Very light, well made, fits my son perfectly (i got size 11 it is a little bigger then his foot, but he is bet 10.5 and 11). he loves it. it is good looking and MACHINE Washable! This is our second pair of tsukihoshi and both are great. oh, yeah. and his feet no longer stink even during hot New York summer thanks to insoles, i guess, or the fact that they are washable or both.

I order this shoes in size 9.5 since my daughter is wearing 9 right now, and reading the description and reviews I thought 9.5 would fit like a size 10 since I wanted room for her feet to grow, but it didn't, it barely fit her, I'm thinking maybe could be because of the width, they only had M left and I usually buy the W, so that may be the reason why they didn't feel bigger. But I sent them back and ordered size 10.5M and they fit great! With a little bit of room for her feet to grow and very comfortable. The customer service representatives that helped me with the return/exchange were very helpful and when I went in to order the size bigger, they had gone $5 cheaper so I even got the refund for the price difference, we are very happy with how everything turned out. Thank you Amazon!

Durable, long lasting. Makes for a very decent looking pair of school shoes. Has velcro straps. Runs half size big and wide. My toddlers love them because they are available in good colors (my daughter owns them in the red) and are so easy to put on and remove. Also, the tongue is stitched to one side and makes it so much easier for the kid to put them on. I have occasionally put them in the washer with cold water and air dried them. They clean up very well. The only disadvantage is they are a little pricey compared to similar shoes (New Balance had similar shoes but not in these sizes). But they seem so comfortable and I have never seen my kids trip in them when they are running around that I think they are worth the buy. Between my kids they have 4 pairs of these shoes at any time, and each one of these pairs have withstood the test of active play and kicking around over the years.

Honest reviews on Tsukihoshi CHILD40 Denali Sneaker (Toddler/Little Kid)

Last summer I bought 2 pairs (1 in navy and 1 in black) of this brand of shoe for my then 4 year old grandson. I bought them at a local store. He loved them and thought they made him 'go fast'. They lasted all year long, never looked worn, and were only replaced because he outgrew them. This year, I went back to the same store. I was disappointed that they did not have more choices of color combinations. So, I bought 1 (brown) pair there, and then went to Amazon to get this 2nd (navy) pair. They are very easy for him to put on all by himself, and he does go fast! As far as the price difference, Amazon was less than $10 more than the store, but Amazon had many more choices, and delivered them to my door. However, I'm very glad that I went to the store to have his foot measured for this brand so I could be sure when ordering online.

I have flat feet, pretty severe over-pronation (my foot turns outward too much when I walk or run), and I'm an active college student on a large campus who just happens to love running for exercise when I'm not running to class. I needed a lightweight, versatile shoe that could stabilize my stride and take me through runs on pavement, grass, rain, mud, or snow. These have delivered on all counts, and they look and feel good doing it.

Before I got these, I had the Wave Alchemy 9. I was sad when I realized I had to retire my old shoes, and I knew I wanted another pair of Mizunos. I read some unfavorable reviews on the Wave Alchemy 10's, but I honestly can't tell much of a difference except for a slightly slimmer fit and smoother ride. They are not constricting [at least not to my feet, which run slightly narrow], and they mold well to my feet. The all-over ventilation is a must-have. I can go nonstop in these from 5:30 AM to 10:30 PM, and my feet won't hurt. Though I have yet to land in a patch of slimy mud in them [yay shortcuts!], they seem to use the same fabrics on these as they did on the 9's. Once, I got my old shoes completely submerged in mud up to the tops of the laces, and they washed out just fine with some stain remover and soap.

Overall, I'm very happy with my new shoes and I look forward to many more pain-free miles in them.

These shoes are good for stability but also pretty light. downside: they break down about twice as quickly as Brooks Ariel or other heavier stability shoes. I have to replace these about every 3 months, running an average of 5 miles three to four times a week.

Like other reviewers, I have been wearing the Wave Alchemy for years. They were the first pair of perfect running shoes that I owned -I didn't realize you could run without pain until I ran on them. For years, I have simply reordered them to replace my worn shoes and could count on them to be an immediate perfect fit. I could wear them brand new on a long run day without any issues at all. Sadly when I received the Wave Alchemy 10, the minute I put them on my feet I could tell that the style had changed. They felt completely unnatural even just standing. I sadly had to return them and switch to a different brand of shoe, which while an okay fit does not even compare to the original Wave Alchemy. If you are a loyal Wave Alchemy wearer, be aware that the 10's will not fit like previos versions. Happy Running!

Honest reviews on Mizuno Women's Wave Alchemy 10 Running Shoe

I have previously run in the Alchemy 9. They fit great, nice blend of stability, cushion and flexibility. I bought these, same size and noticed right away that the fit felt different. The front of the shoe is much more narrow. I ran a bit on the treadmill thank goodness and in a few hours, my neuroma was hurting...this happens when I wear high heels or narrow shoes. Back they went. I couldn't find them in a wide width so I bought the men's version. So far, so good....

Terrible return policy. I tried on a pair of these shoes and realized they were too big for my feet, so I returned them, wishing to exchange for a smaller size. Zenzo shoes said they had been worn and couldn't refund me, and I have yet to hear from them. Basically kept my shoes and my money. Not good!

I Bought this shoe for my husband for his birthday. He said he received more compliments on this, than a more expensive one he wore the day before. This shoe looks much better, than the picture( not doing it justice!). I bought it with the intention of the weekend with jeans, can be worn dress down or up. Looks good either way!!!!!

The shoes I was sent are fakes. I verified with the Vibram website and there are subtle differences. Go to vibramfivefingerdotcom and compare the photo there with this photo. I wish I had and not trusted Amazon. These shoes are too short and squeeze my toes. Have 2 other real pair that are lovely. These make me glad to take them off at the end of the 2x's I tried to wear them. Actually caused pain to my feet that lasted through the night. Really tried to believe they were real and it was just not my style but then found differences in the models I was sent and the model on the VIbram site. Shame you you Amazon and Brick Oven I no longer trust you.

But not great on wet surfaces. Got these to do a waterfall hike. They were great on the hike. Not so much on the rocks where I kept slipping.

These are my first pair of Vibrams Fivefingers. I received them from Fusion Apparel. And I am very smitten! Once I ordered them I began doing the foot training exercises that are listed on the Vibrams website. I'm assuming that helped my transition when I wore them today. They are so much more comfortable than my sneakers which started to hurt my feet after I began the exercises. I was a little sad to take them off.

Needless to say I'm already planning on my next pair. I really think they should make a new pair that is insulated for the winter months because I honestly don't want to think about going back to normal footwear.

My only complaint is that my right foot tends to swell and is usually larger than the left. Since these are styled like sandals there are slits in the side. Occasionally the sides of my foot would be pinched. However this is something the company couldn't help. Once the swelling went down though it was smooth sailing.

I also noticed that someone said they received a pair of fakes. I only saw that after I ordered mine and it made me worried. Fortunately I have the real deal and saved a few dollars too; Amazon is usually great for that.

I get asked about my shoes wherever I go! I recommend them to everyone. I had horrible foot pain for years. I got $500 orthotics thinking that would fix the problem, it only made my feet hurt in a different place! I now have 4 Vibram shoes. They are all I have worn for 2 years. NO more foot, knee, or calf pain!!!

Prior to soccer season we went looking for some new soccer shoes for my daughter. The local sporting goods store didnt have any 1.5M in stock. So we ordered some online from the store after she picked out what she liked. After receiving the shoes we had to return them because they would not fit. My daughter has a wide foot. I ordered these with hopes they would fit for the upcoming soccer season. The shoes are a perfect fit. The shoes seem to be well made. As a coach, I know keeping shoes tied can be a real problem at game time but these have a velcro lace saver to help keep them tied while wearing them. Great shoes at a great price I would highly recommend them.

I bought a size 4 for my 7yo daughter, who is in a snug 3 and growing. As a former player, I would have chosen a softer leather in a smaller size (so it conforms to the foot better), but at this price, I assumed the leather would be a little stiff. I was right.

For the price, I think it is a good soccer boot. The cleats aren't too high for dry fields, but should provide decent traction on rainy days. The spacing of the cleats is decent if you want one shoe to cover all field conditions (too few can cause pressure on dryer fields and will eventually cause injury).

Basically, I would recommend this boot. It is for children and let's face it, they spend half the game running around in circles ;) Even the most competitive of children will be able to function in this shoe until about the high school level.

My 5 year old son wears these to his soccer practice and games. I purchased these in his current shoe size. My only advice is that the fit is snug when the soccer socks are on (the soccer socks then to be thick); if your child will be wearing the shoes for more than a couple months I would recommend trying a half size larger. Good thing soccer season is relatively short, otherwise, I think my son would quickly find these shoes too tight.

Honest reviews on Diadora Forza MD Soccer Cleat (Little Kid/Big Kid)

Our son wears a size 7 for toddlers. Boy am I glad we went with a size 8! It fits just right, not too big, not too loose. Keep in mind when ordering cleats they should have a snug (not tight) fit.

VERY happy with these shoes. We were looking for soccer shoes last minute, these weren't our first choice, but went with them and I am so glad we did. My 6 year old daughter loves them. I ordered a whole size bigger than her typical tennis shoe (I was aprehensive about ordering online without her trying them on), and I am grateful I did. I think they run about 1/2 size smaller than typical. They are good quality, comfortable, and super cute. They look so much nicer in person than the picture. I only put 4 stars out of 5 because of the 1/2 size off.

The product is exactly as shown, very good quality and design, don't expect a soft sole as this kind of shoes used to be harder than average. We were surprised because of the size, ussualy using 10.5 in other brands, maybe an 11 will fit better on this product.

Okay, I bought these slippers after my old Ugg ones (that I'd had for maybe 4 years) had totally worn out. I did love my Ugg ones but when I saw that these were, you know, SEVENTY dollars cheaper, I figured they were worth a shot. And I'm glad I took the chance!! They are just as warm and comfortable as my old expensive slippers. The people who have complained about them not covering enough of the foot, well, that's just this style. If you want something to cover the whole foot these are obviously not for you. Sometimes I have to wear them with socks when it's really cold to keep my ankles warm but that's okay in my book. The soles are nice because you can wear them outside (not extensively, but to take the trash out or something). Also, I ordered a whole size down and they fit great. Tight at first but loosened right up. Great slipper for a great price!

When I first tried on the EMU Australia Women's Jolie Slipper, I thought it was a bit tight (especially after wearing my very stretched old slippers). I had bought them in my normal shoe size although I planned to wear these slippers with gym socks. But I'm very glad I did not get a larger size because within no more than two days, the slippers fit perfectly even with my gym socks on. They had stretched and adjusted to the contours of my feet and now felt very comfortable: a larger size would have become too big and loose. These slippers have kept my feet warm and cozy in an apartment which gets a lot of cold air drafts coming in from various places along the floor. The slippers are quality workmanship: well made with thick rubber soles, tan sheepskin suede upper and thick wooley interior. Extremely happy with my purchase.

This is a very lovely and well-made slipper. Super soft and comfortable. These scuffs keep your feet warm and dry (if your feet sweat like mine do). Ordered a 1/2 size down. Ex: I wear a 7 1/2 and ordered a 7 and the fit was perfect. The only thing I don't like about the slipper is that it does not cover as much of my foot as I want; it only comes to about mid-foot leaving the rest exposed. My feet stay warmer than I believed possible but I wanted more coverage.

Honest reviews on EMU Australia Women's Jolie Slip-On

After a lot of shopping around, I purchased these EMU Jolie slippers in the chestnut color. I absolutely LOVE them! I keep them at the back door, and as soon as I get home, I take off my shoes/boots and slip into these. Oh my....they are soft, cushy, supportive, warm, and comfortable all rolled into one. I worried they would be hot and make my feet sweat. No problem there. My feet stay a comfortable temperature and are totally caressed. I did hesitate as I had never paid this much for a house slipper...but I am so-o glad I did. Take it from me, I totally endorse these! I normally wear 8 1/2 in shoes, but I purchased the 8 in these and they fit perfect. I wish I could wear them all day long!!!

I am a picky shopper honestly. I will return any products with any problem. But for this EMU slippers I have to say it's so perfect. I bought Bearpaw Loki 2 from their website as a comparison and the Bear absolutely CAN'T defeat Emu. The foot bed is soooo soft and thick! You can't even feel the outsole cuz there is a thick layer of fur. And of course it keeps feet warm because of lots of thick and dense fur inside. I am Size 8 (EUR 38) and i bought size 7. It fits perfectly. The only issue is it doesn't cover too much. But i knew it before purchasing. I will highly recommend this item especially it's on sale. Will buy it again. Love EMU!

Like the spikes. Work as described. Got fooled by the sizing chart and ordered a size too large, based on using with my snow boots. Order for your exact shoe size or smaller.

I am an active hiker, and hike leader for outdoors organizations and I have owned the three major products for winter traction: Yaktrax, Stabilicers, and Microspikes. It seems that many people turn up on hikes with Yaktrax more than any other product because it seems to be more prominently displayed at stores that sell outdoors equipment. I recommend the Yaktrax if you have an occasional need for low-cost traction, such as walking down an icy driveway to get your mail. Yaktrax are poorly designed; basically it's a giant rubber band with a coiled spring around it. They slide around on your boot and I have seen people have theirs peel off in snow and not even realize it. I had one of the rubber bands snap after not that much use, rendering the product useless. People who bought Yaktrax Pro with the strap seem to have better luck. The rubber is more robust and the strap keeps the Yaktrax from sliding around or sliding off. I also own Stabilicers (the version with the strap over the boot) and have mixed feelings about them. Stabil-Icers have steel screws on the bottom, which provide amazing traction, far better than the Yaktrax, but I have wear issues with them as well. My Stabilicers lose screws on a regular basis, which is a safety hazard because you think you have traction, but you really don't. When I contacted Stabilicer about the issue, their response was, "Maybe it's time for a new pair." Mine did not have that much use on them, so that answer was unacceptable. I tried various glues to keep the screws in place, but none worked. The other disadvantage of Stabilicers (in the model that I have) is that they are heavy to carry in a pack when you don't really need them. Instead, I now use my Microspikes, which have excellent traction, and have worn well so far, but I do have concerns about the durability of the rubber where it holds the metal spikes. Microspikes are light, so they are easily carried in a backpack when you don't need them, but might encounter conditions on the trail where you do need them. With any of these traction devices, don't be put off by the cost. It's about the same price as a health insurance deductible for a trip to the emergency room!

Best Deals on Kahtoola MICROspikes Traction System

I run on snowshoes, yaktrax and now Kahtoolas. While the Kahtoola microspikes are well made, easy to use and durable, they have a possibly fatal flaw. There is a significant and I feel dangerous hole in spike coverage in the center of the back of the heel.

The first time I ran with them, all was well because there was a some fresh snow. But when I was running on icy surfaces (which these were designed for given the huge spikes), I was motoring along in blissful ignorance until I headed downhill heel-first. My leg shot out from under me since no metal came in contact with the ice. It scared me to death!

If you look at the pic here, you will easily see the dangerous hole in coverage.

To avoid slipping, I had to run downhill landing either flatfooted or on my toes to make sure I stick to the ground. Frightening.

I plan on modifying my kahtoolas with an extra wire pulling the chains closer together base of the heel like what was done at the toe.

I cannot believe that this hole in coverage was not addressed earlier. Unless of course, the primary users/designers don't really run on icy mountains but rather on flat crusty trails. Yet, given the huge spikes and aggressive appearance, it's too bad that the heel is so unprotected given that almost every step downhill lands on or near the heel. Oh, but uphill, these things scream.

But looking at the picture of the spikes while I write this, I wonder if I put them on backwards it would help since the extra wire connector at the toe was likely a fix from lack of coverage on that end of the shoe.

Honest reviews on Kahtoola MICROspikes Traction System

These are a great addition for hiking in the winter. They hold up much better than the Yaks when it comes to hiking and running. I've been through two pairs of those because they break with heavy use. These are very easy to put on and give you great traction on ice and snow. I like to trail run and they work fine. Because they are much more aggressive in traction they aren't forgiving when you plant your foot. In other words your footing sticks and does not give at all. So, you do have to be careful and pick up your feet when walking. They aren't forgiving if you drag your feet at all. These wouldn't be my pick for regular walking around in light snow and ice because they would be over kill. The Yaks would still be my choice for taking the dog for a walk in the neighborhood, etc. Although you can run in these I tend to feel them more than the Yaks. They hurt a little bit vs. the Yaks don't when you run. But, I'd rather have these if I am hiking up a mountain trail in ice and snow. The price is pretty much the same everywhere, so that isn't an issue here. I havn't had any problems with them coming off. They have stayed on well for me so far.

A good purchase I think.

Easy to put on,easy to take off. Put them in your pocket. Forget about Yaktrax unless you are OK with broken springs. Kahtoolas are durable and they work like they should. You can walk on broken ground with them and the spikes hold up fine. Plus, I like the fashionable red color. Every gearhead hiker I know has these in their pack in the winter and wouldn't go anywhere without them. Mark these "Essential".

First thing I noticed when putting on these shoes was a bump in the middle-bottom side of my foot; it's a design to nudge or roll you onto your fore/mid-foot. It almost feels like it has a negative heel (it doesn't), but in spite of this the shoe is very comfortable. The shoe is low to the ground, light weight, and so far durable, so it seems these shoes are great for guiding someone into better running form and technique.

If you've already owned a pair of transition shoes, these may not feel minimalistic enough for you. These are great replacements for the Nike Free v5 that I ran my last marathon in, however these don't come close to the barefoot feel of the NB Minimus trail, or Fivefingers.

For crossfitters and anyone that cares out there, these shoes nudge you forward, even when trying to shift weight back onto your heels. These shoes are not intended for any kind of technical weightlifting. I'm pretty sure this is obvious to most people, but I got away with my Nike Frees during crossfit excercises; these shoes are more specialized than the frees in relation to running, which makes them not so great for other excercises, or at least in regards to weightlifting.

I've worn them for almost two weeks now, and plan to put them through their second 10k tomorrow. These are great running shoes, especially for those looking to transition into minimal running, but don't plan on breaking them in during non-running excercises. If I could afford it, I would have bought two pairs.

User: mid-range (half-marathons) male runner in his 40s. 175 lbs x 6'0". No experience in minimalist running, but plenty of training/PT focus on good form, stride and mid-sole striking.

Use: I took them out for the first time today on an 8 mile run just to get the feel. The surface was almost entirely asphalt with little or no camber.

Pros:

* feel the road and enforce good foot position

* light-weight

Cons: I don't have complaints about the shoe, per se, but did encounter a few problems that might be shoe related:

* chafing on one heel. I wear pretty low profile socks and the left one slide down enough that the shoe was rubbing directly against the skin on my achilles tendon, leading to a bit of rawness and bleeding. Easily solved, but not something that's ever been a problem for me with other shoes.

* slight tweaking in my right outside knee. My guess is that this is due more to my lapsing in PT exercises on weak abductor muscles. Since these shoes make it so unpleasant to have bad form, they do highlight other places where you might be compensating. (In my case the IT band, which has historically been a problem for me.) Time to get back to those clamshell exercises...

* The red die on in the inside of the tongue bled a bit and my socks picked up some of the red color. Doesn't bother me (and won't go on very long, I assume), but might bother some.

Net/net, these are great shoes to help constantly remind you just where to come down on your feet, because you'll really feel it if you heel strike. I've never tried full-on barefoot shoes, but based on comments in other reviews, these are a nice half-way point to start getting into it. My legs could definitely tell the difference of having less weight to drag around, so that was a cool sensation. I like to mix things up in order to avoid getting into a rut --different shoes, different surfaces, different workouts. These will make a great addition to the rotation.

One sizing comment: I find that New Balance normally runs slightly small for me. In most brands, my shoe size is a 10, but for most New Balance shoes I buy a 10.5. This was not true in the Minimus --a size 10 is a perfect fit. So if you are used to shifting sizes for New Balance, you might want to skip that for these.

I've been running with these for about 6 months now. After a brief transitional period from my old 5 finger shoes I am quite pleased with them. For people like me who run mostly on pavement they provide adequate protection for your feet but still allow you to get some feel for the ground. I'm looking at buying another pair for when the ones I have get too worn out.

Honest reviews on New Balance Men's MR10 Minimus Running Shoe

A bit about me >

5'9", 165-170 lbs, mid-foot striker but will occasionally heel strike or drag the heel when I get lazy or tired on longer runs (13+ miles). Except when training for events usually run 4 days a week (3@5-8miles and 1@8+miles). Mainly participate in road running and road cycling for enjoyment.

A bit about the use of the shoes >

The shoes have been on the road for 18 months and over 600 miles on the soles. I had to nurse an injury not related to the shoes after the 3 month mark that kept me from running for just over 9 months. So you could say that the shoes have been used for 9 months of running. I shared the 18 months, because I know that some people are proponents or replacing running shoes based on time as well as mileage. About 50% of the miles have been on asphalt, 45% on concrete and 5% on light trail/grass. Shoes are always kept indoors but I do run in all conditions. I take my shoes with me on vacations and work trips. Most of the mileage is in Central Florida, there is a bunch all over the US.

Overall >

Overall these shoes have held up extremely well for such a lightweight shoe. The fit was perfect for my foot. The wide toe box allowed for my toes to splay out during my stride. My foot always felt cradled by the shoe. I did not try to use these shoes without socks. The transition from 12mm to 4mm was relatively easy for me. I usually can be found walking around the house/yard in bare feet and I spend a few hours on my road bike every week. Keeping your shoes flat during the pedal stroke promotes good power transfer and helps to keep your Achilles nice and long. I still broke them in over the course of 3 weeks and gradually increased the distance up to my norm. This is one of the first pairs of shoes that I really want to buy again, but I may not buy them again because of the primary weakness. I want to visit my local running store to take a closer look and test drive the New Balance MR00 and the Brooks Pure Drift before I pull the trigger on my next pair

Strengths >

I am pretty impressed with the grip on the road surface in all conditions. I have only had a few situations where the shoe lost grip (wet grass) and I felt out of control. After the initial tread patterns wore off of the main portion of the sole and the heal portion (approx. 200 miles) the material kept its grip up in wet, freezing and dry conditions. You do need to keep in mind these are road shoes, not trail shoes. There is probably still another 200 miles of surface left on these shoes.

The shoes are still holding up very well. There are a few busted stiches and the eyelets are more of permanent ovals at this point, but no rips or tears that I typically have on my shoes with this number of miles. I did not spend much time with these off-road so that may be a contributing factor. The one thing is you will want to capture the size and width before you wear the shoes. One or two runs and the ink is gone leaving a nice white patch inside of the shoes.

These shoes dry very quickly. If the roads are wet, your feet are going to get wet. The great thing is that the shoes dry very quickly. Even in heavy rain, I did not feel the typical slosh of wet shoes. After many runs my shoes would be dry within an hour or so. None of that fill them with newspaper to dry.

Not only does the construction allow the shoe to dry quickly it keeps your feet cool and well ventilated. This is perfect for those hot summer runs on the black asphalt of Florida. The minimal padding really transfers the temperature of the roadway to your feet quickly. As a side note, when it is really cold out, you do need to choose the appropriate socks to keep your feet warm; these shoes are not going to block much of that biting wind.

The cushioning was just right for the shoe. I realize that a true minimal runner may feel this shoe is too much, it was great for me. After my knee injury, I had packed the weight on to over 195 pounds and the shoe handled it well. I usually replace shoes when the sole is used up, but these are going to be retired because the cushioning has about had it as has the Achilles cut out area. Nothing catastrophic, but enough that I notice it.

These shoes travel really well. You can really slam them into any spot in your bag and they are ready for your run when you get to the hotel. I never felt that the heel cup and support was going to deform from being crushed in a carry on.

Weaknesses >

The primary weakness of these shoes is the styling. I understand and appreciate the work that went into developing these shoes, but they clearly missed on color choices. I am not a fashionista and usually could care less, but New Balance really struck out here. I have the white with blue, but what is up with the current choices of blue with green and black with silver. Bottom line is when you have a high performance running shoe that already looks like it came out of the 1970's don't call it out with bold colors.

The laces are a bit too long for these shoes after they break in. You have to double knot these to keep the laces from dragging on the ground and if you don't tuck them somewhere they slap the upper as you run. I actually thought my knee was cracking as I ran. It was not until I took my shoes off and ran a bit that I realized that it was the laces. I don't even notice it anymore, but it did take some time.

When you catch a rock between the treads you know it. While this is a risk of any minimalist or sub-minimalist shoe, the spacing and the depth of the tread captures and holds rocks. I would have liked to see large gaps in the treads to let some of that go. Sucks to have to stop to pull out pea sized rocks that will not fall out of the tread.

This shoe is excellent lightweight, yet supportive and confortable, running shoe.

Specifically:

-The slightly U-shaped outerand mid-sole provide sufficient support without adding unnecessary weight.

-The U-shape also stimulates a midfoot landing, making this shoe specially adequate for those wanting to transition from a heel landing.

-The inner lining is very confortable. I wear this shoe sockless for all types of runs(long, tempo, intervals...), and I haven't gotten any blisters or any other shoe-related pains.

-The toe box is very spacious (or conversely, the heel pocket is narrow). Personally, I like this feature because unlike your heel, your toes tend to spread during your strike. Thus the extra space at the front of the shoe is in line with what naturally happens during the stride.

-The aesthetic design of the shoe is very appealing. It rarely goes unnoticed.

-The only reason I didn't give this shoe 5 stars is sweat management. The uppor sole is just a little too dense, and doesn't breathe as well as it could. I train in hot and humid weather, and I can feel the sweat starting to accumulate inside the shoe after about an hour of training. If it rains, forget about it...

One additional note. Although this shoe is classified as a lightweight shoe (and it is one), it is not the lightest one out there. This isn't a good or a bad thing. It just depends on what you want the shoe to do for you. For example, if you have a perfect stride and are looking for your best 5k time, you're better off with a lighter racing flat. If you have a good stride, but want a little extra support for your training runs, then this shoe makes perfect sense.

Since being able to switch to Zoot, I have been happy with their products. I prefer the shoes without laces, but these aren't bad and the lacing is off center, so comfortable. I am too lazy to do a break in period. Went out and ran 5 miles, no issue. I wear socks, but they aren't necessary.

There is not much suppost in these shoes. I had another pair just like this and they were great. I got shin splits and the arch in my foot ached every time I wore them. Won't buy these again. Not worth the money!

I typically wear a US women's size 9 sometimes 8&1/2, so ordered the size 39. Even with just a pair of stockings it was way to snug to wear. Will return for a larger size (41).

Great, comfortable shoes! Soft soles make them comfortable for riding, less performance-oriented, but if you get off the bike (for coffee?) you'll be glad these are on your feet. I went from the old-style "board-under-your-feet" shoes, and couldn't be happier. Warning: They run VERY small! Order at least one, if not two, sizes larger than normal.

I wear Pearlizumi shows and needed a mountain bike style shoe . I ordered the exact same size that I wear in a road shoe.Ordering was easy and the shoes came quickly ...However, they were more than size too small...I had to return them .

I apparently need to try on shoes before I buy, so I doubt I'll order shoes on line any more .The only way to be more certain about correct size is to some how measure your foot ,or have a self outline of your foot to be able to compare that with the size chart...I haven't bought a shoe yet-I'm using shoe covers-they work!

I have had my shoes for a while now, and love the fit and feel. The only thing I found weird was the smell of them.

I originally thought the smell came from the dirt near where I typically ride. (It's a along the bay and near salt flats and is really stinky at certain times of the year) After cleaning them, I noticed they still smelled weird and if left in my car stunk it up! I still chalked it up to getting muddy in the hills. Just this past weekend, I was in REI and came across the newer version of these. I am not sure why I did it, but I smelled them and they stink too! I have no idea what the materials are, but whooh! SO...great shoe for the riding I do, just have to keep them in a ventilated area!

"If you have to invest in something for your feet, you should invest in a good pair of comfortable shoes and a right set of arch supports if you have high-arch feet," said my podiatrist. Thus, I totally agreed with him! For a long time, I never understand why I always had bad back, foot, and heel pains... I always bought the good looking or bargain price shoes that didn't fit my feet, and they were hurting my whole body! I always thought that those things were common problems and that I should just "suck it up" and be a man about it. However, I was wrong and ignorant until I met a good person who happens to be an podiatrist.

He helps me choose a right set of shoes that were my right size and I do have wide feet. Oh gosh, those new set of shoes were heaven sent. Nevertheless, he also recommends that I get the proper arch-support insoles! He tells me that he can charges rich or good insurance patients who want to do custom-made insoles, but always recommend Spenco to his friends and those who cannot afford the pricey package. At first I laughed at the idea, but after wearing the Spenco arch-support insoles, I can stand and walk around all day without feeling tired or aching on the ball / bottom of my feet.

I've tried Dr. Scholl's and other brands but they only give some basic relief. Spenco, on the other hand, give enough pressure relief with their tough design. Trust me, you don't have to buy expensive or good looking shoes and custom-made insoles to have healthy feet, just the proper support for your foot type and mine is Spenco. I buy two sets for each of my daily-usage shoes, and I will not go anywhere without them. Forget Dr. Scholl's or anything else, Spenco supports the right spot(s) with the right pressure relief(s), thus making it worth your money in the long run (especially if you know how to shop around and get a good price on Amazon). Lastly, just remember that this model is for bigger, properly-sized, and/or comfortable shoes; if you have tighter or smaller pair of dress shoes, you might want to buy the thin insoles from them.

An orthopedist recommended Spenco Rx Orthotics to me several years ago when I thought I had plantar fasciitis, and I have been using them regularly since then. (To save money, I would move them from one shoe to another, and bought the recent pair to have the luxury of avoiding that task. The original pair are still fine.) I do not have flat feet, but the firm support that the Spenco arches provide has many positive effects. First, my feet do not hurt, and I can walk long distances. Second, my knees no longer hurt, and I was having great difficulty walking up stairs. Your knees are affected by the way in which your feet touch the ground, and the Spenco arch has made all the difference without any other changes (for example, no knee brace or surgery). Yes, they are more expensive than drugstore arch supports (though the Amazon price was far lower than any other, including eBay). But do yourself a favor and buy the Spenco Rx Orthotics. (P.S. I don't work for Spenco or their advertisers, and I rarely praise a product with so much enthusiasm.)

I am a 59 year-old male. I didn't read all the reviews here, but many are from people with HIGH arches. I have LOW ("fallen") arches, and these supports are just great. Some folks have said they need bigger (higher) shoes, and yes, that might be necessary for some. In my case, there's room in my shoes to accommodate the supports of course I removed the original insoles.

When first putting the shoes on after inserting the supports, I felt the arch "bump", but it's such a big help and not a bother. In fact, it feels a bit like a massage like someone massaging my arches with their thumbs when I walk; not an uncomfortable feeling at all.

I don't have a normally bad back everyone has some back pain sometimes, I bet and I started with very comfortable shoes in the first place. But I can tell you that for me, my feet and back feel better and I can wear my shoes longer without discomfort than before.

I have also used these supports with my dress shoes, which are definitely less comfortable then my casual shoes, and they are a HUGE help there as well.

Good work, Spenco!

Place Arch Supports in Hot Water and follow directions. Dry with towel and use towel to bend. Don't touch hot surfaces without s towel and lifting instrument. You may have to return the Arch Supports to hot water and repeat.

Then thoroughly dry. Trim carefully with scissors and use a shoe imprint as a guide.

My podiatrist requested I use these Inserts. He instructed me to soak them for 3 minutes in boiling water, squeeze out the water as much as possible, and wear for 25 minutes first day, then dry them and increase wear 1 additional hour each day. They work great and feel great. I received them within 24 hours after ordering!
