I just looked at these shoes at a specialty store since my son wears a wide width and they were over $50. I got them here under $30 so it was a great find. However, a few days later I went to order another pair in a different color and the price went up to $40. I guess I learned my lesson and will purchase then next pair sooner.

Cheap Inov-8 Men's Roclite 319 Urban Runner

I received the 319s for Christmas and have only ran on single track trails (hard packed dirt; mud; rocks). I have been running in size 13 Saucony Xodus Progrids; love them but they are a little tight for my foot but have a great feel for technical trails. The main reason for purchasing the 319s was that I have a wide foot and really need a 13.5 trail shoe. My road trainers are New Balance 993s, size 13 2E width and they fit perfect. The 319s do not come in 13.5 but the size 13 is roomier in the toe box which makes them perfect for trail runs exceeding 15 miles. The tread/lugs are aggressive and do take up a bit of mud which can weight the shoe down. My 1st run was a 10 mile trail run and they felt great no break-in required. Great support and cushion without losing too much feel for the trail. Really bought these for 50K and above trail races if I need speed and a more responsive trail feel I will wear my Saucony Xodus Progrids with Vibram soles; but for shorter races. The laces are very thin for quick lacing..the only problem is that even with double knotting they tend to loosen up; but this may because they are new and need a bit more dirt and spit on them to keep them tight. Purchased at RunningWarehouse for $59. Use the coupon code FB15D to save another 15%. . Well worth a shot if you are looking for a good trail shoe for longer distance or if you are transitioning from road to trail. I will add more to this review as I put more miles on them.

Very slippery on wet rock, concrete and other hard surfaces bordering on the dangerous in fact. A real shame as apart from that they fit well.

Don't think these are available anymore, so the price above should be enough to try them. I bought them for a 3 week trip to South America and spent long days on city streets and rural trails/rocky areas and they were great. Big toe box for comfortable fit, but can be snugged up easily with the laces.....which I must say is one of the best lacing shoes I've ever owned easy zippy pull and they are locked in.

One downside breathability. They started to get a little funky after just a couple months, so ventilate well when not wearing to keep them fresh.

I just picked my boots up from the warehouse. I had realized after I had bought them, I had bought a size 6 and had originally tried on the size 7 in store. From the beginning, when I first looked into buying them, I tried on a size 7 (my usual size) and found my toes were near the end. I found the size 8 to fit nicer, but understood they stretch out over time, thus I planned to buy a 7.

I understand they are suppose to stretch out, but with the 6 my toes are at the end and my feel uncomfortably pinched. In the end, I decided to return the size 6 and go for a 7 regardless of the stretching factor.

For quality, I wore them tonight at -20 degrees celcius and my bare feet felt warm and tosty. I did alot of research in to the differences between these and UGGS, and with Edmonton winters, I found the EMUS were better suited. EMUs have a rubber sole with an outer tread so they have some grip against ice, the UGG EVA sole does not have this, and will most likely wear faster against the sand and gravel put out on the streets. I like the ergonomical removalble sole in the EMUs, which I don't know for sure is in the UGG boots. I'm not sure how effective the EMU advertised water resistance will be, but judging by other suede boots I have owned with a water resistance coating, they most likely will hold up against dry powder. I also did compare materials used between the ALBA and UGG styles, and both uses double faced sheepskin, not wool like cheaper EMU. Apparently, the actual sheepskin is much warmer than wool.

Overall I am quite satisfied with the boot. The design is nice and more unique (how unique can you get with such a trendy boot though?!).

JANUARY UPDATE:

By coincidence, I had the ability to test out the warmth factor in -22 degree Celsius weather for 45 minutes. After the LRT broke down, I had to wait outside for a transfer bus to arrive and with a large group of other people, we stood outside for 45 minutes. After waiting 3/4 of an hour, doing nothing but standing (in the wind too), I happily had warm feet while everyone around me seemed to be mentioning how they could no longer feel their toes! I am extremely happy with the warmth factor of these boots. I also must note that I have yet to slip in these boots... the traction is not bad.

Again, the size 7 (my regular size) has slightly stretched out now...they fit perfectly!

I own several pairs of UGGs and EMUs. The UGGS are slightly less bulky and more feminine looking (if that's possible with this type of boot), but I much prefer the EMUs for comfort and arch support. I have about 8 pairs of EMUs now in different heights,colors, and styles. Most of them I've bought on Amazon Gold Box deals over the last two years (hint: keep your eyes open right after Christmas). Anyway, I loved the look of the Alba boot so I couldn't resist the Gold Box deal of $44.70 even though I had sworn to myself that I wouldn't order any more boots. When they arrived I was in love...they were so cute and oh so comfy. However, the left boot that was sent to me had a constant foldover flop or "dog ear" on the outer side the side that is most visible. No matter what I did I couldn't get it to stay up. I tried to just live with it, but it annoyed me so much that I had to send them back. If the drooping had been on the inner side I might have kept them. It pained me to send these back!!! I wanted a replacement instead of refund, but that wasn't an option. I would buy these boots again in a heartbeat at the price I paid. I give 4 stars because of my defect..would have been 5 stars.

BTW, to anyone wondering, I definitely recommend sizing down with this type of boot. Even if the toes feel a little tight at first, they stretch out very quickly, usually in the first day or two. All of my EMUs and UGGs are in size 5 and I normally wear a size 6 in every other type of shoe.

I originally bought a pair of size 7 (my regular size is 7.5) and my toes were pinched in the front so I returned it and bought a pair of size 8. Now they are too big. The shoes are getting bigger and bigger after few wears. Since my right foot is smaller than my left foot (regular size 7), the whole right shoe slips while I walk; it feels like I am wearing a slipper on the my right foot. My left foot slightly slips when I walk as well. I would definitely recommend to buy your regular shoe size and don't go one size up even though the shoes fit pretty tight first. These shoes will get bigger after few wears. I actually spent $119 on them and now I can't return them since I already wore them. :( However, I really like the material of the shoes and the look of the shoes.

I ordered these like others for only $44. I also ordered a pair of Uggs for MUCH more around the same time, and they arrived the same day. There was not even a difference. The Emus were MUCH more comfy than the Uggs, hands down. I have worn them for 2 days now in below 0 weather (-12 and -17 respectfully) and my feet stayed nice and toasty warm. They were worn through a small amount of snow, with no leaking. I also wore them in icy conditions and NO problems with slipping at all. What I love the MOST is that it is like wearing slippers all day long! The Alba is super plush, and they ran very true to size for me (DO NOT ORDER A SIZE SMALLER). I would pay the over $100 for these boots in a heart beat over the Uggs . . . which were given to my sister. Like someone else said, they are like walking on a cloud. PLEASE Amazon bring back the gold box pricing on these!!!!

First, let me start by saying, that I "love" everything about these boots!! I have had one pair of a similar type of boot, by "Bearpaw". I liked them, but when the EMU went on lighting deal, at 70% off, I went ahead and ordered a pair. I am so glad I did! They are beautiful all the way around, comfortable, and well made. I ordered down a size, per others reviews, and they fit perfect. I actually ordered two pairs, and I am still waiting for the other pair. I got the Alba style, in Charcoal.. they look so good on! I can't say enough about this company and the beautiful products they make!! Check out their website, and you will see that you are getting a top notch product, by people who know what they are doing. I am so glad I upgraded to these boots, they are made of beautiful sheepskin, merino fur, and have a really good foundation/sole to them. These boots exude quality, you should really try them!

This is a great shoe. I've purchased about 4 pairs now, 3 from sports stores the last pair from Amazon. I wear custom Orthodics and shoe shopping is somewhat of a nightmare for me. I need a shoe with a deep heel that also has a removable sole. Not to mention that the shoe has to be wide enough to fit the orthodic AND my wide foot. This shoe is just AWESOME!! I can not only remove the sole of the shoe, but once I put in my Orthodics, my foot just slides in. When the shoe is too narrow, the shoe will squeak like a wet shoe only worse. It is very annoying and they don't stop making noise even when the shoe is well broken in. With these, I have no squeaking. they are very comfortable, last a long time and support my feet. I'm on my feet most of the day and my back and feet don't hurt as much with these shoes. I would highly recommend them to anyone who not only has wide feet(like I do) but who also has to wear inserts. Thanks Nike for providing a wide shoe for those who need it.

Order a .5 size under what you usually wear and you will be happy, these shoes run bigger than advertised. I made the mistake of ordering my size and played the return game with Amazon only to eventually buy them in a store where I could try them on. Aside from the sizing issues there are great shoes (so far, can't speak to any real durability issues yet) They are good for trail running, but be ready for an adjustment if you're used to light weight runnersthese shoes are heavy, but we're working out so that's OK! they are very stable and grippy on a variety of surfaces, however they are designed, even low top models offer me and my weak ankles a lot support and confidence. I wore these shoes on a hiking trip and we git rained on BAD, my feet stayed dry, honestly. I'm skeptical of "waterproof" but these are very, very water resistant at least. Definitely fork over the extra money for models with "Clima shield"dry feet are happy feet. I have had a little seperation between the soles already but only minimal and nothing that shoe goo can't fix quick.

Got them here in Afghanistan on my deployment and they are extremely comfortable. However, I had them for 3-weeks and the straps that secure the laces broke. I like the rubberized toe, sole, weight, and overall comfort. However, the shoe lace concept they have is more than lacking with the small tabs they have that secure the pull string. Shoes that cost this much shouldn't fall apart after 3-weeks of normal wear in the gym. I haven't even went "off road" with them yet. Now that I have a pair of shoes that I can't keep on my feet and I'm stuck in Afghanistan, not sure how I'm going to fix this problem.

I usually wear a size 9 or 43 european. I bought a size 9 and it fits me perfect. (think this translates to a 42 and 2/3 to be exact)

It's a REALLY nice walking shoe in the terrain. In warm weather you could wish for it to be a little bit cooler, but as a spring/fall shoe and in pretty much all weathers you are going to like it! I had another pair for 3 years all year round until it fell apart. ANd the fact that I bought the same shoe again should tell the story pretty well :)

I know there are a lot of reviews out there for both of these types of shoes... trust me i read most of them. For the most part they are correct, it is user preference. So, i couldn't decide and bought both, i have a pair of Inov-8 230's and i just bought a pair of the Nano 2.0's.

Quite simply i like them both but if i take into account which i wear more often through the week (Crossfit 5 times a week) its the Nano 2.0's.

I like that they feel good as i am transitioning to the "natural running" style. They don't feel bad on my heels when i start to lose my running form. I like the toe spread up front. Over all its just a comfortable shoe. I keep meaning to wear my Inov's again but i can't help but always reach for the Nano's when its' time to go.

And love that Reebok lets you design your own. Really liking my Reebok Nano 2.0's!

Rubs a raw spot behind the ball of my foot.

The support features of this shoe work differently than the typical method of building up the insole. You can read all the marketing hype on the web-site, but you won't know if it works for you until you try it. It works for me and I have a lot less pain and stress than in my neutral running shoes. I'm still adjusting to a support shoe so that may explain the blister.

Ok, So my husband first purchased these shoes from like Rack Room Shoes or some place like that several years ago. Once they wore out (like 3 years later) we went back but they only sold these UGLY bright red and funky looking FILAs. We found that these specific black ones could only be purchased online. He's VERY picky about his shoes, they must be black, must be FILA, and must be these! The last pair I bought for him was back in like 2008, and they are still looking NEW! It's a very good product, wears long, and looks good!

The quality is good, they look great, but be aware of 2 things. First, they seem to run a little small. A 1/2 size larger than I normally wear is perfect in this shoe. Second, the laces are the round, cord type as opposed to a flat lace. Not a big deal, but if you're annoyed by the way any and every thing outdoors seems to stick to the round laces, be ready to replace them. Overall very sharp with a thick sole. Even for someone who drags their heels, etc. they should last a good long while. Sale price is good and as always Amazon shipping was fast.
