First, I'd like to thank Adidas, because if that brand had not decided to sell only obnoxiously fluorescent pink and blue women's running shoes, I would not be here giving the Saucony Women's Grid Profile running shoe one of my best reviews ever.
Second, I'm not the kind of person who shells out dough for running shoes without trying them on first. Thankfully, Dick's Sporting Goods gave me that opportunity, and while I was skeptical at first -the salesman said that most marathon runners prefer a more cushiony shoe -I have to say that I am a marathon runner and that I love this shoe!
I love it so much, in fact, that I've bought two more pairs of it online.
Here's why: I have a normal arch, I don't tend to overor under-pronate, and I only wear these shoes to run in (which I do most days, for at least 5 miles each time.) The fixed tongue is a bit tight, and that worried me at first, but only when I first slipped them on. While on the run, I don't notice that at all. In fact, I feel very light and agile in this shoe, though there's a lot of support. It's also not clunky.
It's been about four months, and I have not regretted my decision to buy these shoes over Adidas in any way.
In fact, I'd be more than happy to try other Saucony products now because I've had such a good experience with this shoe.
And if Saucony is reading this: Just please don't turn all fluorescent on me.

These shoes are so comfortable. I am overweight and have started walking to lose weight. I have done several 5K's and am doing a 1/2 marathon soon. I say that to let you know that no matter what weight you are, they work!! The heel is nicely cushioned. I also like the top of the shoe. They put a full piece of cushion under the laces. I tend to get lace burn after a while in most shoes. I don't in these. They are medium width and sizing is dead on. I have bought two pairs and am considering another just in case they stop making them.

I love these shoes.
I have been running in them for a few months and absolutely adore these shoes. They are so light they almost feel like I am wearing nothing when I run in them.
I really like the fixed tongue on them. Some people say they are hard to get on because of it. My experience with them has been that yes, they are a bit tight to start with but over time the tongue loosens and molds to your foot so they are easy to get on and off.
I just came off my best 5k time in them while also training for a half marathon! I'm going to stock up on a few more of these so I have them when these ones wear out.

After having tried various more pricey lightweight shoes, I got these on sale to keep in my car as just a back-up shoe for impromptu training sessions. I ended up enjoying my first few runs in them so much that I started using them for longer training runs. Very comfortable and provide a lot more comfort on the long runs without adding weight like other shoes that provide the same amount of cushion.
Being a triathlete, I was concerned about the fixed tongue being too tight to get my foot into easily during transition from bike to run, but since I use elastic laces (Yankz are the best), I decided to give it a shot using them in a tri this year. For shorter triathlons, I'm fine w/ other less cushiony shoes, but for my first half Ironman's half-marathon run, I knew I needed the most comfortable shoe possible!
I transitioned quickly w/ these shoes, no problem slipping in at transition at all! Not only that, I almost got a half-marathon PR on the run leg of a 70.3 mile Ironman race! I'm now sold...these are my new race shoes.
