This shoe is by far the best running shoe I have ever had. I went to this saucony from brooks because of pain the brooks adrenaline was causing my lower body. This shoe has a free feel very light wieght, almost a natural barefoot feel when your running. If you need lots of arch support this probably isn't the shoe for you. On the other hand if you have strong arches this shoe is a must!. I'm ordering several pairs just in case they become hard to find!!!!!!

Like most of the reviews on this shoe, I was impressed by its light weight and natural feel. I bought my pair in May 2011. I broke it in during the 100th running of the Bay to Breakers in 2011. Even as a new pair, it felt great and gave my feet that extra bounce.

Before the year (2011) was over, the sides started to get worn out and a hole started to develop (just where the first knuckle of my outermost toe pressed against--on both feet). After more use, the holes got bigger to about 1/2 inch in diameter.

I hope the newer versions have been improved in that area; maybe, just maybe, I'll give them another try.

Have been training in my Saucony Kinvara's (also a great shoe) for the past few months and was looking for a pair w/ a little more cushioning/padding, and this was the next level up in the Saucony line that didn't add too much weight. I prefer running in light weight shoes, less then 10 ounces, so these were perfect. When I first started running, I ran in the Hurricane model, and then dropped down drastically on weight to the Kinvara's. Was debating on running the Philadelphia marathon in my Kinvara's, but took some recommendations from a few friends to run w/ a little bit more cushioning, so I selected the Mirage's. I've been running in these for the past 2 months, around 25-45 miles per week, so far so good. Highly recommended.

I am getting ready to buy my third pair of this shoe. This is not due to poor construction or premature wear, but due to the fact that I wore them out due to the enviroment. They are very light and comfortable, but they did not give up any comfort with them being light. I have spent countless hours pounding concrete, pavement, sand, rock, and mud and they hold up better than any other shoe I have ever had. I tried on the newer versions at my favoriate running store but each time I did not like them as much. They dropped I have a mid to high arch and the plastic arch support is excellent. I never really liked Saucony shoes until they came out with this line. As long as they don't discontinue it, this and my five-fingers is all I plan on running in.

I like this running shoe and the price was right. I have tried many of the Asics and all of the one's I have tried seem to be of the highest quality.

I am a slightly older runner and I get injured more. So far nothing more than occasional aches and pains. This shoe is a great stabilizer. I like the cushioning as well.This shoe weighs more.Better as a trainer than a race shoe. Perhaps I will chose a different one to race in .

My son had seen these shoes in stores, but only in ugly colors. He found them on Amazon and ordering & delivery was easy. He loves how they feel, mom loves how they look. He, like my husband and me, has high arches. They support his arches and are comfortable when he's on his feet all day.

Dissapointed they look cool are comfortable ,enjoy being able to change lenses but it is very windy where i ride my bike and they do not seem to do a very good job at stopping wind from hitting my eyes, would not recomend.

Mizuno Men's Wave Alchemy 12 Running Shoe Reviews

I've always had trouble buying shoes that allow me to be in them for extended periods of time without having foot pain. I have flat feet and tend to over-pronate when I walk or run. I used to wear orthotics all the time, but this is very expensive. After much research, I decided to give these shoes a try. They are really great. I went with the 2E and the toe box is plenty big enough, but the shoe still feels like it fits appropriately (not too loose). They are super light weight. They best feature is the control they provide when walking and running. This really is a great shoe. I'm going to give them a month or so more and if they continue to hold up and feel great, I'll likely buy an extra pair for later.

I'm writing this review after running in the Mizuno Alchemy 12 shoe for 370 miles. I was fitted for this shoe in a running store and paid the full list price for them. I've had no experience with the previous Alchemy versions or the Mizuno brand before this purchase. I'm right under 6' and weight right at 200. The last few years I had been running in a heavy pair of 1201 NB. My running distance has increased 2 to 3 times what I had been running and I needed a shoe that was light but still provided support. I'm running 30-35 miles a week. I run three times a week; a 6 mile, 8 mile and then one long run between 16 to 23 miles. During the course of every week I run on a number of different types of surfaces. My 6 mile runs are all sidewalks and asphalt. My 8 mile runs are 1/2 off road, crossing several creeks, lots of mud but no single trail. My shoes are filthy with sand and mud after this run so I throw them in a cold wash with my running clothes and then air dry. My long runs include a lot of hills and are usually entirely off road with a third of the distance on single track trails. One thing I can't do in these shoes is run without socks. There is a inseam right where the arch of my foot is. The inseam is not coarse or stiff and I can't figure out why it bothers me but I always get a blister from it. For me these shoes have held up great. They are not "trail" shoes but at least 1/2 my time is spent off-road and have done just fine. I have raced three times in them a 10K road race as well as two trail races of 10 and 16 miles. I was very happy with them in all races. I expect that they will still be holding up great in a few weeks when I use them for a 27 mile trail race.

Even with all the washing these shoes have held up remarkably well. No tears, rips, fading on the outside including the shoe strings. The inside and insoles are holding up great. For all the different types of terrain the tread has held up great. I suspect that spending over 1/2 my time off-road has been easier on the soles. The shoes are doing so well that I plan on pushing them to the 500 mile mark before replacing them. At 200 pounds I'm considered a heavy runner and I it's great to get 500 miles out of a pair of shoes.

Thanks to the previous reviewers. I was looking at purchasing a previous version of this same shoe because it was so much cheaper. However, realizing that this model is so much different than the previous versions I decided to stick with this version of this shoe as it is working for me.

This is a motion control shoe for flat feet. The Alchemy 10 and 11 are not for severe overpronation. This explains the hardness and narrowness. It is a great flat foot shoe though!

I wear and really like the Alchemy 11's so I decided to order the 12's as a second pair. The 12's are nothing like the 11's in that they run smaller in the length and width, and do not have the same cushioning. I assume a larger size may have fixed the sizing differences however the 'hardness' of the soles were the deal breaker. They were returned.

First off, I have wide flat feet and I work out at the gym 4x a week doing cross training with high impact cardio. I bought these shoes just for the gym. Sadly it did not work out at the gym because there is absolutely no support at the bottom at all when doing high impact cardio. Within 5 minutes, my feet was in sooo much pain. I never understood how important or the effects of "support" in sneakers were until i put on this pair of shoes and felt the difference. On the other hand, I LOVE LOVE these shoes for everything else like walking or anything non high impact. They are so flexible and comfortable that it feels like you going barefoot. and although i usually prefer wide widths, these i have in regular width but i went up 1/2 a size....So the review is, WONDERFUL for non high impact activities!

These shoes run true to fit and are very comfortable.The fabric is awesome: a matte finish. I wear them for weight lifting,and bootcamp.It does simulate being barefoot. However there are some things I would change: The ribbon type laces started to fray after wearing them twice and they knot up very easily. Also when I do mountain climbers or planks, the toe block (which had a very nice nike free logo in black) has lost its black polish and the white lettering has shown thru..ugh I really liked the all black look. Oh well...I would purchase them again and can't wait to use them for running.

i have the grey green, i have a med. width with wide toes and one foot just enough bigger that if i go up a half of size to a 7 they are not comfortable and if buy true size of 6.5 my larger foot blisters until broke in, with there they are so form fitting that from the first day i wore them in my true size of 6.5 i dont want to wear any other shoes i have, i dont even take them off when i get home they are so comfy and i spend an hour or more working out a day between the treadmill and my weights and it makes the incline much easier as they are so flexable that using heel toe is no effort, just natural, got these for working out but i wear them to work and everywhere i go, they are super cute and get lots of remarks on them and so many choices for colors! I am getting another pair as i fear i will wear these out wearing them so much.

this shew is awesome for my daily rotten! they are light and extremely fixable, it took me a little time to get used to but over time I found them to be comfortable and blister free. My only concern is they don't have the best arch support for strenuous exercise like running. But over all its worth your money

This is my second pair of Vibrams and they fit and feel great. The quick lace systems is a whole lot better than the velcro strap that I had before. I ordered this pair one-size smaller than my preivious pair becuase they tend to strech within time and my old pair was loose and uncomfortable no matter how tight the velcro strap was. As soon as I tried on the one-size smaller Vibrams I figured out that my previous pair was the wrong size all along. They felt snug at first but as soon as I started to walk they felt right. I tried on my old pair of Vibrams at a local shop, got my size down and ordered them online becuase they did not have the styles I was looking for. If its your first time ordering Vibrams I recommened trying them on at a local shop then ordering them on Amazon becuase they are way cheaper. Just remember that the fabric tends to strech within time, so maybe going one-size smaller might be better for the long run.

Took a chance on these shoes as I normally wear a 41 in Sidi and these Pearl izumi are 40.5. I just wear a thin sock and am ok.

After a short break-in period, these are now my most comfortable shoes. I just used them for my first century ride and I never thought much about the shoes they were that comfortable.

Extremely lightweight and efficient for power too. I would buy another pair if I could get the same price again.

I purchased these shoes after looking at dozens! Most were heavy and oddly shaped and very clunky. This shoe is light weight and actually fits nicely to the foot....perhaps a wider foot would find it uncomfortable but I am a medium width and it was a good fit. I did go a size smaller for the best sizing. I used the shoe the first time for trekking in the Galapagos islands. The terrain there is rocky, landings were often wet, we were always getting on and off the zodiak and lava was a major was ever present on our walks. The shoes were comfortable, they provided excellent support and they dried quickly. These things were very important to me since I had sprained my ankle just before arriving on the islands. For the 12 days that I wore these shoes, my ankle never bothered me.

But, I have a wide foot, I can wear most medium shoes, but have to be careful with shoes like this. So I ordered a size up. They are fine and a fun little "hang around" shoe, but a bit big. Since then, I got a beige pair in my true size and they really fit well. So, I feel confident now in ordering more TOMs at my regular size.

I wore them while spending time with my grandchildren ( 5yrs., and 18mo.) So, needless to say, I put on many miles in the back yard playing, at the pool, and shopping with their mommy! The shoes were easy to brake in and very comfy for the whole day! I had many compliments on them!

Perfect fit. I got them a half size smaller than what I normally wear after reading the previous reviews. The color was easy to use with anything I wore. the cushion and arch support was very comfortable.

I have always been very picky when it comes to shoes, but I saw similar ones on another lady, and I asked her what brand they were, went on Amazon.com and bingo!

I bought these to replace the size 8/9 crocs from the previous summer for my now 4-year-old son. These are larger in size than I would like, but he loves them and is happy to have shoes he can easily slip on by himself. He wore them all day at SeaWorld in San Diego and all over L.A. this summer without any complaints. He wears them on the weekends and on outings, but not to Pre-K -because they're somewhat large, I prefer that he wear trainers to school. These Super Hero Squad crocs have Iron Man and Thor on one shoe and Captain America and Hulk on the other.

While these shoes are quite comfortable, I thought I could be able to use them for long walks outdoors, but the cushion is not quite what I thought it might be. Not that they mislead me, this was my own internal bias.

Having said that, they are every bit as comfortable as the Go Walks for walking around the house and yard, and even around the block. I just personally need a little more cushion for longer "fitness" type walks.
