This is the second pair I've purchased of the exact same shoe. I bought boys size because the width is better for me even though I normally wear women's shoes. The support is excellent, you can dress this shoe up or down. It's a very versatile great looking shoe. My older pair ,still not in bad shape, lasted at least 7 yrs.At my son's school, he has to wear black or brown leather shoes. He hated the first ones I bought him because he said they hurt. These are comfy, but most important, he can get them on by himself.

Ordered these for my son. At first they didn't feel very cushioned on the footbed but as he continued to wear them he really likes them and is wearing them daily. He probably won't be running in them, but they are a well made and solid shoe.

These are sooooo comfortable. I wear them to work they are great for a sitting half/walking half the time time job. I normally wear a size 9 but I have found that New Balance fits better if order up 1/2 size. Love them!

This is the trail version of the WT20, but not quite. I really loved the running version WT20 which shows a strong arch support and a really flat sole. This one shows the flat sole and the arch support but maybe due to the leather is not as flexible and therefore not as comfortable. I bought those for walking (city type) as I like the flat sole. But I found them not easy to get used to and after a short while my feet would hurt. Be aware that walking too often and too long with this type of shoes can hurt your Achilles tendon (read about this type of shoes before buying) But they help you as well to build the appropriate running posture with time. Overall consider the WT20 version for more comfort.Best Deals on New Balance Women's WO20 Minimus Trail Running Shoe
I was concerned about buying the minimus shoe because of previous reviews, but I wanted a lightweight shoe so I could workout while traveling. These are great. I wore them a few times to workout at home, and they were so comfortable. I am very satisified with the purchase.Honest reviews on New Balance Women's WO20 Minimus Trail Running Shoe

I got these for dog walking and various occasionally wet situations. I walk on rocky dirt paths and flipflops were not cutting it any more. I needed more sure footing and wanted my feet to feel more protected yet I HATE wearing closed shoes and even worse I hate wearing socks so these seemed like a great in between. If I wear regular sneakers w/o socks it seems like they get gross really fast. These are more open and my feet stay cool. They are easy to get on and off without loosening yet stay on my feet. I can feel seems and such when I put them on and I worried they would give me blisters but I have walked about 6-7 miles and no blisters yet. I have not gotten them soaking wet yet, hopefully they keep their shape. They feel true to size to me, maybe slightly large. I usually wear a 9 but sometimes prefer 9.5 and since I have another pair of timberlands that are 9.5 I tried that first but they were too big. I exchanged for a 9 and they were perfect but nowhere near tight and there is a lot of give in them so stick to the smaller end of your size. My feet are average width, I think wider feet might do ok but narrow ones probably not.
UpdateI have now put ALOT of wear in these and still love them. As they have softened up it is harder to keep the heal straps cinched down but even when they loosen it is not as though my feet are gonna slip out or anything, just not as snug as they were. I washed them in the washing machine and they did great. I have gotten them completely wet on the boat and they did fine. I believe they are being discontinued so I just got a second pair and they are awesome.

I purchased these shoes to wear when I take my Goldens swimming in the lake. I find them to be very comfortable, true to size and I can now walk in and around the rocky lake without slipping or damaging my feet. They are easy to slip on & off and while in the water rocks or small pebbles don't enter the shoes. I would not hesitate to purchase another pair.Best Deals on Timberland Women's Ocean Park Lace Loafer

My son hates shoe-shopping, so this is the first time I've broken down and ordered shoes online. Very pleased with fit, color, and style of this shoe.I bought this shoe for my 11 year old grandson. He wears xwide. He has flat feet also.So it is very hard to fit him with a comfortable shoe. The Saucony comes across for me time after time.I can always count on it .

The shoe however runs a little narrow for those with slightly wider feet.

Simply stated, I need a all white shoe/sneaker for my uniform, and deck shoes simply were hurting my feet with all the running about I have to do. So I went searching for an all white pair of runners and found these beauties! At first wear, I didn't know if I was going to like them, as they were tight and constrictive and very narrow towards the front. They do require a wear in period (about 3 days of solid wear), and the leather softens up to your foot and from that point on they are super comfortable. No more headaches at the end of the day from the impact my feet take running about the ship and they breathe really well so my feet don't stink either. Great purchase and I'm glad I got them.Honest reviews on Nike Air Max 90

I found these to be a great improvement to the previous version of Bare Access. The full Vibram outsole is a huge upgrade compared to the foamy stuff used before. I've already put around 300 miles on these shoes and have had no irritation/rub issues. Does run a half size larger as mentioned in the fitting. These are very similar to the New Balance Minimus MR00's. Does very well over stones and gravel on the roads. One thing you will notice is that it picks up small pebbles but does not cause any problems to the way it rides. Grip is really amazing in comparison to previous version and other brands. Have ran several times in rainy, wet conditions with no problems to date. The tread sounds cool too, almost like a tire going over the pavement. Update: I am on my 5th pair of Bare Access 2's. These are still my absolute favorite minimal, zero-drop shoe. The treadwear far exceeds several of the other big brand names I have tried in the past. I am getting close to 400-500mi per with tread to spare. Really impressed. Hope Merrell doesn't update anytime soon.
So naturally i was extremely pleased to see the new version had been released with increased sole durability etc! Precisely what was needed i thought!
I have pretty wide forefeet due to being 'barefoot' for some time now and my toes and metatarsals naturally splaying our a little.
As soon as i put the Bare access 2 on my worst fear was realized! the toe box is much more cramped than the previous version!
This could well be due to the rubber 'support' lines that run along the fabric of the shoe to the toes (black likes shown going to the forefoot in the image). They are clearly a 'support' aspect to the design but actually cramp in the little toe and push in on the little toe metatarsal. This makes for a very uncomfortable ride when running and limits your distance.
Why o Why did you do this Merrell! You had a super comfortable and very flexible shoe ... if you had just changed the sole unit out for this one it would have been perfection!
Cheers
Unfortunately, based on where I live I am forced to do most of my running on concrete sidewalks and brick streets, so while I loved my mimimus cross trainers, I was a little reluctant to switch to a barefoot style running shoe. If I did mostly trail running or cross country style running, the choice would have been much easier. I started out with the original NB Minimus Road, New Balance Minimus Barefoot 10 Running Shoe Mens I eased into them and found that I really liked them, I didn't have any injuries with them and I generally felt lighter on my feet. I also think it's good to work your leg muscles more naturally. That was about a year and a half ago, so I've been running in minimal style shoes for that long w/ no problems.
When it was time to replace those NB, I first ordered the NB Minimus Ionix New Balance Men's M3090 Athletic Running Shoe, which I HATED. It was marketed as part of the minimus line, but felt bulky compared to the original road. So I quickly replaced with the newer zero-trop NB Minimus Road MR00SB New Balance Men's MR00 MinimusRunning Shoes, which I loved at first but after a couple of weeks running I started to develop some pain that I had never experienced with the original Roads ... the zero drop I think would be great on grass, but didn't give enough cushioning on concrete or roads, for me.
So reluctantly, I switched over to the Merrell Bare Access 2. I already had a pair of the Merrel Trail Gloves Merrell Men's Barefoot Trail Glove (bought for a savage race, love them would wear them more if I ran offroad more) which I liked. The BA2 is my favorite minimal road shoe so far (though I still really like those original NB Roads linked above). For running on roads, the BA2 I think gets it right as far as combining enough minimal feel while at the same time having sufficient cushioning/support for road running. I haven't had any pain issues with them so far, while at the same time still have that lighter on my feet, more natural running feel compared to traditional running shoes which feel clumsy in comparison. Some have commented they aren't true zero drop that's probably true, they don't feel as flat as the zero-drop NB I mentioned earlier, but that's ok as the zeros didn't work for road running, for me. I think the BA2 is flat enough. I've been running in them for about a month in a half now with no problems.
The BA2 fits a little small. I'm normally a size 10 for New Balances and ordered a 9.5 in the Merrels (the trail glove similarly fit me small), which fits me well and I wear them with thin running socks. The overall quality, fit and finish etc is very good, there are no rough areas that cause any rubbing or anything like that.
I have them in charcoal and I like the styling. I like that they are minimal but at the same time look like "normal" shoes I've never worn and would not wear five fangers.
Sorry for the longwinded review ... bottom line is I've tried several minimal style road running shoes and the Bare Access 2 is my favorite so far, unless I start having problems I will stop switching around and will just stick with these. I think it's the right balance between "minimal" while providing enough support for running on hard surfaces.

I've had the Bare Access 2's for about a month now and they are excellent. I use these shoes to run in (25-30 miles a week) and for everyday use. They are super light and have just the right amount of cushion. I use the trail gloves for trail running, and VFF's for shorter runs, but the bare access 2's are perfect for longer 10+ mile runs when I want more support. In trying to find a lightweight minimal shoe with some cushion I ran in the Brooks Pure Connect's for several 5/10k's last year, and they never felt quite right, but these merrell's are perfect. If you are looking for a minimal show with no drop but want more cushion than VFF's or something from their "Glove" series I highly recommend these.Best Deals on Merrell Men's Bare Access 2 Running Shoe
I have 3 pairs of the original Bare access, that is how much i rate them as a Bare foot running shoe with a little extra padding. So naturally i was extremely pleased to see the new version had been released with increased sole durability etc! Precisely what was needed i thought!

I've been on this minimal thing for a couple years now, starting with the original NB Minimus cross trainers New Balance Men's MX20 Minimus Training Shoe that I still wear for my gym workouts. I also run about 15 miles a week (~5 mile 3x a week) and I liked working out in the minimuses so much I thought about switching to minimus running shoes.Unfortunately, based on where I live I am forced to do most of my running on concrete sidewalks and brick streets, so while I loved my mimimus cross trainers, I was a little reluctant to switch to a barefoot style running shoe. I am a nurse who stands and walks for 11 hours or so at a time. I have had nothing but pain from every shoe I've tried and was considering orthotics. I asked a salesman about these (who was wearing these himself in a concrete-floor sportsman's store) who said they worked great for him and many of his staff. I bought them Merrell Men's Bare Access 2 Sneaker with the warning they took a few weeks to adapt to them. My first night at work I wore them the whole shift and loved them. I wear them all the time and can't get over how light and comfortable they are and best of all my feet no longer hurt. I would tell anyone to give them a try I was pleasantly surprised.Cheap AVIA Men's A5020M Running Shoe

very comfortable and supportive for my feet and back. these are the only sneakers i can wear that prevent my heel pain and back pain. i do not care how they look because they feel great!
This pair is not so great. There is a decorative strip along the sole which ends in a little emblem on the inside arch of the shoe. Almost immediately, both of these emblems came loose and started to flap alongside. My family saw this and joked that they looked like curb-feelers.
I recently pulled them off as much as possible, cutting them at the end, so they wouldn't trip me up. That's how bad they were. One of them was like a loose shoelace.
I am a little disappointed with this pair, for this reason. They still feel good, and are comfortable, but to have parts of the shoe just start falling off, after only two weeks of wear, seems a little chintzy and off to me.
My shin still hurts because i already injured it a while ago.
But it defi feels diff from the first crap shoes i had.

This is my 19 month old daughter's third pair of shoes since she started walking 8 months ago (feet are growing fast!). Her first two pairs were Nikes, and although they were nice shoes, the Sauconys just fit better. I like how flexible the soles are, as the Nikes seemed stiff, which always concerned me because I was afraid it would cause her to fall when running. No worries with these Sauconys--they fit, flex, and feel like running shoes for "grown ups". Most importantly, my daughter really seems to like them.Best Deals on Saucony Crossfire A/C Running Shoe (Toddler/Little Kid)

These shoes run true to fit and are the lightest I've worn (I'm not someone who is interested in minimalist running shoes and my understanding is that these are about as light as you can get and still get the cushioned sole, which I like). The yellow is definitely bright, which i like even brighter than evidenced in the picture a virtual neon, actually. This is about the fifth pair of New Balance shoes I have owned for running. I used to wear Nike (several pairs) but find these a perfect blend of weight and comfort. If you want a very lightweight shoe but don't want to give up the comfort of a cushioned sole, these are for you.

I bought these shoes because they're cute. I have plantar fascitis (undiagnosed) and the tight fit on the shoe felt so good on my heels.
