I love these shoes. I usually wear a 9, but these shoes run a bit small. I was hesitant to wear them much after ordering them online, because they were so narrow. After wearing them for about a week, they stretched out alot. I have had them for about 6 months. I wear them nearly every day. They are extremely comfortable. I've been impressed that the sole that wraps on the front of the shoe has yet to come unglued. Most shoes begin coming unglued after just a few months of continuous wear. Great shoe for comfortable walking/hiking.

I've been running ASICS since I began my running career. I've tested other brands at running group events but have stuck with what has been working for me. Amazon had this pair in stock even though it wasn't available at my local running store. After a few miles on my first run I forgot I had a new pair on. Keeping my focus on the run and away from my feet is ultimately the goal of the shoes. The reflective color is a nice addition for the many night-time runs I will be heading out for this fall. This purchase was a success.

This is my third pair of ASICS Gel-Nimbus shoes. These are awesome because they glow in the dark and are super reflective (great for night running!). The 15s also seem to be a good upgrade from the 14s. I've run about 20 miles in them and so far so good. Side note: the product photos are of the Gel-Cumulus, not the Nimbus. Just be aware of that error when buying. You will get the described product.

These shoes are well worth the price tag. My husband runs 4-10 miles a day and he swears by the nimbus shoes. He goes through a pair every 4 months and with other shoes they are shot in a month or he complains of hip pain. With these shoes there is no hip pain and they last a little longer than the lower price shoes. We buy nothing but Asics workout shoes in this family!

I use this flat as my regular running shoe and have over 400 miles on them so far, 60% trail, 40% road. With about 50% of the tread worn away, I figure I have another 400 miles to go. 800 miles on a pair of shoes is awesome! These are by far the longest lasting flats I've come across. Within 300 miles, other brands and styles either wear down to the spike threads or the side walls get holes. These show no signs of either happenning for a long time to come. These also fit better and I get fewer blisters. I plan to run the American River 50 mile endurance run with them, should be fine as I do most of my 20 mile runs with them. I just ordered another pair.

I'm a huge fan of the New Balance MT1010 (trail) version of this shoe, but the "lily pad" tread makes the MT1010 not so great on hard (road) surfaces. That's why I was so excited to buy this shoe (the New Balance M1010) they finally came out with my favorite shoe in a *road* version.

As for my review, let me state that I agree with all the other reviews before mine. I'll just re-iterate a few points:

Nice amount of cushioning (not too much, not too little). Very light weight. Barely qualifies as "minimus".

The tread is still just a bit bumpy for roads. I would have appreciated a smoother tread.

The fit is tighter that I expected, but probably spot-on. I normally wear wide (4E width) shoes but found that the MT1010 (trail) shoes fit me perfectly in normal width. This wasn't the case here with the M1010 (road). I need to go back to the wide width due to the extra padding. Instead of buying new shoes, I just wear them without socks and they fit and feel great. Very soft inside. No blisters or anything.

General warning to those unfamiliar with the "minimus" or "low drop" shoes: these shoes will teach/cause/help you to run similar to how you would run barefooted, landing on your forefoot more rather than your heels. In my opinion, this is great and how humans are intended to run. If you're not used to it, however, it does put more stain on your calf muscles and lower leg tendons so you need to build up your strength before running too hard. The benefit is that it reduces stress on other parts of your body (back, knees, hips) since you're not landing hard on your heels.

For the record, I am a fitness runner, running in the Pose method, I don't race, but I love to run. Having burned through 3 pair of NB Minimus shoes already and finding myself running on more pavement than trail lately and unfortunately, I thought I'd try a more built-up pair. I wore out 2 pairs of MO10's and 1 pair of MO20's, so I decided to try these M1010's. I wasn't quite used to the drop, even at 4mm, coming from the shoes I had worn before, but considering the conditions that I am running on now: gravely streets, concrete, paved trails, all cooked to 80-100F degrees, the slight midsole came as a welcome addition. Very light, and they still feel good and solid on the ground like a Minimus shoe should. Very little break-in required. I hope they continue to feel this way as I run in them throughout Summer.

These like most of the rest of NB's minimalist shoes run a touch narrower than their standard shoe. I think that's in part because they don't have a removable footbed, so forget any orthotics here.

That said, the shoe is solid. I have the old 610s and 630s both a step up from the Minimus's and both had more 'shoe' to them. The 610 had more structure, but less padding. The 630 was roomier and had more padding. The M1010 is right in the middle. Enough shoe so running on concrete feels like running dirt, but no hard footbed to shape your foot.

I'm usually a 8.5 2E, and that's the size I purchased. Like another reviewer, I previously had the MT1010 in the same size and they fit great. These road shoes, however, are just too narrow. The toe box is only slightly wider than normal width, and it's the arch area that is very narrow. If you have wide feet with flat arches, avoid these shoes. Wish these shoes fit, because they look great and seem to be well built. I'll probably give the M3090 a try

That being said, it should be no big surprise that different shoes, even between models by the same manufacturer, can vary in sizes. Buying shoes online is always a risky proposition, and ratings for shoes should not be low simply because they don't fit. If you want to ensure a perfect fit, don't buy shoes online unless you have tried them on in person first.

Discount Salomon Men's XT Wings 3 Trail Running Shoe

Really happy with this shoe. The cushioning is a bit better that the XT Wings 2, it feels more dense and there is more of it. The lacing system has plastic eyelets now, where as the 2 had some sort of a thin webbing type material that would get gunked up with dirt and sweat and then the laces wouldn't slide very well. For some reason, the Wings 3 feels a tad bit wider than the 2.

The lugs are more aggressive than the 2 and the upper feels a bit lighter and more breathable, with the exception of the toe box. The toe box is my only gripe, they put a heavy rubber cover of the toes, is too heavy. I don't know what this is supposed to help with. If I kick a large rock my toes will hurt from hitting both the rock AND the rubber toe cap, where as before they would only hurt from the rock. Seriously. The toe cap is overkill.

These run true to size. In fact, I think these should be the definition of a 14. Note, I am 6'4" 270lbs and I generally crush off road runners out in a few months, to the point where the cushioning is thin as a pancake. The XT Wings 2 have lasted for over a year of 12-15 miles/week off road. I have faith that the Wings 3 will perform similarly, given the few runs I have done in them thus far.

Only once before have I bought the same shoe twice in a row, and that was the Brooks Beast BEFORE they shipped their manufacture off the China (the Chinese Beasts are totally different from the American made Beasts). I have high standards for shoes ( I have to given my weight) so I think you will be pleased with them also.

We have been wearing Salomon shoes for as long as we can remember, Wings were my husbands favorite until the Wings 2 (softer, not as stable), which he didn't like, the Wings 3 are better then the original, same stability with improved foot bed.

I luckily guessed the right size based on some other name brand shoes I tried on at Brick and Mortar Stores. It fit really well and is very comfortable with one exception. I sometimes have issues with the shoe cutting into my outside ankle bone. These do. This is a personal issue. It only matters if you have had this problem with other shoes as I have. Other than that they are are of very good quality and look good enough to wear anywhere.

The shoe has zero arch support, but the liner is easily removed and the shoes accommodate my bulky, full-foot orthotics. Very comfortable on my wide, pronated feet. I like them so much that I have them in all colors: navy, grey, black, white, raspberry and neon blue. 4 stars because I did not like the bright white laces, so I replaced them all with matching laces (purchased on Amazon) and they look great. So cute sockless with crops and shorts. I bought "Cedarsole Inserts" (also on Amazon) that keep my feet dry and odor-free.

These shoes are very confortable and beautiful. I don't live in USA, and UA is not common here, so a lot of people noticed it.

However the sole is very thin and there is not much damping. The first time I used it for a run it fell funny... I had to get used to it. Now I am! But I use it only for distances up to 5k. Otherwise, my feet get a bit sore on the soles.
