New Balance Women's WT20v2 Minimus Trail Running Shoe Reviews
I read literally hundreds of Amazon reviews on how this shoe fit before ordering and had a bit of a sizing struggle so wanted to write this review in hopes that it might help someone else. :-)
First I tried model WT20v1 (first version). I wanted to love this shoe but it ran very small in comparison to the WT20v2 model. The width and toe box are the same dimensions in both models but the length is very different. I normally wear a size 8.5 or 9 in running shoes and ordered both sizes. Couldn't even get the 8.5 on. The 9 fit but was very snug and I could have used a 9.5 (and I've never gone that large in shoes before). I also ordered both sizes in the WT20v2 and what a difference! There is roughly 3/4 inch difference in length between a size 9 in each model, with the WT20v2 being longer.. .it was actually too big for me. The size difference between the 9 in WT20v1 and a size 8.5 in the WT20v2 was around 1/4 inch, with the smaller size WT20v2 STILL being larger than the size 9 of the former shoe! I also felt like I had more "wiggle" room in the WT20v2, even though it was a half size smaller than the other model. I am better able to splay out my toes more for a more natural bare-foot style run.
Both shoes felt basically the same, but I like the sole and traction better on the WT20v2. . it also seemed to have a bit more support. So if you like the original WT20v1, then I would suggest ordering up at least a whole size (especially if you have long toes like me. My foot is not wide, at all!) The WT20v2 is more true to size and you can order your normal shoe size and it should work out very well. I ended up going with a size 8.5 in the WT20v2 and couldn't be happier. Oh, I also got the pink shoe and the color is not quite as vibrant as what I see on the computer monitor. It is more of a raspberry pink and very pretty. I absolutely love the Minimus once you work around the funky sizing! Just my two cents.

Aside from that, they are super light, a little hot, have a very sticky sole that wears quickly (so I try to keep mine for trails only and not the road). They look good and feel good and I like them. There is plenty of competition out there in this market, and it'll probably pay to shop around for the best fit before committing to a particular brand.

This is an addition to my first review which was written before the shoes weren't used extensively. Have the shoes been used extensively now... no. Not the shoes fault, but more mine. My sheer enthusiasm to get out and run trails with this new style of shoe, lead to an injury, and there hasn't been much running since. Needed to ease into barefoot running.
The reason for the second review is that with only 6 times being used, the shoes developed holes on one side. Where the right little toe rubbed on the fabric and just below that where the shoe bends. I was surprised and disappointed that this happened to a relatively brand new pair of shoes. What poor quality! Based on this, I really couldn't recommend these shoes. I think there are cheaper barefoot running shoes out there that would have to be more sturdy.
My only complaint is the inside of my right shoe, on the bottom, in the toe area, I can feel the seam. I was going to return it because maybe this is a defect but I had already run 4 miles in them and they were muddy so I decided not to return them and just taped the inside of my shoe. No one will ever know and I don't feel the seam anymore. Looks good too :) I am happy.
To get an idea what I like. My previous running shoe was the New Balance WT560 love it!!! I still use this shoe for pavement running because it has more "cusion". I did NOT like the original WT20 at all. It was too short. I am glad I heard about them making this v2, which is longer. I am size 10 in running shoes. 9.5 in regular shoes.

I tried three different pairs of New Balance barefoot running shoes. The first was a mens Minimus 10, they were a pretty good fit, but the colors and styling weren't for me. So I looked on Amazon and found the Minimus 20 and bought the same size as the Minimus 10.They arrived, and I tore open the box and put them on to find that they were probably 2 sizes too big! Awesome shoes, have owned similar NB styles previously great fit, comfort and all the rest. Unfortunately this pair were poorly made and both shoes developed holes in the upper mesh of the shoe after only 2 weeks of very light use. This shoe would be PERFECT if it wasn't for the fact that it is a size too long and the toe bed is very wide. I have read on other sites that the WT20 v1 fits more narrow and true to size. So, if your feet need shoes that run wide and long go for this model the WT20v2. It really is a shame that they do not fit me.
Buy Merrell Trail Glove 2
In general, we love these shoes for our boys ages 6 and 5. They fit nicely with or without a sock and have great flexibility and traction. As would be expected, they are not warm enough for wearing in the winter. There are two downsides. First, the silver part of the shoe is not actually material, it is paint. It doesn't last as long as one would expect it to for dropping $60 on a pair of shoes. I wish they would either eliminate the silver part entirely or make it better quality by actually being material. The first pair my eldest son owned had one shoe with the silver paint all worn off within the first month of wearing them, and the other shoe had it partially missing. So the shoes didn't look as nice as they should have for $60. Second, these shoes do NOT easily dry off. The advertising I recall says that they dry quickly...they don't. Not even in direct sunlight. It usually takes a good day for them to dry off if we put them outside after playing in the water. I think these shoes would be a better bargain if the above were improved upon OR if the price was lowered to say $45 a pair.
All that said, they are great outdoor play shoes for the spring, summer, and fall. My son has learned to climb trees like a monkey in these shoes because they offer adequate protection and traction while also giving his foot the flexibility it needs to climb.

I bought these for my clumsy boy. He was hating school last year because he was always falling and couldn't run as fast as the other kids. This summer he mentioned that he can run faster barefoot so I grudgingly decided to give these a try. They're so expensive! Bought these for my Converse-loving son, who says that the PF Flyers fit his wide feet MUCH better than chucks, and that the sole has more arch support and is therefore more comfortable than chucks, especially if you spend all day on your feet. He also said that they were comfortable right out of the box & needed no "breaking in" at all. And the all-black "Sandlot" version was very nice looking. I like these sneakers so much that I initially bought a pair for myself, then I bought a pair for my brother and another just to keep because i have a feeling that I would have a hard time finding then again in the future for this price.
Review of ASICS Men's GEL-Lyte33 Running Shoe
I have the charcoal /electric blue version, which has the white rubber sole. They are wonderfully light and fast, but also give good support. I was really happy with the way they felt, however after only 3x40 min runs there is substantial wear evident on the heel indeed, about one third of the AHAR rubber has already worn away. I am a light, efficient runner and a 20+ year ASICS user and have never had this problem before, even with ASICS lightweight shoes. Maybe the black rubber soles are more robust? Anyway, I will try a few more runs to see what happens however, if my experience so far is any guide they will have worn through the top layer of rubber within a couple of weeks in which case they will be winging there way back to ASICS for comment!

The shoes are also extremely light and which makes long distance running less of a pain than with heavier shoes. The lesser weight also helped me to run faster and finish before my normal average times.
DurabilityThis is something I would be testing over the next couple of months and maybe come back and update. Right now, the shoes do look durable and tough and I think they might last me 12-15 monthsjust about what other shoes running shoes have lasted me in the past.
Look/ Style: I purchased the Black/ White/ Onyx shoes and they look greatwhich is an added advantage. The white sole gives a very sleek, compact and stylish look to the shoe
Pricethe price of the shoe is fantastic and it offers extremely good value for the price.
Recommendation: I would be buying another pair in a couple of months. I would recommend these shoes to anyone looking for light weight running shoes.
These shoes are ridiculously lightweight to me . They don't feel like they weigh any more than my Adidas flip flops. In contrast, my work boots weigh about 7 lbs.
They breath very well. All of the grey around the front is a mesh material that you can see your foot through.
If you need a reflective shoe, this is it. Almost all of the silver around it is reflective.
My one issue with this shoe is the sole. I think it's too soft. I can feel more through it than I would like to, such as small rocks, when running on the paved jogging path I'm on most. It was enough for me to give this shoe 4 stars instead of 5, but it wasn't so bad that I quit wearing it.

Just ran my first four miles in these shoes. Early take is that they are super light, springy, and comfortable shoe. Great cushion and a tight fit for the sides. I have wide, flat feet and these shoes felt like I wasn't wearing anything. The only complaint I have is the plastic on the upper and side. The design of the shoes where the first lace is threaded is a little brittle and rubbed in the beginning. I suspect that this will disappear as they are broken in. Overall, very good shoe. I made him wear them as long as possible, as the tread on the shoe still was in OK shape, but had to replace them right after Christmas. First things first, you may need to order one size bigger. I normally wear Men's 13, exceptions have been size 14 in Nike and Under Armor. After reading reviews, I took a gamble and ordered these shoes in a 14 since I couldn't try them on first. Review of Spenco Polysorb Proform
As a high-arched person I usually need to add insoles to my shoes, at least to the shoes I wear in the gym or for hiking or walking, to make sure I have adequate support. This alleviates pain in my heels, arches, and the balls of my feet. For a while I was wearing green superfeet, but I found that they were interfering with my gait too much and wanted to make the switch to something more flexible. However, I found that a lot of the softer insoles available right now have so much bulk to them that they make it hard to fit my feet into my shoes. At the worst I have gotten heel blisters when the back of my heel was pushed up so high in the shoe by a padded insole that the heel cup of the shoe no longer held it in place. For a while I was using the Spenco full-lngth arch support but those do not provide any sort of a heel cup or much in the way of moisture-wicking. Still, it was the best thing I could find. Until this insole came along, that is.
Someone over at Spenco had the good sense to realize that many or most well-fitting shoes don't always have room for a big bulky insole as well as the wearer's foot. This Proform insole was the product of that realization and is the only insole I use now. It provides a solid arch support and heel cup as well as a full-length cushion that is soft yet dense and wicks moisture during a workout. It is so thin and light that it does nothing to change the fit of the shoe except to add a bit more arch and heel support. In fact, it is thinner than some insoles that come with gym shoes, creating even more nice toe room. It is also very flexible and doesn't hinder your natural gait (pronators might want to look elsewhere).
So overall a great, great product which I hope Spenco keeps making for years to come.
Second, the arch support is not particularly good either. Spenco lists these as being suitable for medium to high arches. I have medium arches that find high, firmed arches insoles (e.g. superfeet green or Sole softec Ultra) to be a little too high and uncomfortable. Yet these insoles provide little arch support, and not just because the arch isn't very firm. The arch just isn't high in these. I had to add a cut piece of foam under the arch (for both lateral and longitudinal arch support) to provide any support at all. This is again very misleading. The small metatarsal "bump" the insoles have are useless it is just a slightly raised area, and under the insole, you see an indent for it. It simply collapses under even the slightest pressure.
Third while the black forefoot cushioning is quite good, it is poorly placed. I measure a solid 10.5 US on a brannock device. I bought the size 10/11 spenco insole. These insoles are LONG could probably accomodate a size 11.5 shoe, maybe even a 12. The problem is that the black foam doesn't run close enough to the arch for me, and my forefoot is only partially on it. While the cushioning is still quite good, it seems odd to make the placement so far forward. If the insole is listed as able to accomodate a size 10 foot, the forefoot cushioning should be accomodated as well. I might have been better off with the size 8/9 unfortunately, no stores around me carry these insoles, so I couldn't try them on first.
A few other points while the cushioning is good, it is maybe too good. The insole is completely flexible, to the point of being able to be rolled up like a crepe. Using a somewhat firmer foam in the mid-foot and heel section would help a bit with stability.
Also, while it is thinner than their walker runner model, this is hardly a "thin" insole. I found it too thick to use in my hiking boots without taking up more toe volume than I would like. And I have thin, low volume feet. It will probably work for most athletic footwear, but for people with high volume feet it might be too much.
Conclusions these are probably only good for people who want/need a more cushioning insole that don't really need arch support. They are not suitable for over-pronators who need arch support and heel stabilization. I will wear them in my walking shoes with some added arch support, but I wouldn't use them for running or hiking.

While I have been mostly happy with many other orthotics, the extra height they add always adds pressure under the laces that gets uncomfortable after a long day. In addition to being very comfortable and supportive, these do not add height or pressure. I've worn them for months various shoes, and they have transformed even the cheaper pairs into some of the most comfortable shoes I've worn. I bought these insoles for three main reasons: 1.) Deep heel cups, 2.) Arch support, and 3.) Forefoot cushioning. While they have good forefoot cushioning, they fail on the other two counts. Reviews of Fila Men's Slip On Sandal
I would not recommend these sandals to anyone unless you have extremely narrow feet. Yes the strap is adjustable but the sole is very narrow and not very comfortable.
The only downside is that, as you can tell from my review, they don't last that long. Maybe it's because I wear them everyday, even in the winter time when there is 12" of snow outside or maybe because it's made out of this styrofoam material that fades away quick.
But overall, I love the feel to them and usually stock up on them when I get the chance (which I just did on this last purchase).
I also have a few Nike Air Max sandals which are also superb, but would take these Fila sandals over them any day. Not a big fan of Jordan sandals. They are ugly and ghetto.
While I enjoy the actual wearing of the Fila sandals, I wouldn't buy them again. I will buy another pair of Adida Slides because of their longevity.

I first bought these when I was 16 years old. I'm 33 now and still love these sandals. Very comfortable and the velcro is super strong. I am able to play basketball in them without having the velcro come apart. I must have gone through a dozen of these in the past 1 and a half decade. Firstly, the Fila Slip On Sandal is very light...a good thing...and has an insole which fits the confirmation of the foot. However, in very short order (3 months) the 'foam' outsole began to wear. These have been worn almost exclusively indoors, and the heel is already showing signs of significant wear! I estimate another 6 months before discard.While I enjoy the actual wearing of the Fila sandals, I wouldn't buy them again. I will buy another pair of Adida Slides because of their longevity.

Best Propet Men's Life Walker Sneaker Deals
This shoe required no break-in period before my first walk.I chose the black to wear with Business Casual pants and walk during my Lunch time. I would recommend this shoe and the cost was reasonable.

Update: Propet had me return the 2nd pair at my own expense and then did not send replacements until I called 10 days after they received the return. I now have the third pair and lo & behold the right shoe doesn't fit. I measured them & right shoe is 1/2 inch smaller than the left. They have not decided on how to compensate me.
Something is terribly wrong with Propet's quality control.
Update 2: After discussing with Propet they wanted me to PAY for the return AGAIN. I refused. They the agreed to send me Propet CommuterLite's instead. Well that was two weeks ago and they have not sent them. They said "We don't know what General Ledger account to charge so we haven't sent them". What a crock. Propet does NOT stand behind their products. They attempt to make your life difficult that you give up pursuing the replacements.
Udate #3: I finally got the replacements after 3 weeks of waiting. Shame on Propet for the constant excuses and quality. I will update if pair #4 have issues.

I bought these incredible Propet diabetic walker shoes for under $20 on Amazon. They came with the removable insoles so that I could insert my custom insoles. They are light, well made, and feel great! I had my insurance purchase an identical pair in a different color. They retailed at $149, so Amazon was an out ragious value! I bought these in black on another site. all I can say is that they are junk. Feel nice but the shoes develop splits in the soles after a month or two. This didn't happen just once but TWICE. The first pair cracked, I sent them back and the replacements did the same thing.I do like the fit and comfort but they don't last more than 3 months. Total junk.

These shoes don't stand up to normal wear. The soles are separating after three months, the tops are splitting at the seams, and the left shoe has a section cut out of the sole. These are the worst walking shoes I have ever purchased. Buyer beware! These are $40 shoes at best.
ASICS Little Kid/Big Kid GEL-Cumulus 12 GS Running Shoe Review
I'm 40 years old and very petite and I normally wear a women's size 4 shoe, of which there are none made in a running shoe in any brand that I found at any of the mall stores or online, so I resorted to buying a kid's size 3 running shoe, these ASICS Cumulus 12GS. For about a month now I've been using them comfortably for running/jogging. They fit well and are fairly cushiony, although I would've liked to have more cushion under the ball of the foot (up front). It's not something over which to return them, because, after all, there's nothing else worth choosing out there for running that would fit my petite foot!! At least they cost almost half as the equivalent in an "adult" size. I'd recommend them for ladies or kids.

They're very comfortable, and if you have small enough feet, it saves a ton of money buying these kid sizes rather than women's sizes. Okay, I couldn't resist the great little pair of shoes and their great price. Okay, they were a little big. I solved the problem with foot petals and another item by the same company that grips the back of the shoe.

I've tried various generic brands of cushions like these, particularly for the ball-of-foot (Tip Toes), with varying degrees of success & satisfaction, but Foot Petals are my favorite. They are the costliest of all the brands I've tried but they perform the best & despite them looking like thin, flimsy foam, they are anything but! they're very durable & effective at cushioning the tender balls of my feet in my high heels. The adhesive is so super-strong that I have difficulty removing the entire pad when they get dirty or old. For the most part, I try to keep the same cushion in each pair of shoes permanently & just overlook the fact that they get dirty over time. Black is the best color as they don't show dirt, but I love the beige/nude for shoes & sandals that are light colored. Generally these are about $7-$8 per pair but I love when I can find them at a discount either on sale or lower cost in multi-packs. I stock up every time I find them at lower cost. Generally I buy these locally but I love that they are now finally available pretty much everywhere, online & in stores. These kept my toes from scrunching to the front of my pumps. You would be suprised how much more comfortable a shoe fits when you are not sliding in them.I really wish they were cheaper or at least free shipping and handling.

They are not vented, not always easy to tell by the photos these days. I live in Arizona and in the summer I need to have breathable shoes. I do like the way Nike minimized gaps yet kept the sectional sole of the shoe. It makes for great flexibility and reduces the number of rocks that get stuck in the tread. They seem just a little snug and my feet get to hot in them.
