I have faithfully purchased ASICS products for 10 years but I am very disappointed in these shoes. I've never had trouble with my ankles, knees, or hips while running, but after just two runs in the GEL-Fluent I was sore throughout my joints. I run about 15 miles per week and do 2-3 half marathons per year, and have never had problems until I started wearing these. These are fine if you merely intend to walk in them.

Disappointed. My first run in these shoes was about 6 miles and my legs were shot. This shoe has very little forefoot cushioning which I had never had a problem with other ASICS running shoes or any other quality running shoe.

I wish I could review the shoes, I was very excited to get them, but... they NEVER came. I ordered the shoes over a month and a half ago and never got them or any word from the seller about a possible delay in shipping. Now, I will say that I am currently deployed overseas on a ship, HOWEVER, the longest an item usually takes to get here is three weeks, max. I have ordered plenty of things a week or so after I ordered these shoes,and everything else has already arrived... yet I'm still waiting on the shoes. We ordered these for my son who is running for his high school cross country team. He orginally bought the same show in the XC-3 edition locally and one of the spike cases broke from using a spike that was too long and running across several side walks. He could not get another shoe locally in the correct size before the race & we were able to order off Amazon faster than the store! Having recently had my knee scoped and seeing a physical therapist, I was referred to a store that fits supportive shoes to your particular walking/running style. This shoe was recommended to me (pronator) and I am very impressed. I usually wear an 8-8 1/2 shoe, 9 -9 1/2 in running shoes, but this one was fitted to me in a 10 D! (They do run small.) I can wear any sock with it and even have orthotics placed in them. Very supportive and very comfortable. My therapist was very impressed with the last they had and even took them around to show them to the other therapists. A great shoe that I will definitely buy again.

This is my third pair of Brooks Addiction shoes and I will never buy anything else. They give great support to my ankles and make me stand straighter. I walk 3 miles every morning and my feet never hurt.

I am a pronator but was running significant mileage at the time and needed a shoe that could handle my being a larger runner with very large feet and stand up to the 20 or more miles I was running a week. These are hands down the best shoes for people who need support and come in a variety of sizes. I obviously am a loyal Brooks buyer, This version fits a bit smaller, I noticed, I am ready to transition into a 12 from and 11.5 but otherwise mostly unchanged. Love it!

I went to a runners store to buy shoes because I was experiencing pain with a bunion while trying to exercise. I do not run. I first tried a New Balance shoe that I returned because my foot just moved around in it too much (I tried several inserts and a variety of lacing techniques.) I gave up and tried this shoe after reading reviews of Addition 7. Well...Problem solved...what a comfortable shoe. They have even washed very nicely. The mesh keeps my feet cool and I am able to tie the shoe to hold my heels and arches in place while leaving my toes and the balls of my feet free in the shoe.

Superfeet Copper DMP Premium Insoles Reviews

I have feet that were born to hurt. I'm 6'5" and much of my life (though not now) I have been overweight. To make matters worse, although I wear size 13-14 shoes, I have a very light bone structure and a high arch. This is a recipe for plantar fasciitis, which I have "enjoyed" for more than twenty years. In that time, I have tried custom hard-plastic orthotics from a couple of podiatrists. Without exception, they were horribly uncomfortable and the slow, patient adaptation process recommended by the prescribers did not help me tolerate them. I then went the other way, to ultra-soft Dr. Scholl's silicone inserts that felt great in the morning but provided no support as the day wore on. My next attempt was heat-molded insoles from Sole. I found that those didn't really mold well to my feet despite my meticulous attention to the instructions. Further, they were seriously stiff in the midfoot and, at least for my feet, the arch support was too far forward. Not as uncomfortable as the hard plastic orthotics but still no improvement over plain shoes.

I was at the point of giving up when a shoe salesman suggested that I try the Superfeet footbeds. I selected the Copper model and they arrived promptly. I removed the thin foam rubber liners in my shoes and used them as templates to cut the Superfeet to size. If you do this, you need to know that the forefoot of the Superfeet insert is made of some very tough stuff. You're going to need heavy kitchen or shop shears to cut them. Attempting the trimming process with ordinary household scissors will leave you with sore hands and sprung blades.

Having cut them to size, I slipped them into my shoes, laced up, and walked tentatively around the room. OK, let me cut to the chase. They felt great. The insole is quite firm in the midfoot but, unlike the model from Sole, the arch is far enough back so that it gives me real support instead of making me feel like I have a big, smooth rock in my shoe. I had no break-in period at all; I just put them in and walked away.

To summarize: The Superfeet copper footbeds appear to be well made of durable materials. They are quite thin in the forefoot and I have not noticed that they have molded to my feet, as advertised. There is little room for molding when the footbed is at most 3/16" thick under the metatarsal fat pad and toes. The heel cup is deep and improves stability for my relatively week ankles. For me, they required no break-in; they were comfortable from the first moment. My plantar fasciitis, while not completely gone, is much better and I no longer feel like my feet have been beaten up after a five mile walk.

But note: Feet are all different. I am enthusiastically positive about the Superfeet Copper footbeds. However, I have not compared them to every competitor out there, nor have I tried the less expensive models in the Superfeet range. In particular, I have not tried the store-molded custom inserts that one can purchase at ski shops and outfitters. Further, no footbed will help if the shoes in which they are worn are not properly and sturdily made and accurately fitted. I encourage you to try a variety of footbeds/inserts/insoles in your shoes before making a purchase decision.

An ex-football player past his prime (6'3", 360 lbs, size 13D, medium arch), I was recently diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. My orthopod recommended daily stretching exercises and Orthoheel slippers to wear indoors (no more walking around in socks). What a difference! The slippers and exercises lessened my symptoms from the start and, over time, eliminated most of my discomfort, so I decided to find some orthotic inserts to improve my street shoes.

So far, I've tested:

1. Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Extra Support

2. Aetrex Copper Medium Arch

3. Spenco Polysorb Total Support

4. Superfeet Copper DMP

5. Powerstep Pinnacle

each for two hours' total walking time over a few days in two pairs of my favorite shoes: New Balance 606 hikers and Cole Haan loafers with Nike Air.

I was naturally curious about Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Extra Support, advertised for big & tall men. They didn't do much for me. While the extra cushioning helped at first, it helped less and less the longer I walked on them. I mentioned this to my orthopod and he told me the key to managing PF is not cushioning, it's support. Grade: D

Next I tried the Spenco Polysorb Total Support. Remembering my doc's advice, I chose these for the rigid heel cup and arch support. Though quite comfortable overall, the arch support was a bit too low for my medium-high arches and the heel cup was insufficient support for weight. While they worked reasonably well for me, I believe they would a be better choice for lighter individuals with lower arches. Grade: B

I chose Aetrex Copper Medium Arch to get better arch support. After wearing these in both pairs of shoes for a while, I could hardly tell a difference from the Spenco insoles. Eventually, I popped one of the insoles out and swapped it for the Spenco and walked around the block. Only by walking on one of each could I tell them apart. I found the Spenco offered a little better support for the midand fore-parts of my foot while the Aetrex offered a little better support for my arch. Grade: B

Coincidentally, I was in an Allen Edmonds store and noticed Superfeet insoles. I asked the clerk about them and she raved how many men my size have good success with them. I tried the Orange and the Copper DMP versions in the store. Finding the Orange too high for my arches, I later ordered a pair of the Superfeet Copper DMP. These are easily the most rigid of the insoles I've tried...and easily the best. Superfeet arch support sits farther back on the insole than other brands. This made a real difference in the support I felt walking long distances. I also found the medial post support in the heel did a better job than other insoles in combatting overpronation. Grade: A

Most recently, I tried the Powerstep Pinnacle insole. While it seems well-made and offered good support, it simply did not work for me. The gel-based arch support sits too far forward and in the middle of the insole. The insoles felt like I had lumps of soft clay underfoot. After a few blocks of brisk walking, my feet began to fatigue as if I were walking barefoot in sand. Again, these may work for some people but they didn't for me. Grade: C

After almost three years of issues with both of my feet, torn tendon, fracture and neuroma in both feet and I am still young in my early 40's I was wearing the blue superfeet until today and was fitted for the new copper superfeet. So far wearing them for about 3 hours and what a difference. With the proper shoes that were fitted to my feet and the inserts in just one day pains in my knee and feet have gone away!!! Make sure you have the right size shoes or insoles don't work!

I have ridiculously high arches and always buy the green inserts, lest I find myself with a very stubborn case of plantar fasciitis. I recently decided to try these for something different and feel they are fairly comparable. The cushioning is nice and appreciated in my work boots, though the arch support doesn't seem as high as the greens. I also believe that these are sized slightly differently I purchased the same size as I always do in the green inserts, but these feel a tad shorter. These are working well in my work boots despite being a touch too short, though I will probably go back to the greens for my purposes once this set has worn out.

Review of K-Swiss Women's Tubes Run 100 A Running Shoe

I have always been a bit anxious when I buy a new brand of running shoes. About 7 years ago I had a store that specializes in running evaluate which type of shoe I needed and have been buying Asics GT series ever since, due to overpronation to provide stability. Don't get me wrong, I loved that shoe...except for the price every few months. I put ALOT of miles on my shoes, training for multiple races and half marathons.

Just recently I tried a Nike stability shoe for my last half marathon, and was pretty satisfied with the results. I just recently got on a Jillian Michaels kick to lose weight and become more fit, and as a result decided to try out these K-swiss shoes merely to work out in, which I absolutely LOVE them for working out! They are so comfy and lightweight!

Well, as luck would have it, I found myself without my running shoes this morning for a 5 mile distance run, and figured "what the heck?" and ran with these. This is the first time in years that I have run with NO PAIN afterward, in neither my feet nor my knees and hips. I am SOLD! For half the price, I get a lighter/more comfortable shoe, that provides a much better recovery.

I cannot wait to buy my next pair, the colors and styles are awesome!

I love how much 2-1/2" adds to my height. You really do need to either wear boots or high-top sneakers to utilize all 3-layers. However, 2-lays is definitely doable in regular shoes or sneakers. Big Bang for the Buck! A+++

I'm of average height and I like to wear casual style clothes, the only problem is that I'm in the army and all the guys wear cowboy boots or similar when we go out. Make sure you have shoes that have a high top on them. I use them in a pair of work boots that have an additional inch and a quarter in the heel, with these in that boot, I gain about four inches. They are fairly comfortable, I guess it is like walking on your tip toes. Your calves get a great workout.

Expanded:

+ When I pulled them out of the box, I was stunned at how thick the back of the soles were! The best word to describe them is MEATY! I tried them on first without doing the manufacturer-instructed thermo-moulding process to test fit, and the sizing seems spot-on for Men's US-7. They seemed a bit tight, but after some wear and a bit of frolicking in the ocean, they're perfect size.

+ The tread on the bottom is unorthodox, but the grip is for real-better than any other flip-flops I've seen or heard of by far.

+ The thermo-moulding process was simple, and you definitely have to thermo-mould them before you make any judgments on comfort, because they change shape significantly based on how you mould. Just follow the instructions to a tee. I used some foil to support them in the oven (just to ensure there weren't unsightly rack marks), heated them to 225 degrees F, pulled them out, immediately put them on (they weren't that hot), and stood on them for about 2 minutes. I then walked around a little to see how they felt. Here's where I noticed a bit of an issue.

I walk VERY hard on the heels. Just to illustrate, I wore through a pair of cheap Wally World flip-flops in a weekend, "wore through" being defined as "asphalt showing through". Because the thermo-moulding process is based on how you walk and that sort, the heels, where I place a lot of my weight (this is my problem and not any of the shoes') sank down, as designed. I bought these in an effort to find some that would last, and I am concerned this thinning may have reduced their service life. I will have to make sure I keep up with this review so I can provide my experience with the wear.

Furthermore, I believe, due to the initial before-break-in tightness, I might not have seated my feet completely into the flip-flops for the moulding process, so mine are a bit off-kilter. Lesson? Be ABSOLUTELY particular when you're moulding them. The process has a profound effect on comfort, and, as far as I can tell, you can only do the process once. After you do it right, though, they feel AMAZING.

I attempted to contact customer support to see if the thermo-mould process could be re-executed, but it's been a week, and they still haven't gotten back to me for it. Points off for that. If they come back with a response, it'll still be points off, but a lot fewer.

Overall, as long as you walk more normally than I do AND you're comfortable baking your brand-new $50 flip-flops, I STRONGLY recommend these guys. They're supremely comfortable and durable. Just make sure you do that moulding process right.

I have issues with my feet overpronation. Basically I have flat feet & they tend to turn inwards. I purchased a pair of orthaheels. Which they are awesome as well. Only issue with Orthaheels is break in period and straps streach after awhile. Also after break in period still can't wear orthaheel for long period of time. Not the case with these Montrail Lithia. They are awesome, no break in period. Same arch height as Orthaheel. But better comfort, and thong does not stretch out.

After baking in the oven (!), these molded to my feet and ar the most comfortable sandals/shoes I have eve worn. Great arch support, and soft cushion, even for a heavy guy. I used the suggested 200 degrees and three minutes baking, but they didn't quite mold. I went to 240 and 5 minutes, and they started to smell like really hot rubber, but they fit great!

I buy a new pair of Crocs flip flops each year. These are a bit narrower (in a good way) and a lot thicker (also in a good way) than any flip flop I've seen before from Crocs. The extra cushion in the heel is nice. What I especially like about these flip flops is the bottom sole. It has a 1980's retro tennis sneaker bottom which should give them great traction on wet surfaces. If your are a ½ size, order down to the next smallest whole size. Best Crocs flip flop ever!

I was desperately needing comfortable flip flops as the ones I was currently wearing were some thick rubber ones from Gap that were very uncomfortable after wearing them for just a few minutes and would make my feet hurt hours after taking them off. After reading all the good reviews on these I decided this is what I needed.

The fit was okay, they weren't too wide or too narrow they were just right. The bands that go over your feet were just too tight and started to really dig into foot. I thought maybe I needed a bigger size, but it wasn't the entire band that was tight/snug, it was just one spot that just kept digging in and rubbing me the wrong way (pun intended).

The another big annoyance was the poor tread on the bottom. I stepped in a tiny puddle of water (with just one foot) outside and that foot was then destined to slip. The next day I walked outside on damp ground to get the mail and eventually had to take them off and go barefoot, there was no traction at all.

They are/were much more comfortable than my old Gap flip flops, but that's only because of the contour. They are just as firm and hard as my old ones.

This just wasn't the pair of flip flops for ME. If these problems don't come up for anyone else I'm sure these will be absolutely perfect. I hate returning them because I loved the style/color of them, but function comes first when it comes to around-the-house flip flops for me.

I bought these mainly for the gym to and in the shower and to the pool area. For this, they're great. They slip on and off easily (no hands), don't absorb much water, so they dry super fast, and take up little room in my gym bag. Look good too, I think.

I'd never take these to the beach or anywhere I need to walk far, though, because the strap between my toes would probably hurt unbearably. It's just too hard and stiff and gets jammed up against the tissue between my toes.

Still, for my purposes, I'd buy them all over again.
