screaming and my quads miserably knotted. The Gel Nimbus seemed to cause my foot to overpronate dramatically and ruined my natural running stride. The shoe also runs about a half size small. I normally run in an 8, but these shoes were uncomfortably snug.
My take: Not for use with inserts, and definitely not for anyone that has a tendency to overpronate. I replaced them with the Mizuno Enigma Wave (also a neutral cushioning shoe) and seem to be having pretty good luck.

I bought this shoe after it received rave reviews in Runner's World Magazine. In retrospect, I would recommend all runners who are going to spend a lot of money and many hours pounding the pavement in a running shoe to go to a running or sporting goods store and try on several pairs before deciding on a style. This shoe did not fit me properly. I am a neutral runner, which are the runners the shoes are supposed to be made for. However, when I ran in them, they caused me to underpronate, and after I advanced in speed and incline, it eventually gave me a quadriceps injury, which required a few days to recuperate from. I went to a running store, and they told me they fit right, so it wasn't that. I am not the only person who has had trouble with these shoes. Perhaps they would work best for overpronators.Honest reviews on Asics Gel Nimbus 14 Womens Running Shoes Lightning/Purple/Electric
I needed a shoe to replace my worn out Kayanos. I decided to try something new. I like these shoes. The soles have more cushioning than the Kayanos. I did have to go up 1/2 a size from my old shoes (about 2 yrs old), but the new Kayanos fit the same as these. I only gave these a 4 because the blue and purple colors make the shoe very ugly! They were however the only color choice I had.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Asics Gel Nimbus 14 Womens Running Shoes Lightning/Purple/Electric
I have been wearing the Asics Gel Nimbus shoe since number 9. It has been a very comfortable shoe. This shoe is fairly comfortable with the exception of 2 annoyances. First, after wearing the shoe for 4-5 days, I found at the start of the lacing hole nearest to my big toe, there is a tightness that is causing pain. I loosened the laces in this area to relieve the pain but now the shoe is not as supportive as it should be. The 2nd disppointment is that the heel cups are squishing down and despite repeated reforming of the material by hand, the heel cup remains too squishy and flexible to hold my foot in a secure way. Hopefully Asics designers will take notice and make adjustments for number 15!New Balance Women's WL574 Core Plus Collection Running Shoe Review

True to size. I am wearing 7.5 Nike and Saucony, these are 7.5 too, fits very well. But this pair of shoes made my feet felt very hot and wet. Don't know if it's the problem of material. But I'll see later.
And the arch is good to support my feet.

My son received a pair of these and the sole was coming off by day 2. The next week most of the seems had come apart. He only wears them a few hours a day so this says a lot for the quality of the Under Armour product. When they were a small company the products were top notch but over the past 5 years I have seen more and more junk with the Under Armour name on it. Way to go selling out to the Chinese.
We'll see if they last. 10 year old boys are rough with shoes!

...but he really dug these shoes. As in, wears them every day he can. I assume his peers approve of them and that's what matters most to a pre-teen. This is the second pair of these shoes I've purchased. Love love love them! They may not be for everyone, as they are a bit light on the cushioning, but if--like me--you like to feel as connected to the road as possible, I strongly recommend these shoes.
I have trouble finding shoes. These fit like a glove while providing room to move. They are well ventilated and provide enough support that my feet don't hurt at the end of the day.
Liked them so much I bought two pairs!

This is one of the most comfortable shoes or sandal I have ever owned. I first saw these on some ultralight backpackers I met in 2005, and they swore by them for comfort and strong enough to climb rough terrain. For a sandal, that just blew me away. I confess I have not used them to backpack, but I have used them on rough terrain and they are outstanding and amazingly "grippy". It has little nubs on the carbon outer sole that dig into or grip everything.
SIZING: I have read that most people find that they need to buy a half size larger than they do with other shoes, and that was my experience as well.
COMFORT: Tremendous arch support. The sandal has a wide toebox so that your toes are not cramped together, and the protective toe guard is great. I never stub a toe or catch a toe on anything with these, plus I can hide my ugly toes. It also has a little rise on the rear heel that cups your heel comfortably, but helps protect you against those people that step on the back of your foot in line. The sandal feels very secure once it is on and does not slip. There are no straps to fool with or Velcro to adjust, it has an inner lining that looks like the neoprene on a scuba suit, it stretches to fit. The rear strap does not hurt your foot. It has a no lace closure and you set it once, from then on it slips on easy. The footbed cradles my foot like no shoe I have ever seen. There is a little ridge on the inner sole that runs behind the toes and then in between your big toe and other toes, it turns out to add to the comfort of the shoe immensely. That ridge forms in a short time to your foot, giving you your own custom fit. With these shoes I find i can stand longer and walk longer.
GRIP AND TRACTION: It has an anatomical outer sole that is very grippy, with a nice athletic shape, it gives good traction on sand, rock, mud, you name it. It is not slippery on wet surfaces like the dock, and the sole does not leave any marks on floors. The tread does not hold dirt in any grooves to track indoors. It is great for water use, and can be completely submerged with no damage. If it gets wet,the material that wicks the water away fast.
ODOR: It has an anti-microbial treatment that takes away any germs, I do not know how long that treatment lasts though. They do not get sweaty or smelly like my Crocs do.
DURABILITY: I got my money's worth out of them for sure. When my H2's get dirty, I throw them in the sink, under the hose, or even in the washer and they come out like new. I wore these almost daily for 4 months straight with no evidence of wear. It has now been 4 years and I still use them more than any other shoe in the summer. I hope they are still made as durable as they were when I bought mine. This includes vacation, in which I am standing in line all day at theme parks and scrambling at the beach. These come in many colors. For a dressier sandal I also like the brown Dunham Moose Fisherman (actually designed by New Balance). These sandals were good enough to get me to buy two tennis shoes from the same company in the last 4 years, an in-town shoe called Austin and an ugly hiker called the Targhee II. In the end, I just can't say enough about these shoes, I highly recommend.
These sandals are fantastically comfortable and if you get the bison leather, they're actually stylish enough to wear out (well, stylish enough for me, anyways...some might disagree).
Comfort is a 10 out of 10, without question. Really, really nice.
Convenience is a 8 out of 10. Even with the leather ones, you can get them wet, get them muddy, jump in a lake, do whatever you feel like with them. All it takes is a spray down to get stuff off of them.
They get an 8 because of the funk factor they need a soap every once in a while because they will get a little ripe. If your feet sweat, these sandals don't have quite enough ventilation to let it all out. The footbed is apparently anti-odor and, all-a-round, is about as good as you can get. If you have sweaty feet, you'll need to wash them, but washing them is easy. The lack of ventilation is what must be traded for the support and comfort these sandals offer. It's really not that big of a deal.
Use for hiking well...that depends where you're hiking. Trails and rivers and things, they'd probably be 10/10. If, however, you are hiking anywhere with sand you need to leave these at home and herein lies the one flaw with the sandal: stuff that gets in the sandal does NOT get out.
This is because of the toe design which is great for, well, not hurting your toes. But when a rock gets caught in there, you've got to stop and take off the sandal to get it out. If you don't mind stopping occationally to take them off and shake them out, there are no problems.
This flaw also brings up one other minor, but possibly relevant, point to a certain demographic. If you are diabetic and are attracted to these sandals because of the toe guard, you need to look elsewhere. The toe guard is great, but if something gets caught in there, it might not be noticed and a rock in this sandal all day could do serious damage to diabetic feet.
Other than the rock thing, I couldn't ask for anything more.
With regard to the bison sandal after they get wet a few times, the leather will start to fade a bit. If you like the color it fades to then never mind. But if you want them to look the way they did, I put some Doc Martins wonder balsam on them and got the same dark brown color they came with, no problems.

Honest reviews on KEEN Men's Newport Sandal
I bought this shoe after my Trail Gloves were completely worn down after a couple hundred miles of trail running, and pavement running and walking. I purchased these for more barefoot pavement running. Perhaps this is because my Trail Gloves were completely worn down, but I noticed right away that there is much more shoe to the Sonic Glove. The top is not mesh, so it is a little more stiff and they don't breath as well as the Trail Glove, and the sole felt much more solid. I was expecting these to fit just like my Trail Gloves, but the break-in period was more difficult on my feet, even more so than the initial break-in period for my Trail Gloves. For a week and a half the right heel dug into my leg, and I could not wear these shoes unless I taped up the back of my heel. I found this odd just because the frame is so similar to the Trail Glove. Once I got past the break in period the shoes really began to feel great. I put a 25 mile run in mostly on pavement and some trail, and my feet and legs felt fine. Perhaps this is because my barefoot shoes were worn down so much, but I really felt that this shoe felt more like a "normal" sole rather than a barefoot sole.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for KEEN Men's Newport Sandal
I bought a pair and have not taken them off since. Easy to slip on and off these are the perfect pair for someone on the go. The unique toe guard protects your feet like no other sandal of this type. They also dry very quickly so if you spend a lot of time around water these could be the sandals for you. (Although the Newport H2's dry faster) To top it all off they feel great on my feet. Original review:
I have osteoarthritis in my knee, and needed a well cushioned running/walking shoe without too high of a heel, which could also accommodate a pair of PowerStep Pinnacle insoles for walking about 3.5 miles per day. The insoles fit perfectly in these shoes, without making them feel tighter, and the combination provides me with great support and comfort. I have found these shoes to be very comfortable, well cushioned (especially in the heel) and light weight. I compared these to other, much more expensive running shoes costing well over $100, and found that these suited me much better, and at roughly half the price, were a much better value as well. I have never owned Sauconys before, but I am very happy with these and will definitely include this brand when shopping for shoes in the future.

I am an active runner and replace my running shoes once a year. I have become sick of going to the store to essentially get the same thing: a new Saucony or Addidas running shoe that is $50 to $60. I decided to try a new pair online and it worked out great. I love saucony and this pair is light and tough at the same time. Very happy.Best Deals on Saucony Men's Grid Cohesion 4 Running Shoe
Update 4/2/13: It's been about 1 year & 9 months since I bought these shoes, and I think they'll still last several more months. I walk about 12-14 miles per week. The inner lining at the back of each shoe is starting to wear through, and the outer black rubber soles right at the rear edge of the heels has also started to wear through (not surprising since I'm a heel striker). They still look pretty decent for how old they are (I've thrown them into the washer once). They are still as comfortable as the day I first put them on, and have been the best shoes (along with the Powerstep Pinnacle insoles) I have ever worn for my osteoarthritis. I liked them so much that I bought another pair about a year ago and put them into storage for the day that this current pair finally wears out.---------------------------------------------------------------------------
