I was set on getting myself another pair of Nike shoes after having my last pair for over 5 years.... When I got these they were everything I was looking for and then some... Most shoes you have to knot to keep from untying, but that wasn't the case with these, simply because the laces are square. But after 5 months the straps in the inside of the shoes that are meant to give your foot support have started to rip and that makes them useless because the eyes for the shoe laces are attached to them... great idea... but bad plan..... Nike is sending me a voucher to replace them after I pay to send them back... :( not too happy about having to pay to ship them back due to their craftsmanship issues. But life will go on. :)

I didnt like this shoe. It didnt fit my foot right and it was not comfortable. I am a long distance runner and these shoes do not work for that. They do not have much support, the sole was thin and were not very comfortable. They were cute though.

Been wearing these for a couple of weeks in my steel toes at work. I do allot of standing, and walking. I first tried the new ballance pressure relief. They lasted about three months. The top sole wore off where my big toe was and became unbearable. The material was very cushy but gripped too much, making it ware out too quickly. These Motion Control insoles have a woven top material, that breaths much better and allows some slip. Also they're not too think or too thin, so no mushing my pinky toe into the side of the shoe, which i have a major problem with on my left foot, since my pinky toe on that foot sticks out more than the right. With no insoles in my work shoes my feet will feel like they are on fire after a couple hours. I can wear these all night and my feet don't feel like I'm walking on a bed of coals combined with needles. Also I noticed my ankles won't pop as bad when I move them around when i get into bed at night and stretch them some. I guess that has to do with meta-dermal pad. Also the pressure relief always hurt for the first thirty minutes cause it has an insanely high meta-dermal pad. Anyway, working good so far, hope this helps out for the big footed tall dudes out there like me make up their mind.

This is a great insert. It does however run large so figure on ordering 1/2 size or full size smaller than you normally would to fit your shoe. There is good underfoot support from the heel plantar fascia to the metatarsals. Be wary however of the type of material that lines the bottom of your shoes that you are putting these in. The orange padding that is under your forefoot on these insoles will squeek against other smooth surface foam lining that can sometimes be found on the bottom of shoes. Nothing is more annoying than squeeking while you take each step for an entire workday.

I am really impressed with how much these help my New Balance shoes help my feet after a long day at work. I have ordered two more pair for my other shoes including for a brand new pair as these are much better than the stock insoles. I tried some very expensive Silastic insoles from Germany and these are much better as far as how my feet feel at the end of the day.

I bought these shoes back in December 2012 and waited to do a review until my son was done with the shoe-either through wear and tear or due to shoe size. This time, shockingly, it was due to his feet growing. My son is a very athletic boy and he plays hard in his shoes. Usually a good athletic shoe lasts maybe three months, four months if we're lucky! As you can see this shoe has lasted us for almost a full six months. What I've observed while my son has roared through the house and one too many tennis courts and soccer fields is that these shoes are made of high quality. It took him four months before i saw the first signs of fraying in some of the stitching.

As great an experience we had with these shoes there are some things to be cautious of: 1) if your child has wide feet or a high arch you're going to want to go a half size bigger than his true foot size. 2) As with all velcro straps they start to break down after the first few washes. We never had the velcro completely fall off-even with my son yanking on them-but they did have trouble sticking after three months and at month six they would randomly come undone while walking through a store.

All to say, my family and I had a great experience with the shoe. My son loved them, received tons of compliments and was sad he had to part with them. We wouldn't hesitate to buy the shoes again!

I have been buying Puma sneakers for my 8yr old son for a couple of years thru Amazon. My son had a size 1 that had grown too snug. I wanted to go a little bit bigger so he would have room. They arrived and the size 2 fits well with some room but not too bulky. My son requires a lightweight shoe which these Puma's are. Easy to clean with damp cloth and all previous Puma sneakers held well, including the Velcro which was an issue with other name brands. Ordering another pair in different coloring.

1) Tried and true NB fit. I have always worn a single NB size and this shoe is no exception. Perfect fit to size provided you already know what New Balance size fits you.

2) Soft as a pillow. At first I was expecting some rough feel since this is a fairly heavy shoes and meant for trails but after wearing it for a week, it's quite amazing. Extremely soft feel on every step during trail hiking.

3) Never got tired feet with this shoes. Great feel and wears much lighter than the picture would indicate. It looks bulky and the specs shows a normal to heavy shoes but wears like a feather.

Cons

1) Not the cheapest of shoes.

2) Bulking looking.

I picked these up as really my only option. I like a wide toe box on my shoes, most shoes have gone away from that so that leaves me buying a 2E width. This was really the only trail runner I could find in that size. Its got too much padding/stability built in for my tastes and too much heal lift. I knew that going in, but it was my only option. Took them on my first hike this weekend and the tread blocks are already ripping off or pealing. Given, this was a rocky wash and would be tough on any shoe. But this is the worst wear I have seen on any of my New Balance shoes. The quality and fit have been heading down hill for the past two years. If you don't want a barefoot type running shoe, you have almost no options. If you are going to stick to roads and dirt/light duty trails, they may hold together. But you better like all the stability stuff built in, I actually find them a little odd feeling on pavement.

I have flat, wide feet and have always had trouble finding shoes that fit. The best I could hope for is that the shoe would not hurt for too long and that it will eventually stretch out. These shoes, though, fit great right from the start. It's amazing, the extra little grip I get as I scrabble over moss-covered rock and root and they make all the difference when it comes to trail running (these are not hugely technical trails, but they can easily twist an ankle). My only complaint, for which I will not remove any stars, is that they are a little gaudy. Luckily, a few trips through the swamp took care of that. Besides, if I trip, fall, and am eaten by wild things, at least there's a chance someone will spot my shoes.

For me this is quite a departure from the traditional running shoes I have used. They are very light weight. The shoe fits like a glove and very comfortable with no slippage. The heel impact is noticeably softer. Time will tell how much punishment the "four" shock absorbers will take. I am not so much interested in looks as I am shock dampening. That being said, the shoes appearance has led to several compliments from my gym buddies. The heel cup is nice and snug. I really like how it laces up. (Very even distribution and again no slippage). Even though it is a running shoe I am very happy with how comfortable and stable it is for walking around the gym and lifting weights. I think it is a great running shoe...more later jfm

I was very eager to try these shoes, which offered a rare combination of light weight, cushioning, durability, and support. Unfortunately, upon my very first use, the laces kept coming apart at the top, as well as loosening during my run; and no matter what the tension of the elastic, the shoes pinched at the instep. I have low arches, so this issue was surprising. With some regret and disappointment, I have arranged to return the shoes for a refund; I'd hoped they would break in, and I even called the manufacturer with specific questions, but without resolution.

I have been using these shoes to train for and race Ironman this year. I have had no problems. The shoes fit comfortably with and without socks. Without a thin sock, I do get blisters on the Achilles, so I always wear socks. The shoes slip on quickly and have easy grips. I prefer the no tie lacing. Recommend!
