First off, one can definitely feel the difference between the interchangeable soles; yet, when sliding your foot into the blue sole-laced Air Jordan 2011, you will automatically feel that it is the firmer and more responsive of the two. It actually plays lower to the ground which is definitely an advantage for those who thrive on the perimeter. One cannot be successful playing basketball standing straight up (defensively and offensively), therefore, the low-riding blue sole undoubtedly aids one's ‘horizontal' game. On the perimeter, a player uses a lot of lateral motion whether it is working off of a pick-and-roll or sliding your feet defensively, and the blue sole seems to possess a more ‘active' feel to it. In other words, your foot feels more free, and you are able and more confident to cover ground quicker when using the blue sole. You can credit the heel and forefoot Zoom Air units for this advantage. As with previous Zoom Air laced sneakers, the Air Jordan 2011 feels very flexible and owns a lower profile when incorporating the blue sole. It provides a very stable wear and allows the foot no wiggle room when making impact-heavy, sudden moves such as cuts to the basket, hesitations and unexpected jolts.

Love these running shoes! I have wide feet and these are a dream! Go a half size up from your normal shoe size :)

Even ordering 1 1/2 sizes larger than I wear, it was still too small. Liked the shoe, but really not into going from a size 8.5 to 10.5. Would recommend trying on in a store, then ordering online, so you wouldn't have to return/exchange.

14 years of nursing and I finally found a shoe I can run around in for 12-14 hours and my feet don't hurt when I get home. Love them so much I ordered a pair for home as well.

Adidas Men's Powerband 3.0 Golf Shoes Review

Adidas 2010 Men's Powerband 3.0 Golf Shoe

I have 4 pairs of Powerband 3.0 in:

(leather / toe / stripes)

white / white / black

white / silver / green

black / black /silver

white / blue / silver

white / black / silver

I also have:

Adidas Tour 360 ($180

Adidas Adipure ($250)

Foot Joy Contours ($90)

Ecco Street Premier ($140)

In comparison to the Powerband 3.0:

Adidas Tour 360 ($180 Similar but slightly heaver, and I don't think they look as good.

Adidas Adipure ($250 Very very heavy (all leather), always look dirty, difficult to clean (I have white)

Foot Joy Contours ($90) Really high off the ground, make my feet sore on the bottom, look goofy.

Ecco Street Premier ($140) Zero stability, too wide, no support, probably wore them 3 or 4 times total, now i just wear them when I mow the lawn, also look goofy in black.

Cleaning the Powerband 3.0:

I put all 4 pairs in the washing machine for 2 hours with bleach and detergent. These come out brand new every time. I bet my oldest pair has been through the wash 8 times.

Sizing:

I think that they run true to size. I usually get wide but I have a pair of medium that I am able to wear without a problem.

My Review:

The Powerband 3.0 are by far more comfortable and better looking than any other pair of shoes I own. I do not believe that there is any down side to these shoes. I will purchase these as long as Adidas offers them with the same quality and comfort.

Wear and tear:

I think that if your going to play 3 or more times per week it is worth it to have 2 pairs. Color is not important but allowing the leather to dry naturally is. Rotating between 2 pairs of shoes will extend the life of the shoes beyond wearing each pair every day until they wear out.

Shoe colors and my opinion about how they look:

white/white/black

black/black/silver

Basically these are solid white and black. I wear them mostly with pants. Remember to wear black socks with black shoes otherwise when you look down at the ball you'll be constantly reminded that you look like a goof ball.

white/silver/green My favorite color combo! They go with much more than you would expect. I don't know why but they do. Maybe because the green has a little blue in it? Or the silver toe is neutral.

white/blue/silver

white/black/silver

The blue is navy blue so its really close to black. I know that they also come in dark green. I think that they look better with shorts than pants. Usually I stick to the the shoes that have matching leather and toe colors with pants.

Closer to the ground:

Adidas has a marketing campaign about how close to the ground their shoes are. I think it matters a little bit. I noticed that Foot Joys are not that close to the ground. I feel as though being closer to the ground provides me better balance. However, it could all be in my head.

I was a little apprehensive about the comfort level of this shoe before buying it because I've always worn FootJoy's (and they've always been comfortable). However, after playing 5 rounds, not only have they proven to be comfortable, but I feel they are actually more functional toward my Golf swing. I tend to sway in my golf swing, but these shoes help me keep a better balance during my swing. I will usually let the weight shift from the inside of my right foot to the right side of my right foot during my backswing, but these shoes definitely help keep me in place.

I love these shoes and, they are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I have hardwoods throughout my home and even though some house shoes are comfortable when I first put them on, after a few hours it feels like there really isn't much of anything between my feet and the floor. I was in a very bad auto accident and my right foot, ankle and heel were crushed. Obviously, I had many surgeries to reconstruct my foot. In addition, I had nerve damage from the crush injury. I can wear these shoes all day and my feet are still comfortable. You must know this is saying a lot! I'm going to buy several more pairs and I hope Deer Stags will always keep these in their product line!

Very flimsy. Sole started coming off after 1 week, the seam in the back started coming apart at 2 weeks. I would have felt ripped off if these cost $10, let alone more than twice that. I recommend that you look elsewhere for a pair of slippers.

Best Deals on Deer Stags Women's Whenever Slipper

These were comfortable AND CUTE! BUT...they were extremely lightweight and not sturdily made. As I checked out the workmanship, I felt that they would not stand up to what I personally needed from them.

If you need a slipper that isn't soft and fuzzy-lined, not heavy on your feet, and comfy/good fit...these are for you.

But if you desire something with more "soft" on the inside and something that will last...then I don't recommend.

Honest reviews on Deer Stags Women's Whenever Slipper

The outside of these slippers is great. After wearing the slippers for only one month tho, the inside bottom sole pulled out and is uncomfortable. When you slip your feet inside, the material bunches up inside on the bottom of your feet. Otherwise, they would be comfortable with the soft sole on the inside.

Got a pair of these for Christmas. Wish we'd known, these don't have a fur lining (natural or man-made) or even token arch support. The inner lining is cloth, not fluffy and not particularly warm. The sole is flat, almost stiff. There's a strip of fur edging the opening, but no fur material inside. Basically I need to wear socks with these to keep my feet warm. I wear a women's size 11, which these are, but these are cavernously large and threaten to flip off my feet as I walk. These may be well-made, but the feel isn't 'warm and cozy'.

I have been wanting a pair of soft and warm boots that are comfortable to wear to school. I have been doing my homework and that brought me to these great boots! I refuse to pay for the UGG name simply because they are overpriced. About the boots...I was a little nervous to buy these online because so many reviews say they run big or they run small so I drove half an hour to a store that carried them. I am typically a size 8. The front of the boot was a little snug but felt great on my calves. I decided to go with a size 9 which is slightly loose. This is great for pants, leggings, and boot socks. I am 135 pounds and athletic. At the risk of sounding self absorbed I would like to mention that I have very muscular calves and they were still comfortable. They are very nice quality, wonderfully comfortable, match almost everything, and were a fairly decent price. I am still thinking about the sizing and hope they don't stretch. I think it is great that there is a sole that is not slippery and they can be waterproofed. I am more than happy with these boots. Good luck on your search for the perfect boot!

I was a little skeptical about buying these boots at first. I have always bought Uggs, but when my recent pair became destroyed by the salt on my campus, I was left with no boots for the winter. I saw these on Amazon, and as a poor college student, spending $60 on a boots with a brand I never heard of seemed iffy. But I took the chance (after reading the other reviews) and was very happy with them! They are exactly as described on the website, and the sizing was accurate. I wear an 11 in boots, and ordered a size 11. The boots are warm and comfortable, and the traction on the bottom has prevented me from slipping numerous times. After wearing them for about a month, the boots have little wear and tear and have stood up to snow, rain, and ice. I was very happy with these boots, and would recommend them to anyone!

Best Deals on BEARPAW Women's Meadow Tall 606W Boot

First of all The boot in this picture is not the "Tall 605w boot", it does not measure 11.5 inches from the arch, and the ankle size is extremely tight compared to products in retail stores. I ordered this boot expecting it to be 11.5 inches and the meadow 606w they originally had advertised about a month ago, it was not that boot it was this boot the 605w boot that is only 10 inches. Look on the bearpaw website you will see for yourself the false advertisement for this boot. Beware the boot in the picture is not the boot you will get the boot is short not tall, if you want a tall bearpaw boot the meadow 606w is tall at 12 inches or so from the arch and the 2 inches does make huge a difference. I am giving this product one star not only because Amazon cannot get there act together and hassled me several times over the phone when I was trying to sort out the problem with this boot, but also because the horrible size and quality differences of the product. Some boots have great shearling on the inside whereas others have what looks to be frizzed out fake sheerling that is scratchey and not soft. Also I ended up going to the mall and getting these boots and the size difference from the size 7 I got from amazon and the size 7 in the store was huge! the size of the ankle in the store bought shoe was perfect, the one from amazon was very tight on my ankle and I have a very petite frame.

I do however love the boots I bought in the store even thought they were 70 dollars compared to amazons 40 which is why I ordered from amazon in the first place. They are warm and soft and every bit as good as overpriced UGGS. just be careful when ordering these online and check on the bearpaw website to confirm the specifications that Amazon has listed.

Honest reviews on BEARPAW Women's Meadow Tall 606W Boot

I just got my Bearpaw boots! I was so excited for them to get here, I was tracking it everyday lol. I rated these in between because I liked how fast they got here but like the other reviews, they messed up the order..I ordered the 606W which are suppose to be taller boots (12inches) and they delivered the 605W which are smaller (10inches)...now I gotta return them and hopefully I will get the right ones shipped out...thats a five dollar difference! :/ REVISED.....SO DISAPPOINTED!!!! got my Bearpaw boots today!... and they delivered the shorter 605W boots instead of the 606W boots I had originally ordered AGAIN! I got so mad when I received these boots. Worst service ever. Is it that hard to send the right boots?? or if they dont have these boots anymore they should maybe not post that they have them and send different ones! ughhhh...I will try once more WITH a written note maybe that will help them follow instructions. if they mess this up again I will def be fighting for a refund!

My son joined a running club at school and needed a good running shoe. He loves these! My big problem is getting him to only wear them on running days he wants to wear them everyday.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

We bought these shoes for my son to run cross country this past fall. The shoes were easy to break in, he ran well in the shoes and felt very comfortable with them. They are light shoes that may be designed to run on a track. Nevertheless, he did run through grass, dirt, sidewalk, mud, and the shoes did get wet a lot. Five weeks after purchase (running five days a week, 3-5 miles each time), the stitching in the front of the shoe came loose, and then the entire rim of the front of the shoe detached. Perhaps that was to be expected, but it was very disappointing for me. The rest of the shoe remained intact, but the shoe could not be used for running with a flapping rim (we never tried hot-gluing them).

I expected more from the name Nike, I suppose. I bought New Balance running shoes for him (also light weight), and since then he has worn them for running and for his regular school day for six months. The top stitching has held up perfectly. The insert is now worn flat, but again, it is to be expected from so much use. The insert is easy to replace. The stitching, not so much. I would be wary of purchasing these shoes again.

Best Deals on Nike Free 5.0 (GS) Boys Running Shoes 580558-400

My kids loved the shoes. Nike runs a little small ... so if your child has wide feet .... not the shoe for them.

Honest reviews on Nike Free 5.0 (GS) Boys Running Shoes 580558-400

Nike Free Runs are the best! I mostly got them to wear to school and work out in the yard, but, when I run/walk with my dogs my feet didn't hurt after.

Nike Free Runs have have very soft padding and are very comfortable. I recommend them for anyone to get them. The free runs soles are very strong they made it two years with me. My past Reeboks did not hold as well as Nike Free Runs.

What I didn't like about the free runs were that even though the soles held the cushioning didn't. After a year or less it started to wear two holes through it. Since I had neon green ones they got dirty super fast so I'd have to power spray them (A machine that puts more power into the spray).

They have little stars all over them that look cool and aren't girly. There are different shadings of the same color all over. The Nike sign on the side reflects light such as a bike. Since I wore them hiking, walking the dogs, and running they went by pretty fast. I hope you will like them if you decide to get them they are very good and fun. I would say if you get bright colored ones try not to get them dirty.

I was sooooo disappointed with these sneakers. My son is four, and granted I did order one size up so he had room to grow in them (he had tried on another pair of Merrell's at a local store in the same size and they fit fine), but he can't even wear these, when he runs his feet come out. The z-rap part on the top isn't adjustable, unlike on his keens where you can pull the excess strapping and make them tighter, these you can only make looser. My son is very disappointed as well, his favorite color is red, so he couldn't wait to wear these. Normally I love Merrell's, but these were a major let down.

This sneaker fits smaller than other we ordered in the same size (Size 4 Big Kid). It fitted, but my daughter would outgrow it in a month. I also ordered same size Saucony sneakers and Timberland boots in the same order and they both had more room lengthwise. So, I would go at least half size up in these Merrells.

The quality looks good to me, given, that you know that you are ordering a lightweight sneaker for warmer weather or indoor gym. The fabric is thin, the little feet can breathe in them. Definitely not for cold weather outside. Also the look is super stylish. I had a good deal on sale and I would have kept them if they were bigger. But I ended up with Sauconies and returned these.

Easy to put on too. Attractive and should stand the test of time b/c they are Merrills. Light weight was my only apprehension b/c these are his Fall/Winter sneakers but he's so happy that I'm cool with them being lightweight. He's sold and that makes me a happy Mom.

No shoe or brand is going to work for everyone, but I'm convinced the New Balance 587 is the best one for me. I'm a big ol' fat boy (6'2", 210lbs) with feet that are stupid wide (13EEEE). I started running in my late 40s and ran my first marathon at age 49, and I haven't used any other running shoe for the past several years. When I hit 350-400 miles, I get a new pair, convert my running pair to my walking pair, and throw out the current walking pair.

I do a whole lot of walking in the city where some places it's just quicker and more convenient to walk to certain places. If you do a lot of running or walking, you'll notice a difference in the feel of these shoes compared to other brands. There's no gimmicky air bubbles or springs; just comfort and support with a style of shoe that goes with anything you wear. It also comes in wide sizes!

Best Deals on New Balance Men's M587 Running Shoe

Always had good luck with New Balance shoes but not this pair. I have discovered if the seal between the tread and the inner construction foam is breached, the shoes will emit a smelly gas that has nothing to do with foot odor. This smelly gas only gets worse if the shoes are worn after the smell is noticed. The problem is with the chemicals used to make the inner cushioning foam. I have notified NB about the problem and for the money paid, there should be a recall. I was forced to distance my home from those shoes, the shoes went in the trash can, and I know many other NB customers have experienced the same experience.

The New Balance Men's M587 Running Shoe has been an excellent running shoe. It has a built in rollbar that prevent shin-splints and the shoes are extremely comfortable to run-in. Inov8 Mens Bare-Grip 200 Running Shoe Lime/Black Size 12
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars

Dirty, wet fun: and no, I'm not talking about your girlfriend (not this time, anyway). I'm three runs (about 30mi) into my pair of these, after having spent the last 6 months or so in my NB Minimuses (Minimi?). I think the NB is a decent comparison point because it's one of the first minimal runners that got widespread distribution, and because the 4mm drop and rock shield makes for a decent set of training wheels before moving on to an all-out zero-drop mid-sole-less minimalist barnstormer. I particularly look at weight, feel and 'niche aptitude', materials and construction, fit, driability, style (inasmuch as it matters), .

Weight: the empirical is easy, and the news is good. I weighed these myself and a recently calibrated analytical balance accurate to 1/100th of a gram. I've loved the NB's for their lightness, at 230g (8.11oz) my US10.5's are about an ounce heavier than advertised, but maybe their figure was determined with a different size. Still that's a lot less than a regular trail shoe (Brooks lists their Cascadia 6 @ 12.4oz). I was quite surprised to find that the Bare Grip 200's were very closely matched to the NB's: 257g (9.07oz) with the insole and 241g (8.50oz) without the insole. The reason I mention the insole is that, if you really want more feel and care that much about a half-ounce of weight, you may consider running these with socks but no insoles. I haven't tried it yet, so I can't say if it's a good idea or not. Regardless, for the aggressive tread on this shoe, I was very impressed.

Feel: You're not going to feel the trail with these as you would with VFF's or a dedicated minimalist shoe like vivobarefoot's Ultra M. Still, taking into account that Mickey Thompson tread, it's way better than you'd think. This shoe has no midsole, none. Depending on the geology of where you're running, the 7mm lugs may protect your foot from pointy objects or not; it all depends on the size and sharpness of the rocks you're running on. And as obvious as the ears on Obama's head: these are not for the road, nope. Uh-uh. Gravel road? Nyet. For crushed-granite gravel roads, I'll stick to something with a rock plate, however thin. But when it comes to dirt, loose soil, and bad weather, the mud makes these shine. Barrel down muddy, technical descents with zero regard for ground as unstable as an ex-girlfriend; power through switchbacks and corners crooked as politicians with no fear of these succumbing to lateral g's and slipping out from beneath you. The spacing of the lugs is just right, mud will not cake, and rocks will not wedge in between them. The rubber is even slightly sticky, so gliding over smooth, exposed rock is a breeze, even when it's wet. Caveat: watch your toes, these things are a little pointy. You may find yourself catching your toe and tripping were you wouldn't normally in a more blunt-toed shoe. Not that I ever trip or fall, it's just what I've heard, right? (right?). Still, easy enough to overcome, and worth it.

Materials and construction: mine have already been exposed to a fair amount of sharp, exposed rock and appear to be no worse for the wear. No cracked or torn lugs, no abrasions on the fabric, no hint of any kind of de-lamination or loss of adhesion. It's still early, but I'm heartened in that having adhered to the minimalist mindset, Inov-8 hasn't added a lot of unnecessary crap to the shoe. Sometimes, you look at a shoe and can see all the places it will go wrong, even if it hasn't yet. Not here, the materials are good, and the design is effective and KISS-simple. Even the laces are right: small diameter (about that of cooked spaghetti) and tough, they stay tight and tied. One odd thing: dirt gets in, and in surprising quantities. I run in wright socks, and when I take my socks off after a run, I often find fine dirt (almost like sediment) caked around my toenails. With the socks, it doesn't seem to be a problem with abrasion, but I wouldn't go without socks because of this. Also, how bad would that be on any sort of infection around the toenail? Yuck. Better to be like Marshall Ulrich and just get your toenails removed. The dirt issue and driability are the only things holding this back from a full five stars.

Fit: I'm one of those in-betweeners, and I hate it. I'm US10.5 for some companies, US10 for some, and anywhere from EUR42 to EUR44. I got these in a US10 and they're good. Thank god someone makes shoes for narrow feet. It seems like other companies just assume all Americans have fat, flat cow feet and leave those of us with low-volume high-arched feet swimming in toeboxes big enough for a family of undocumented workers. Whereas even the NB's sometimes feel like walking in duck feet, these are sleek, slender and agile.

"Driability"--as I mentioned, the only other criteria holding these back from a full five stars. Get home, rinse them out, sit them in front of a fan, and it seems like they take twice as long as anything else to dry. This carries over during the run. Here in Georgia, it's either raining, or it's so hot that after 5 miles, sweat has completely soaked everything, including your shoes. It may be not as much of an issue in the winter, as the shoe seems to fit close enough that, even if it gets wet, everything is close enough to the skin to still be insulative (like a wet-suit). Hence, I still foresee these being my go-to winter shoes.

Style--inasmuch as it matters: it doesn't. The only people who are going to care are other runners, and it won't be looks they're interested in. A coworker saw mine in my bag and called them "cleats". I didn't bother to correct him.

Final word: these are the best thing going out there for a mud and winter shoe, but not for a first-time minimalist, and not for mixed road/gravel terrain. They are dedicated, and it shows. Get 'em.

A very minimalistic trail or cross country running shoe. I use these for both trail running and foot strengthing. A little tight in the toe box area, but I get over it. Perform great in grass and mud areas. Tons lighter then the bulky trail shoes out there.

Best Deals on INOV8 Bare-Grip 200 Unisex Running Shoes

I have been wearing Vibram for over two years now and have done various mud runs with them but I always had two big issues with slipping and random debris getting stuck in between my toes. Various friends have the Merrell and Vevo trail shoes and they too had slipping issues during mud runs so I knew those shoes only solved half of my problems. I knew about the Inov-8 trail shoes but I wanted a zero drop and truly minimalist trail shoe. The Bare Grip 200 fits that bill and the aggressive lugs sure offer some of the best grip I have ever seen.

I tried the Merrell and Vevo trail shoes at my local shoe store but no one in Dallas carries the Bare Grips so I had to resort to trying the Inov-8 230 shoes which are built on the same platform. Sizing wise I had to drop one half size otherwise I had way too much space in the front of my foot. Having tried those other trail shoes, the first thing you will notice is the narrow fit around the toes of the Bare Grips. Unlike other barefoot/minimalist style shoes, you can't splay your toes as much and this threw me off at first but it wasn't overly constrictive. I read on various blogs that this was done to prevent your foot from rolling past the sole of the shoe and prevent blisters. After a 5 mile trail run on a hilly mountain bike trail, I can say I appreciate the more narrow fit. No blisters which is rare for me since I always walk away with at least one or two blisters while I break in a pair of shoes.

Out on the trail you do feel the lugs even with the insole but it wasn't painful and powering through hills I noticed my feet really using those lugs to grip the floor, no slipping for sure.

If you do have wide feet then yeah these shoes are not for you. I have pretty normal width and I didn't have any issues with cramped toes. I can't wait to try the Spartan Race with these bad boys :-)

Honest reviews on INOV8 Bare-Grip 200 Unisex Running Shoes

It must first be said that I'm a CrossFitter, so I'm pre-conditioned to like Inov-8's already. But this review is totally separate from my CrossFit love for the brand, mainly because I did not buy these shoes and do not use them for CrossFit. I bought these shoes because I like to take my dog trail-running here in Hawaii. I have been trying to go more and more minimal on my shoes to strengthen my feet. I ended up trying to run completely barefoot, but was finding it a little too hard on my feet. I would get cuts and scratches which was no good, and the trails change quickly from mud, to roots, to pine needles, to rock and slate which can be a little hard to grip without causing more damage to your feet. Then I got these shoes!! They are AWESOME. they give you all the flex you could want or need, they grip extremely well and give you great confidence while running without the cleats getting caught on anything (which I was a little worried about), and they are super light and comfortable!! Not to mention they look pretty bad-a$$. I think Inov-8 is a great company that designs stuff for people, not for the biggest market. If you're on the edge about these shoes, get 'em, you'll love 'em. Had mine for a few months now and they're holding up great!!

Perfict fit for the job! After purchasing and sending back about 4 pairs of shoes I chose the Bare-Grip 200 for my first mud obstacle race. They do run long so I had to order a smaller size to make it work but it was worth the trouble.

The first time I wore the shoes for any length of time was the day of the race, stupid I know but what a pair of shoes!!! I am used to wearing Vibram-five-fingers and am severely flat footed so the Zero-Drop was perfect for me.

The shoes are comfortable and flexible. I took the insole out for the race but leave it in for longer distances >10 miles. They look cool and perform even better! Water runs right through them but sand can be a bit of a pain probably more so for me since I do not wear socks.

I have tried other Innov8 shoes after these but cannot find the right one, but THESE SHOES are a MUST if you are doing Warrior Dash, Spartan Race, or Tough Mudder type runs.

I have extremely high arches and suffer from planter fasciitis. The ASICS Gel-Nimbus is the only shoe I have worn that has just the right amount of cushion and support that doesn't aggravate the symptoms. Very comfortable!!! If they could just get a handle on the color options. My last pair was the 12. Took 3 models for a descent color combination.

For big frame, high arch runners I cannot imagine a better cushioned shoe. I am 6' 190. I have had consecutive multiple generations of these shoes back to GEN I-don't-know-what ( I think 3). Ultimate cushion, large toe box, great flex. Every pair has been race ready out of the box. I am 51 and have run multiple or at least one duathlon, 1/2 or whole marathon every year for the last 12 years ( year of my first gel nimbus). There has always seemed to be a color combination that looks nice too. I run with orthotics an the there is ample space to insert your own foot bed unlike higher models for pronaters. I was a New Balance guy for since high school (many moons ago) until I had my first pair of these. I am just glad to see that Acics has not over-engineered the model away from its original awesomeness. Great job!

The fit of the shoe is as expected. The first time I tried on a could definitely feel the gel move. After going for my first 4 mile run I don't feel it moving anymore and feels broken in. They are definitely more comforable than my year on Nimbus 14 that have been put through the ringer. Based on my recolection the structure of the shoe is a little stiffer than the 14. One annoyance of the 14 that appears to be fixed is the heal. The 15 feels more firm and secure whereas the 14 had a problem where the structure would roll down inside the fabric. I also like the look of these more than some of the Nimbus 14 options. I will try to remember to update once I have more time to run in these.

Honest reviews on ASICS Men's GEL-Nimbus 15 Running Shoe

I'm a solid guy in my 40's who's generally athletic but I have high arches, a wide forefoot, and wear a small sized running shoe. I am not one of those effortless, injury-free runners. I land on the outside of my foot as I run and my feet and lower legs take a beating as I pick up speed and mileage. So my running career has often been a start and stop affair. I've purchased New Balance running shoes for the last few years, particularly since they routinely offer more width options. These were okay, but as I started back into running this spring I was looking for another option. (I had followed the recommendations at our local go-to running store, but I think they default to New Balance for wide feet.) After a good amount of research I bought the Nimbus 15 through Amazon and it has been the best running shoe I've ever worn by far. I'd never run in Asics before although I've tried many other brands in the past: Nike, NB, Saucony, Brooks, Adidas... The difference for me was immediate and striking. For underpronators (supinators) with high arches the cushioning in this shoe is ideal, yet responsive.

I ordered my normal size in 4E, largest width. Surprisingly, the shoes felt a little loose, so I ordered another pair a half size smaller with the same width. I ended up keeping both pairs and use the smaller size only for running and the half size larger pair for more casual activities.

I guess the price for the Nimbus could be considered steep, but if I can get in a few more runs each month without pain then it is easily worth it for me. My only complaint would be that Asics only offers one of the Nimbus color schemes in the wider options. I even ordered last year's model, the Nimbus 14, as an alternative style, but those shoes don't have the same outside forefoot cushioning for road running.

>> UPDATE at 300 miles of wear. These shoes have held up great after 3 months of regular running on roads, treadmills, and trails. I just finished a Tough Mudder run in Tahoe with a dozen miles of running over rocks, trails, obstacles, mud, and dirt and had no problems at all. These shoes have been great on the roads when running fast intervals or long slow distances. The Nimbus 15 has been the perfect running shoe for me and I hope Asics doesn't mess it up next year.

I ran with it yesterday and it's the most comfortable shoes I have had in a while. I was running on the Kayano 18s and the Nimbus beats it for me. Maybe because I'm an underpronator and the Nimbus is more for it than the Kayanos.

Very similar to normal Merrell Trail Gloves, but they are just too roomy and without laces you can't tighten them up on your feet.

What I wanted was a cross between the cheap, flatfooted water shoes you find at stores like WalMart and Target, but not as nice as the Fancy ones you find at specialty stores. These fit the bill, almost.

Pros These are decent water shoes, with some arch support. Well made. They have a molded hard sole and good handle on the heel to pull them on. They are pretty comfortable once you have them on.

Cons They are HARD to get on. I wear a size 10.5, and I thought I would not be able to pull them over my foot. They do not stretch AT ALL. That said, once I am able to pull them onto my foot, the fit is correct at 10.5, and they fit comfortably and snugly. Also, the adjustable strap you see is for decoration only, it doesn't really do anything (so don't be fooled). The Arch support could be better. It is there, but it is minimal.

The real difference between these and the fancier ones is the arch support and sole inside the shoe. It is still minimalist, but better than the cheap ones. I MIGHT buy these again, but I would sure try on a few more before I do.

I love these. They are VERY light on the feet, almost as if walking barefoot. Comfortable fit. Very delighted with this product !

Honest reviews on Merrell Men's Barefoot Rapid Glove

Really comfortable, little tight around the collar initially but this loosened up after 2-3 wears. Nice wide toe box, even more than other Merrell Barefoot shoes. Can't wait to get them wet.

Normally I don't take the time to review products, but I felt I had to with this one. I purchased the 10.5 size. I had read that they were "very hard" to get on in some cases, and another review said that the strap was meaningless, that if you loosened it, there was no difference in the difficulty of getting them on your feet. Well, I have to disagree. At first I tried to put them on without loosening the strap and, yes, they were difficult to get on. But then I loosened the strap and they went on just fine. They do fit "true to size", and I'm glad they come in 1/2 sizes. I have a slightly wide foot and these fit perfectly. They have to fit snug around the top to keep out small rocks etc that are encountered in rivers, on the beach, in the water etc. Don' hesitate, buy em : )
