When your 12 year old has size 18 feet, shoes are hard to find. Got these for less than usual retail price. Shoes are heavy and have a lot of padding like most skate shoes, but we were very pleased to find skate shoes in his size. His feet are still growing, and we wouldn't be surprised to see our son with a size 25 shoe size before he's done, but he's only 5 foot 5, and still growing, and maybe DC will make these in a size 25 eventually. I'd like to start by saying that I DO NOT skate and so cannot comment on their generally intended purposes...

I couldn't find any shoes that fit and were comfortable (I have very odd feet, on the small side [size 8] but very wide with long toes 4E doesn't even cut it) and it has been virtually impossible for me to find shoes that worked for me until I tried on a pair of these in the store after checking this page out and they were PERFECT (tried a pair on in my normal size 8 before this on one of many trips to shoe stores and they were excruciating, so just remember to get the next half-size up!), so I then went home and promptly ordered from here (the store didn't have "Battleship" or size 8.5 and they wanted $10 more).

I just wish DC shoes weren't $60 and up... but its worth it knowing I won't constantly be in pain or discomfort wearing something else!

From now on I won't wear any other shoe again and I don't care if it makes me look like a "poser" because I am in my 20's and don't skate, but these are the only shoes that work for me that aren't old man shoes or bulky work boots and so I'm sticking with them!

In full disclosure I did not buy these from Amazon, had to order them at a local shop. Have only been for a couple of short-medium length runs in these but love them. Light enough and great comfort and cushioning for the clydesdale class (size 14 6'4" 210 here). Only possible issue I have seen is the tongue tends to bunch a little on the inside but so far has not been an issue actually running, can't even feel it really. Very smooth stable run and zero friction issues. They compare very well to other $140+ stability shoes I have bought in the last year or so. As always, get at least a half size bigger for running shoes.

I am new to running and since purchasing the first pair of these sneakers in March 2012, I have done 5 5Ks, 2 10Ks and one 1/2 marathon. I am 5'9", 200 lbs at the moment and I feel these running shoes have saved me some of the aches and pains that are possible when running at this weight.

I am a larger guy (about 210) so did some research on a sturdy shoe for comfort. I am hard on shoes, tending to wear out the outer heal quickly. These shoes fit the bill fine at first. They were, and still are, very comfortable. However I have only 95 miles on them and they are every bit as worn as my last pair had at 310 miles (those were Brooks Ghost 5).

If I had done more research I might have seen that they have an extra layer of sole material on the inside for over pronation (I guess I'm closer to supination). In any event the white material on the outside of the sole looks and wears like marshmallow.

So I personally have to give it a 2 star because I will soon need to buy another (different) pair. They were a bad choice for me. Pronate runners may be better off. They are comfortable, no question.

Delivery was on time the shoe performed as advettised. I am hard to fit I especially like the round toe. The shoe is true to size I usually buy a 12 it fit perfect and is really comfortable on my daily 5 mile walks.

This is not a running shoe plus I do not hike so I could not comment. It is comfortable walking and does not slip on wet grass. They are advertised as water resistent this doesn't mean waterproof they will eventually get wet on the inside but as quick as a regular sneaker. I have the tar color and black I definitely like the black.

These are great sneakers in terms of comfort, style (though I don't see my model here) and material.

I have a wide foot and these fit me great. I got a half size bigger by accident and to be honest there was not much of a noticeable difference between the two sizes.

Here is why I gave these 3 stars: They just don't last!!! And I mean they really don't last. I bought mine in May 2011. It is now October and the sole on the heel part (of both shoes) has holes. The rest of the shoe is fine. I don't/didn't wear these everyday and abuse the heck out of them. I would wear them maybe twice a week. I just walk in them and not incredibly long distances either!

If you want comfort and style get these sneakers but be advised they seem to be made for the type of situation where you wear them to a party that you get to by car which is parked only a few feet away.

The "GoWalk" in the name of these is a little misleading. These are ideal if you're just running a few errands, or heading to the mall. They're ridiculously light and comfortable, and if you get the right size, so breathable (though I'd still recommend socks!). However, if you overor under-pronate, if you have bad knees, if you need extra arch support, or even if you plan on walking a longer distance, I'd recommend a pair of actual walking or running shoes, preferably with a good insole. You definitely won't have room for an orthotic in these.

These are probably the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. They're lightweight and you hardly know you're wearing shoes at all. I walk 4+ miles per day and these shoes have provided blister free support since day 1. However...after 6 weeks, I have worn a hole through the bottom ball of both shoes. The Resalyte material is soft (like a marshmallow)which makes the shoe lightweight and comfortable, but not durable at all. I am a road walker and that obviously takes it's toll on shoes, but my shoes typically last 4-5 months. Overall, these are extremely comfortable and provide necessary support but will not last long if you walk on asphalt. Perfect for nurses who are on their feet all day (like me) indoors.

Well fitting and comfortably lightweight while still feeling sturdy, like a good sneaker should. The mesh body is nice and airy, which is great if you live in a warmer area. You can really feel how much so when going from a hot outdoors area into a well air conditioned indoors one; the cold air will go right through. If you live in an area where it gets much colder in the autumn and winter, these will not be comfortable for the same reason. The build quality overall is also excellent as expected of the brand. These were purchased as a replacement for 2+ year old pair of Skechers.

Although they look alot narrower than the other skechers shoes that I love, like dlites, energy, etc, they still provide the room I need for my wide stubby toes. I wear 8.5 reg but I have short toes which makes my foot need more width in shoes so , it is slightly narrower, but it still fits great and feels fine. Great movement, very light and not clunky at all. I promised myself these would be my pretty gym shoes but they are so comfy I never want to take them off! Given all the rave reviews, I assumed the Skechers Women's Stride Fashion Sneaker would make me feel as if I had clouds taped to my feet. I purchased them because I'd been jogging, walking and cross training with the super comfortable Skechers Women's Shape Ups XF Accelerators Lace-Up Fashion Sneaker (which is one of the lower profile, safer styles of Shape Ups) for the past year or so and wanted a new shoe specifically for jogging (and running) because the Accelerators are a bit squishy/sticky if you use them for jogging (and aren't designed for running).

In that respect, I don't have many complaints. The Stride sneakers are super light and make decent jogging and running shoes, but I really don't find them to be all that comfortable. In other words, I would never walk or cross train in them, much less wear them for non-sport related purposes. In fact, given how hard the soles are and how narrow the width is, I have to wonder whether or not I received a pair of defective shoes.

That written, if you find the sort of hard sole associated with Converse All Star shoes comfortable or are looking for a light weight, inexpensive running shoe, you might like these a lot. However, if you're looking for a truly comfortable, all purpose shoe, I'd recommend looking elsewhere because they look a lot more comfortable than they feel.

These are fantastic boots for the price!

I got through the season wearing these and they're still holding up pretty well. I did notice that the heel is a bit narrow which sometimes causes me to lose my balance during low speeds or when just walking. These cleats seem very durable though. No rips or tears in the material and no cracks have developed yet and I think these will last another couple of seasons!

I bought these a while ago to replace my cleats, and they work great.

I had not played soccer in years. When I came back, I bought cheap Adidas cleats, which was a mistake.

Adidas is a great brand, and probably the best one when it comes to soccer, but the cheap end of their product line is... cheap. Mine were just a flat plastic plate with studs under it, a plastic-ish upper, and laces that wouldn't stay tied. They don't just change the materials on their cheap stuff, it is the whole design. For example, the position of the studs on the sole doesn't match the position of the studs on their mid-to-high end cleats and, in the particular case of the ones I had bought, I felt that the position of the studs left my heel unsupported on the outer side. Because the pitch I play at is hard, it caused my ankles to roll sometimes. How I managed to not really injure myself I don't know, but I had pain in my ankles and lower legs when I was playing, from time to time. The sole was so flat and thin in those cleats that I ended up adding a cushioned insert, which improved things a lot, but never quite solved it, and it ended up taking room from under the toes. The laces would start to give after a while, enough that I could feel my feet going off the side of the base plate. Regardless of how strongly I tightened them up, and how many knots I made, after 20 minutes or so I had to tighten them up again.

Now about the Asics: Playing with these cleats has been a huge improvement.

The good:

They fit perfectly around my feet, no pressure points, and not loose.

The cushioned insert is not needed anymore. The main reason I went to Asics is that they are a running shoe company, and soccer involves a lot of running. I saw Asics' video about their line of soccer cleats on their website and I decided to give these a shot. Glad I did. The whole thing they say there about keeping the heel 10 mm higher went completely unnoticed to me. I was afraid I would roll my ankles, but it hasn't happened.

There is some toe room. Not too much, as it is a soccer cleat, but there is. In comparison with the Adidas it feels like there is a lot of room, because I don't need the cushioned insert anymore. I always put some tape around my big toes when I play a match for extra protection, but I have trained without tape and it is ok.

The sole supports my heel much better. The big secret, I guess, is that the two studs at the very back end have to be apart enough so they stabilize your foot (not the case with the Adidas). Also, the material of the sole is different; it has a more rubbery feeling. Compared to the Adidas, there are more studs, so pressure is more evenly distributed. In my case it works great. Maybe if I was playing at Old Trafford I wouldn't mind the Adidas with less studs.

The upper is synthetic leather. While it is not the top end of materials, it is way better than the plastic stuff I was playing with. It offers some cushion on the touch with the ball, but not too much. My ball control and first touch got better. The noise when I touch the ball has changed to a less dry sound.

The bad:

The laces are not good either. Although better than the laces on my old Adidas, they are too far from being the laces on the Mizunos I run with. I will definitely replace the laces in the near future. Funny I haven't done so yet.

The ugly:

If I had to complain about something, it would be that it was impossible to find these cleats at a store to actually try them on. I would like to have compared the Lethal Flash with the DS Light before buying.

Verdict:

For the price (specially the discounted price I paid at Amazon), I think these are a great choice, if not the greatest. As you go up to $100, $150, there may be some other stuff out there that is as good as or better, but I am very satisfied with these. I will be even more satisfied once I put better laces on them.

For size, add 0.5 to your normal shoe size. I wear 8.5 (US), and my size for these cleats is a 9.0, same as with the Adidas cleats.

I switched to these cleats a few months ago after finding that the Pumas that I have been loyal to for 5-10 years are no longer being made. I found that these cleats provide a minimal amount of ankle support and are not great on hard surfaces. I am an avid soccer and ultimate frisbee player who is used to rapid changes of speed and direction while I play. Within minutes of my first use of these cleats, I realized that my feet were not getting the support they needed while completing these motions. Unfortunately, this has resulted in rolling my ankle on numerous occasions. I believe strongly that these injuries would not have occurred if I had been wearing better cleats. I wouldn't recommend these cleats to aggressive athletes.
