I got these shoes based on an outstanding review by Tennis Magazine and past experience. These shoes fit true to size even with my custom orthotics and I thought they were magical BUT I play tennis about 3 times a week and the plastic mesh in the toe box covering is cracking and peeling up with less than three months of wear. The soles are still in great shape. These shoes are guaranteed 6 months by Asics but seem impossible to return on Amazon. I don't tend to keep shoe boxes around with the expectation I might need to return them! Beware of the return policy!

This is a great tennis shoe. I have a very narrow foot and the shoe is snug around my whole foot. There was a short break in period for me. I wear an orthotic insert so that is probably the reason for the slight break in time. Other players I know that have this shoe said they required no break in time. The shoe is as stable yet lighter than the prince T22 that I had been wearing. I am a 3.5-4.0 player and play 3-5 times a week. So far they seem to be very durable, but I have only had them about a month. I tended to stand more flat footed when wearing my T22's, and with this shoe I find it easier to be on the balls of my feet and stay there with out thinking about it constantly. Its also a fun color! I get lots of compliments on them.

5 month update, still love this shoe as do a couple of other player I play with. I have had no problem with the exterior of the shoe. Its still in great shape. I am playing approximately 4-5 hours a week. They were used inside and outside. I am getting ready to purchase another pair because the interior has lost its support. I typically replace my shoes every 5-6 months as advised by my orthopedist.

According to them its not the exterior of the shoe that causes knee problems its the breakdown of the interior. As long as I replace them regularly (makes no difference what brand I am wearing) and wear my orthotics, no more knee problems. I usually know its time to replace them when my feet and knees start to hurt. Which is whats going on now so I am replacing them with same shoe.

I would think that if you do not have a narrow foot that this shoe might be difficult to break in or even wear for some people.

I purchased these shoes because of their high review in Tennis Buyers Guide 2011, and was very disappointed as they made my feet tingle and cramp about 30 minutes after putting them on. The size was correct; adjusting the laces, wearing different socks, and using for a couple days did not help.

I read all the mixed reviews for these shoes and decided to order them anyway. I've had them for about 5 months now and they are holding up quite nicely. They are a great looking shoe (better than the Resolution 4 I think) and they are very stable on the court. It took quite a while to break them in, but once they did they provided great stability and a feeling of confidence on the court. They are great for changing direction quickly and they're very stylish. I wish ASICS would bring back this shoe.

Cheap Timberland Women's Ocean Park Lace Loafer

I got these for dog walking and various occasionally wet situations. I walk on rocky dirt paths and flipflops were not cutting it any more. I needed more sure footing and wanted my feet to feel more protected yet I HATE wearing closed shoes and even worse I hate wearing socks so these seemed like a great in between. If I wear regular sneakers w/o socks it seems like they get gross really fast. These are more open and my feet stay cool. They are easy to get on and off without loosening yet stay on my feet. I can feel seems and such when I put them on and I worried they would give me blisters but I have walked about 6-7 miles and no blisters yet. I have not gotten them soaking wet yet, hopefully they keep their shape. They feel true to size to me, maybe slightly large. I usually wear a 9 but sometimes prefer 9.5 and since I have another pair of timberlands that are 9.5 I tried that first but they were too big. I exchanged for a 9 and they were perfect but nowhere near tight and there is a lot of give in them so stick to the smaller end of your size. My feet are average width, I think wider feet might do ok but narrow ones probably not.

UpdateI have now put ALOT of wear in these and still love them. As they have softened up it is harder to keep the heal straps cinched down but even when they loosen it is not as though my feet are gonna slip out or anything, just not as snug as they were. I washed them in the washing machine and they did great. I have gotten them completely wet on the boat and they did fine. I believe they are being discontinued so I just got a second pair and they are awesome.

I purchased these shoes to wear when I take my Goldens swimming in the lake. I find them to be very comfortable, true to size and I can now walk in and around the rocky lake without slipping or damaging my feet. They are easy to slip on & off and while in the water rocks or small pebbles don't enter the shoes. I would not hesitate to purchase another pair.

The shoes were comfortable, lightweight, and dried quickly. We went cave tubing and had to walk upstream. The shoes provided adequate traction at best. They were great during the hike, but the best water shoe, they are not.

The shoes arrived earlier then projected which was great. I ordered them for my teenage son, had I been home at the time they arrived, I would have returrned them, but my son had already opened them and thrown out his old shoes.

The shoes are white but there is yellow staining on both shoes around the ankle/tops of the shoes. I don't know if it is glue or if they are used/returned and dirty. Either way, I found it to be unsatisfactory and would have returned them had my son not gotten to them first.

It seems like you have a choice most of the time between lightweight boots that offer little in the way of support, or big clunky boots that take a year to break in, and are never very comfortable.

This boot is the best of both worlds.

Excellent grip and foot stability, without feeling like you're wearing a cast. The lateral support is the amazing thing about Salomon boots and trail runners. Even with the laces loose, your foot won't rock.

Out of the box, I took these on a long hike, then two consecutive backpack trips, and there was no break-in time. After walking 60+ miles, they still look new. The waterproofing is adequate, and even on hot days, my feet were dry as a bone in the evening, which says something about the breath-ability. I am also impressed with the large toe-box. My toes were never compressed together, and there was plenty of room to flex.

Another plus is that these boots are true to size (depending on the manufacturer, I can wear a 7 to an 8. These are a perfect 7.5).

I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a lightweight boot that doesn't want to compromise on support.

I've been searching and I've found my boots. These are winners. They seem to be unisex boots: Rugged, well-built, and wide enough, thank goodness, for non-dainty feet and two pair of socks. No breaking in necessary. I wear them with gaiters and Superfeet insoles. I've no problems with dirt or tiny pebbles. No worries on a 30-mile backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. I didn't bring a second pair of shoes not even Crocs. I wore the boots until tent time, three days in a row, and felt fine. Crossed streams and mud covering the books. Kept dry. They've passed the test, and I'm a happy camper. Thanks, Salomon, for getting me through the trip; I'm looking forward to the next one. Also, I like the look of these. Black, and fairly sleek. Nevertheless, they've got the space and traction that even clunky boots advertised for winter use don't deliver.

The shoes seem great and comfortable, but I got the wrong size.

Careful allif you buy this shoe, the sizes go by US man and NOT US lady, as expected.

Finally got the appropriate size7.5 US39 EU. The shoes are extremely comfortable, just put them for the first timeI feel like I've been wearing them for years! Recommended!

(Alsovegan shoes, no leather. Awesome.)

These are the first Salomon footwear I've ever bought. I do a fair bit of tramping/hiking here in NZ and have always used heavy, full-leather Scarpas. Why stomp around with heavy boots on, with no cushioning if you don't have to? I'm a slow learner ;-)

These boots are fantastic. Light weight, sturdy, good flex in the forefoot so you can walk properly. Still stable enough to carry a pack or go off track through steep, uneven terrain. Pretty supportive despite low-cut ankle.

The sizing does run big, though. I use the EU measurements and got a size 40 (US 8). Perfect!

Salomon if you guys read these reviews, please don't stop making these boots!

Must say these boots were comfortable and perfect right outta the box! In terms of women's boots, they run slightly big so suggest going for the smaller size that you normally revert to (I take a 9 in a sandal and 9.5 in a closed-toed shoe but in these, I'm definitely a 9.) These Salomon Discovery GTX boots are sturdy and have a medium width so even narrow feet (like mine) can adapt using thicker socks. The best thing about the boots is they have a neat look about them, they're not clunky like many I have tried on and not a smaller size of the men's version. So ladies, if you want to be stylish, functional and comfy, highly recommend.

Best Saucony Women's Progrid Omni 10 Running Shoe Deals

I run 25-30 miles a week and have been wearing Saucony Progrid Omni's for nearly 4 years. I have been through several pairs of the 7, 8, and 9 series and replace them every 400 miles. Typically when I purchase a new pair, I slip them on for my first run and I feel like I'm running on a cloud! After breaking down my shoes for 400 miles, a new pair offers the cushioning and support that I love about this line. I purchased the 10's (I always buy the older model when a new model comes out they're cheaper!) when the price dropped and expected the same feel, or at least something very similar, as the shoes I've been wearing for so long. I was very disappointed. There is virtually no cushioning or arch support in this shoe. They feel a lot lighter than the older models, but I only care about lighter in a racing flat. I need a shoe that is soft AND supportive, and the Omni 10 is neither. I'm returning them today and going back to the Omni 9.

Previously I've used the Saucony Omni 8 and that was a great running shoe. This one is just as comfortable with a little more cushioning around the ankle. It's a very supportive shoe and fits orthodics without any difficulty. Having been told I'd never be able to run due to hip problems, these shoes have proven to be very supportive and comfortable when running. No complaints!!

I have had three pairs of Omnis over the last couple of years. I like the shoe for its support and comfort -it has definitely helped with my stress fractures. With that said, every pair I have owned has suffered from the same problem. The uppers, though very breathable, wear way too easily for the price I pay. My toe starts sticking out of the mesh within two months. For the $110-$120 I pay for these shoes, I really don't want to have to take needle and thread to them to sew them back together.

heck i use them as school shoes they are good running excellent traction with regular shoes u slip if were u walking threw is muddy but with this walking on wet mud or running in mud is like running on dry road

I truly believe Reebok got it right this time with the ATV 19+'s. I've been running since the 5th grade and I've always sworn by Nike products. However, I'm 51 now and recently had heart surgery. I thought I'd never run again. That is until I tried these shoes. I've gone from running only a mile and a half in Nike Free to running 5 miles a day in Reebok ATV 19+. With this shoe, I'm competing in 5K's every weekend and feeling twenty-five again. The stability is unbelievable and they seem to contour to your stride.

I bought these and enjoy wearing them around the house and to the store. I usually wear a Brooks Beast but I wanted to try a different design and see how that went. My foot got messed up in my youth and after a surgery to fix a torn tendon I was looking for a good shoe to stabilize my foot while out in the yard and just messing around at the grocery store etc. I wear a 13 and the fit is good even though I have fairly wide and flat feet. My expensive custom orthotics fit inside them well and the stability is there especially on uneven terrain. I am by no means an athlete or runner so I don't judge them based on that type of criteria. The one drawback is the strange styling but that didn't take long to get over once I wore them around a bit. I have enjoyed them enough to order a second pair when they were on sale. I would tell anyone that asks about them to try them on at the store or order them first and see if they work for your needs. I would have never purchased them if I had based my decision solely on the negative reviews that I encountered.

We bought these two months ago for my 10 year old son. Now, as 10 year old boys go, shoes don't last very long at all, but I usually can eek out about 3 to 4 months from one pair of shoes. Not these. It's been a few days over 2 months he's had these, and they are ripping apart on both shoes below the lace eyelets. So, here I am on Amazon looking for yet another new pair of sneakers. Great for road running. I do not do trail, but my guess is there may be durability issues for someone who does. For me, I got my 300 miles out of them and found them to be a great shoe.

These are just darling shoes, and would be wonderful for her feet. They are as nice as they look!!

I read the other reviews saying they run small, so I ordered up a size. That was not nearly enough!!! Order up a few sizes. I think they have totally mislabeled these shoes. My daughter is crying in her room: they are such darling shoes, but just pinch her feet terribly.

We are now on our second pair of these shoes due to growth. Our 4 year old loves them and they are very durable. The only down side (and why I give 3 stars) is that my daughter scuffs the toe up on her first use and it is VERY noticable. I have yet to find an inexpensive pink shoe polish (as I doubt I will need that color ever again after these shoes are outgrow.) But for now, they are great play shoes!

I love these shoes, they are my daughter's favorite! They are so adorable and I like that they are so flexible. I wanted to keep her in soft shoes as long as possible for foot development but now she's playing outside a lot and running around with other kids and needs harder-soled shoes. She was putting them on my herself at about 18 months, which made her feel great. They are also pretty durable, not quite as shiny as when they were new, but the leather is holding up well and they look way better then her little suede sneakers. The only issue (and why they lost a star) is because the insoles come out pretty easily and she likes to take them out & play with them and has peeled the leather off the foam more than once. You can order replacements though.

I do think they're pretty pricey, but look for them on sale and sometimes you get lucky (I haven't paid full price yet)

**edited to add: we have the red shoes so my comments on how they are holding up apply to that color only.

I actually bought these shoes for my daughter because her previous GEL shoes hurt her feet. She put these on right out of the box and has not had a single complaint (and she complains about EVERYTHING) about them and she wears them EVERY DAY!

I can't think of a better endorsement at least as a walking shoe. She doesn't run because of a weight problem but she walks all of the time and she really gives these shoes a workout.

I have always been an ASICS fan, however this particular model seems to wear down fast. I purchased these just over a month ago. I walk 1 to 3 miles every day, and the tread is almost worn already. I opted to purchase the Brooks Ghost 5 shoe since the treads are reported to not wear easily. For daily use though, these are comfortable and a true, good fit.

I got the galaxy 5 to train a half marathon... I love the stability and gel cushion.. Slope back to front is moderate and I appreciate that too..

Overall a very good price for a training shoes.. If you're more serious and you want to go up 26 or more miles, you need to go with mizuno, saucony or puma..But if you're willing to replace every 200/300 miles max, it's a good option...

I ran 4 miles, just to do review. These will go in my closet until my Cumulus 12 pair wears out. I wish I could've found my size in that same sneaker, but everywhere seemed to be out of my size. This shoe seemed alike in fit and when I was walking. When I ran, it seemed alittle tighter in the heel, but not too big of a deal. I also bought the Gel Frantic 6 with this Galaxy 5, I liked that one more. I have a neutral fit, size 11. Overall a good shoe for the price, around $40.
