This is a gorgeous, stylish shoe. Typical Ecco quality and value for the price. The yak leather is supple and beautiful. The shoe fits like a ballet slipper (I assume, never having actually worn one)...your feet feel in close contact with the ground. I think younger guys would really like it. For a middle-aged man like me, though, it lacks lateral support and I think it would be tiring to wear for long periods.

K-Swiss Women's Blade-Light Run Running Shoe Reviews
Hands down these ae the best shoes. They are light weight and dry fast. For the longer distance runner this can make a big difference. My first half ironman I wore ascics and the last five or so miles were hell. They were hell because my feet felt like lead and they were water logged. I bought a set of kswiss shoes and have never looked back. If weight and dryness are important to you then these are the shoes for you.
As for comfort, they are very comfortable to me.
I sent K-Swiss customer service several emails explaining the situation, and to see if they could send me some of the same mesh material so I could at least try to repair the shoes myself. The rest of the shoe was fine, so I wanted to continue wearing them. I never heard back from the company after sending 3 emails.
I'll never buy these shoes again, not just because of the poor quality, but also because of their crappy customer service. Too bad, because I really liked the rest of the shoe, but they just aren't worth the money if the top falls apart so fast.
As for comfort, they are very comfortable to me.

I ordered these because I was told they were comparable to the K-Swiss Blade Max Stable for my supination and high arches. Although the are comfortable they do not compare to the Blade Max, they do not have the stability or support. The toe portion is also wider than the Blade Max. Best Brooks Women's Cascadia 8 Trail Running Shoes Deals
i size up a while size in this shoe.
i've fortunately only had a wonderful experience running in this shoe. i love this brand and shoe model and have pretty much been running exclusively in the brooks cascadia since its inception. i feel bad that the other reviewer had such a terrible experience because it's a shame that he/she won't be wearing this shoe anymore. i can say only good things about this shoe. i have horrible, end stage arthritis in my right knee, and these provide me with the cushioning and control my body needs to stay on the trails. i've been running for 20 years and have worn all other shoe brands, and i'm still in love with the cascadia. its transition is extremely smooth, and they feel like slippers on my feet. i have hypersensitive feet, and i hate being able ti feel rocks under my feet, but with this shoe, i eat up the trails. i feel pretty invincible in these. the laces are the perfect length, and the shoe is extremely sturdy and can be used for longer than most other shoes, especially if you purchase some insoles when they start getting older. superfeet make decent insoles.
OK, so 2 failures is a small sample, but it may suggest QA issues, if not serious (and for an off road shoe potentially-vital) design flaw, IMHO.
(PS women's 9 in the v8 feels half a size bigger than in v6/7, to me)

I bought these shoes for a trip to Southern Utah where I planned to do a lot of trail running and hiking. Five miles into my first trail run I felt my right shoe loosening and when I bent to adjust the laces I realized that one of the four "loop" eyelets had broken. I relaced the shoe to skip the broken eyelet and continued. A few miles later, a second eyelet broke. The shoes have a set of eyelets formed by loops that are glued, not sewn, into place, and those are the ones that broke maybe I got a lemon shoe, but that's just poor contruction for shoes meant for rough terrain. Brooks generally makes good trail running shoes and I had three pairs of the Cascadia 7. Each pair lasted me about six months while running and trail hiking 50 miles per week. I have had the Cascadia 8 for less than two months and they are already wearing out. The shoe is flimsier than the Cascadia 7. I am slightly disappointed because they cost $120. My next step is to check out Runner's World reviews for a sturdier trail running shoe that provides more stability and lasts longer. They got 5mi before eyelet gave.... I managed 5 seconds... No exaggeration... Straight out of the box, first pull to lace up and one of the now glued-in lace pulled, when I wasn't even straining it. Unfortunately it would cost more to return than just to make a hole myself... And as I would have zero confidence now in any replacement anyway, that is what it'll be doing. Cheap Puma Women's Complete Spectana Running Shoe
I love these running shoes! They offer great support and fit very comfortably. As always, I ordered a full size larger than my "normal" size for running, and the size was perfect. I had no breaking in period (as you should not have to break in shoes) and my feet feel great after a run (long or short). I run on average 40 miles per week, and these shoes make it easier for me to do that. I'll definitely order another pair!
I wish manufacturers would understand that just because a foot is longer, it is not always wider, and give us that option. And I wish Puma would go back to making sneakers the way they used to. A 9 is no longer a 9.

After having problems with my achillies hurting from not being in the right shoe I knew I needed to get something that would give me good support while working out. These shoes have done the trick. I can definately feel the support through my ankles and all around my feet. I also bought these in my normal size. I found a pair of Puma I bought a long time ago, never wore, and forgot I had. They feel so good I decided to order more. However, now the sneakers are made shorter so my toe is jammed into the front and my regular size 9 no longer fits. Ordering a 1/2 size up isn't an option as I tried on a pair at a local retailer and the front of the foot is too wide. This happens with all brands, and I've tried many. If the shoe is wider at the front, there is less support. On the RARE occassion of finding a 9 1/2 narrow, I'm not sure if they'll fit either, as I'm a meduim.I wish manufacturers would understand that just because a foot is longer, it is not always wider, and give us that option. And I wish Puma would go back to making sneakers the way they used to. A 9 is no longer a 9.
ASICS Women's GEL-Turbulent Running Shoe Reviews
I am new to running, and started off just wearing a pair of Asics running shoes (Gel Maverick 3) I had in the house. After running my first 5K in them and having no issues, I tried many other brands of running shoes (New Balance, Ryka, Nike, etc.). None of those brands have come close to the comfort I feel wearing Asics. With those other brands, some issue always kept cropping up with my right foot--either I got blisters in all different spots, or all of a sudden I would have knee issues. . .when I returned to my Asics, I didn't have any of these problems. Knowing that, I went out and bought the Gel Turbulent, and I have not been disappointed in the least. I wore these for a longer run (10 miles) right out of the box, and had absolutely no issues. They are comfortable and provide great cushioning. Indeed, when I tried these on in the store, my feet felt right "at home" in them.
I'm sure that other runners have their favorite shoes that fit the specific needs of their feet and biomechanics, but for me (I overpronate on my right foot only), Asics are the only brand that have me running comfortably all the time, and the Gel Turbulents are a nice, comfy addition to my running shoe collection.

Bought this shoe on a whim, forgot my running shoes and wanted to run to pass time while I was visiting my hubby during AIT. I'm nearing my miles on these shoes and can't fathom getting rid of them (tried replacing with a pair of UA's and it just isn't the same!). Love, love, love this shoe! My husband loves the fit of Keen shoes--he has a very high instep and very wide feet, and Keen shoes seem customized for him. These shoes are great if you work in conditions where you're on your feet a lot, and don't know what to expect from your work environment--water, soot, grease, sparks--they handle all of that an d still look great.

I'm a picky shoe buyer and these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I have a wider foot, size 13, and these fit like a glove. The first night I wore them I didn't want to take them off when I got home! The color is perfect, not quite black more of a dark brown a little darker than the picture. It's really nice to have a shoe that's comfortable like a Keen, but not quite as clunky-looking as most Keens. This fits the bill. The last is a little wide for me, but I use a big insole, and the toebox is roomy. Maybe a little too heavy, but overall it's very comfortable, and it's waterproof, yet I can wear it to places that I could never wear a boot or hiking shoe with that big rubber toe cap.

Ordered the sneakers after I misplaced my original pair during a move over the summer. Had this style in a gray/turquois color combination and was thrilled that there were more color choices. The purple/turquois combination was beautiful and coordinated well with all my workout gear! Read many online reviews that this sneaker ran small, which I found to be true because I tried on the same style in different colors and they all fit differently. So, I order a 1/2 size up from what I would normally wear, and was disappointed that it was too large. The memory foam cushion insert didn't feel as comfortable as well and I ended up shipping them back to seller.

Cheap Vivobarefoot Men's Breatho Trail Trail Running Shoe
I had bought a pair several months ago for myself. The sizes run a little big. I would recommend ordering on size smaller than what you normally wear. Otherwise they are a comfortable fit. I bought this pair for my spouse after I had a chance to try mine out on some mild rock climbing/hiking. When I say rock climbing I mean boulders, not the kind with ropes and climbing straight up a cliff. They offer some good grip against the smooth rocks.
Also, these shoes want to grip carpet a little too much.
Over-all an excellent shoe! As long as the wearer has trained using a minimal shoe before.

These shoes are great for running on rugged muddy trails and any steep incline or decline. I have yet to lose grip in any running terrain. The only place that I've noticed a decrease in grip is on wet boardwalk. But really, I don't know what grips that material. . .Also, these shoes want to grip carpet a little too much.

I've often wondered why shoes, by and large, are not shaped like feet. These shoes are shaped like feet, which makes the wearer look slightly, well, ducky. But they are comfortable, not least because they have really wide toe boxes.
They are also light and flexible, which is nice because they don't have enough rigidity to fight the quirks of my feet. I am no foot expert so I can't comment on shoe minimalism or whether the traditional elevated heel (which these shoes lack) is evil or whatever else shoe hipsters ramble on about. You also get a lot of ground feel. Chalk it up to ignorance but I'm not sure why this is a good thing I wear shoes so I don't have to worry so much about the ground anyway, it's also not a bad thing.
Overall, recommended.

I had a knee replacement with excellent results discounting the fact I now set off metal detectors. I limped before the surgery and didn't walk exactly right afterwards. Eventually I figured out the surgery had left my leg a little shorter than it had been. My orthopedic doctor gave me an Adjust-a-Lift to try out. It worked well, I especially liked the layered construction that allowed me to easily adjust the amount of lift. I bought more of them and now have them in my dress shoes, work boots and tennis shoes. I even glued one in my sandal. I highly, and without reservation recommend them to anyone who needs a lift in their life.

I read the reviews & bought one. Have 1 leg 1/2" shorter than the other. I placed this into my Dansko clog & by day 2, the layers started separating!! I can not recommend this product in light of this performance. Very dissapointing. The foam rubber in these lifts causes your heel to move up and down in the shoe as you walk. This causes calluses and wears out socks. The leather top means that it cannot be cleaned and perspiration will soak in.However, they are perfect with Birkenstock sandals, as the suede top layer matches the brown suede sandals. For other uses, a firmer heel lift that does not add spongy padding to shoes is preferrable.

I purchased one of these for my husband. His femurs have significant limb length difference, and he have been using regular shoe inserts (as opposed to heel lifts) for a few years. They have been less than adequate, and I decided it was time to explore other options. The medium heel lift fits his size 9 to 9-1/2 shoes perfectly and it stays in place. He has not noticed any problems with the way his foot fits into the shoe either.During the first day, his affected hip was a little sore due to the adjustment. It didn't last longer than the first day though, because he now loves how comfortable the fit is. We've since purchased three more inserts for the rest of his shoes so he doesn't have to fuss with taking them in and out each time he wears a different pair.
The "adjustable" lift is simply three levels of height, and you can choose to remove one or two of the levels. My husband would benefit from one extra level of lift, but I understand that his situation isn't too common & most don't need that much height lift. It would just be nice to have the option.

I found out that I had a leg length discrepancy and was referred to Prosthetics and Orthotics for a lift. My insurance would not pay so the cost of the lift was $200.00. I have been moving this one lift from shoe to shoe because of the price. When I saw the lifts on Amazon I decided to give it a try. Now I am furious with my health care provider. They charged me $200 for something that costs $6.98. I am ordering a few more lifts for my sandals, boots and athletic shoes.
