My wife needed a pair of running shoes... got her these and she is very excited about walking, running and riding in them!I am a nurse and my favorite tennis shoes to wear to work have been pumas! I was on the hunt for a white shoe without any mesh on the top; these fit the bill! They are very comfortable and quite "breathable" for a leather shoe! I can wear these 12 or more hours and not be in pain at the end of a busy work day! They wipe off quite nicely if soiled. I highly recommend these tennis shoes! However, they are labeled as a "running shoe"... as a runner, I do not think I would choose these as they are somewhat stiff for a running shoe. Overall, a great buy at a great price!

Review of Saucony Men's Type A5 Running Shoe

As early as my first stride I could tell that these running shoes are perfect for me. They are lightweight and very comfortable, very well vented and the out sole provides tremendous traction.
I got a great feel of the ground, which I like because it helps me maintain good form, and the almost inexistent heel-to-toe drop helps your landing and toe-off a lot. My only complaint is that the edge of the sole is flat and stiff, which doesn't help with lateral motion and I could even imagine causing an ankle injury if the foot slides inside the shoe because of it.
Now, for some warnings: first, this shoe already requires good running form. A heel-striker will suffer, because there is only a very small cushioned zone in the center of the heel, and it's not as cushioned as with regular trainers (judge by the thickness of the sole). These are not minimalistic shoes either: the out sole is designed for traction and protection, not for barefoot-like sensations, so it is not as flexible as the sole on the Nike Free 3.0 or the Adidas AdiPure Gazelle. Finally, the upper is not protective in any way. It is designed for reduced weight and ventilation, so it's little more than a thin piece of cloth on top of your foot, which is should be more than enough if you're running on the track or a decent road.
Preferred by my son who is a collegiate runner.
He is actually 11-1/2 but ordered size 11.

Very cute sneakers. They look stylish and trendy. They're very confortable and feel extremely lightweight. Great for power walks. True to size but snug fit. Great quality. These are my first ASICS sneakers and I'm very happy with my purchase. I would definitely recommend.

I have been very pleased with these shoes. They are lightweight, yet the soles feel sturdy and offer good support. I really like these shoes so far... only a few runs in but the feel is great. They are especially good for my foot with a bunion there is a lot of give in the toe box. This is my 3rd pair of ASICS in as many years. I always had trouble with running shoes hitting my ankle bone and rubbing my heels wrong, until I found the GEL-Instinct33 series from ASICS. I LOVE these shoes!! The fit is great and the extra cushion on the heels makes it feel like I'm running on clouds.Cheap New Balance Women's WR1224 Running Shoe

I've been a NB runner for years in this seriesfirst 1221, then 1222. I skipped the 1223 and bought 1224 this year. Be wary on buying from the internet b/c the sizing on this shoe is different than previously. In both the 1221 and 1222, I was an 8. In this shoe, I'm a 9! I ordered the 8.5 and now I have to return it-even that's too small. The toe box in particular seems a lot tighter than on previous shoes. So make sure to order the right size for you.
The 1224 has more cushioning that most stability shoes that I have tried, and rides very well.
I've logged my first 100 miles on these shoes and they're holding up beautifully. They are a bit more in price, but I figure I'll be able to wear these through 400-500 miles, versus trading out at 300, so it's worth it to me.

These shoes are great. One thing you may not know about New Balance is that the higher the number in the model number, the greater the support is. These are top of the line. If you have dealt with foot problems or injuries, you will certainly appreciate the support these offer.Best Deals on New Balance Women's WR1224 Running Shoe
I typically run 15 miles a week and have plantar fasciitis. I've been wearing the 1224 for over a month now, and have experienced no flare-ups. Compared to previous NB running shoes -I was wearing the NB 764s and have owned NB running shoes for over 10 years now...replacing every 9 months or sothis model is noticably lighter and fits really well. I would highly recommend.Honest reviews on New Balance Women's WR1224 Running Shoe
If you're in the "Athena" category of women runners, this is an excellent running shoe for you. Most women's running shoes are designed to support a weight of no more than about 140-150 pounds. If you're over that weight (like a great percentage of the American public, since the US average female weight is 163 lbs!), then you'll want a shoe that is built a bit tougher. The stability design of this shoe, combined with the superb cushioning, makes it just about perfect. The 1224 has more cushioning that most stability shoes that I have tried, and rides very well.

I was skeptical at first, but one workout and I was convinced. I've gone through many shoes and this one does it all. It puts my Nike and Fila runners to shame. It fits a woman's foot as it should a little wider in the toe-box and hugs the heal. I have had major foot surgery, a broken ankle, sprains, and more. The New Balance WR1224 provides ample cushioning support just where you need it most. Your ankle is supported and the ball of your foot is totally protected from impact. It's fantastic for ladies with sensitive feet. I would highly recommend this shoe to women for both running and high-impact aerobic workouts. The shoe is so comfortable it makes my cardio sessions easier to get through! I'm getting a second pair just so I can have an extra one on hand. A+++ for the WR1224 from New Balance.Best PUMA Women's Speeder Mesh 2 Running Shoe Deals

Cute shoe, but not exactly what I was expecting. Ordered these in my normal size and they're too small. Need a 1/2 size up but sadly, it's not available.
The shoes mold to your feet very easily (mine look all warped, but fit my feet perfectly).
The mesh is nice because it allows your feet to breathe a little.
Only Cons I can think of are:
If the ground/grass is wet then it just soaks through the mesh, but it dries quickly.
Because of the outsole (bottom) design stuff does get stuck in them a lot pebbles, grass, mud, etc, so just make sure you wipe your feet off well before entering a building!

Very comfortable shoes! They arrived looking slightly dirty, which I wasn't thrilled about. They aren't as cute as I thought they would be, but what they lack in style they make up for in comfort. Zigtech's are the best shoes I have ever owned for running. They are the ONLY shoes that have prevented my knee from hurting when I run. I don't even have to wear my brace. I cannot express how great these shoes are. For the reviewers that complained while using them for Zumba and Jazzercise you need cross trainers. They are built for running and walking. As for the person that said they fell apart. I've had mine for a year and although the soles are worn from running they still look great. I can't wait to get a new pair!

Bought this pair of shoes from Academy. Used them for work because my other shoes kept giving me cramps in my feet. I used them for almost a year and the concrete surface I wear them on has worn them down and needed a new pair. I have had no problem with these shoes. They have been wonderful to wear. I couldn't find them in a local store so I went online. I was very happy to order another pair. I don't usually like paying a lot of money on shoes but these shoes are worth it. Very comfortable, the Spira really does make a difference. Only comment is to make sure you order the next size up from what yo normally wear. I had previously purchased a pair of my size from a different place and found they hurt after wearing and walking for a considerable time. I ordered these as 11's rather that 10.5's and found them to fit perfect and even after a 10 hour day of walking, my feet felt great!
stand for 12 hours at work, mostly in the same spot, and am overweight, and my knees, ankles, and feet are not sore at all when wearing these, 3 weeks in now and not showing one bit of wear from usuage, thanks Spira for making these, will absolutely buy these again next time.....

I am in love with these shoes. I work in a giant warehouse walking on an average of 20 miles per day in a 10 hour shift. In the last six months these are the third pair of shoes that I purchased specifically for this job and all the walking that I do on hard cement floors. The first pair were $100+ Nike Air and were comfortable for about two weeks when the hard floors seemed to just take their toll on them, new inserts didn't even seem to help and I basically felt I had wasted $100. I decided to shop around and not spend so much if good shoes weren't even going to survive all this walking. I purchased some $45 Filas and actually got a couple good months out of them alone and then even extended that with new inserts. I wanted to find something that didn't have the breakdown that these shoes had without spending an arm and a leg. After a short search it came between the GravityDefyer and these Spira's. At $65 I went with these. (some vendors had the exact same shoes for much much more) I have had them almost three months now and feel very little difference than when I first wore them. The insides are intact, a little wear but no material rips or breakage yet like the other shoes had after a much shorter period. They breath very well also. I totally recommend them for anyone who does a lot of walking or has back issues. I have had lower back surgery and all the walking would remind me of that everyday. These shoes have not eliminated that completely but have made it a non issue. I have only found one drawback in these shoes, because of the metal springs in them they do set off the metal detectors where I work so if you work in a secure facility or go to the airport a lot you may need to reconsider these. I do plan to purchase another pair when these do wear out.Best Deals on Spira Men's Valencia Athletic Walking Shoe
Bought a second set of these after having the first for a short while because they fit well and were very comfortable for walking and playing. (Used one outside and one only for treadmill.) But the spring does not last. You'll find yourself adding cushion inserts after a while. After 6 mos, the life of the cushioning is pretty much exhausted and the shoe is no longer very comfortable and the front toe portion of the sole is starting to tear away from the shoes and you're suddenly back on Amazon looking for a replacement.Honest reviews on Spira Men's Valencia Athletic Walking Shoe

They fit perfectly. My only complaint is they feel a little heavy when walking around. I have very bad feet and hoped the springs in the show would help with the impact. I didn't notice the difference until I wore my regular shoe. They do make a difference. They were not the miracle shoe I had hoped for as my feet are in still the same amount if pain. I think next time I would like to try the the Spira shoes with three springs in them.Review of Polo Ralph Lauren Men's Chad Athletic Shoe

Pros
These shoes are the lightest and most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned. The rubber material on the bottom of the shoe do an excellent job of cushioning your feet from walking or running of pavement. I wore these shoes to Disney world and averaged about 8+ miles a day walking and the end of my two week trip my feet and ankles didn't hurt at all. Due to the softness of the material on the bottom of the shoe I was worried they would wear out fast, but they haven't shown any excessive wear in the three months of wearing them.
Cons
Rocks and twigs get stuck in between the gaps of the bottom of the shoe which can be annoying.
Sizing
The sizing of these shoes are true to size and I found them to be the same as all my other Nike shoes.
Do not buy it!
It is incredibly painful to wear and other people have reported a similar experience. You feel a terrible pinch where your big toe connects to your foot every time you walk. If I could return them to Nike for a refund, I would.
You have been warned.

I was skeptical of these shoes--especially for the price--but I LOVE THEM. Wore them for the first time on a trip to Vegas and they held up perfectly. I put many miles of walking through sin city and had them on 18 hours at a stretch. No issues at all. Thinking about getting another pair just because. Even talked my wife into buying a pair and she had the same experience.

The shoes arrived in seemingly good shape and my son thought they were very comfortable, however, after only 3-1/2 months of wear, the entire side of both shoes completely ripped out down the outside of the shoes during a workout. It is inconceivable to me that these shoes could rip out like this after such a short time without having some major defect. I contacted the Rebook company and they were absolutely no help so I would never recommend purchasing any shoes like this. They look good but do not last! The shoes still look good, but are not wearable due to the huge gaping holes on the outside of both shoes! A huge waste of our money and we are extremely disappointed!!Honest reviews on Reebok Men's Zignano Burn Running Shoe

Review of ZEMGEAR Men's Oxygen 2 Ninja Split

on Monday, July 21, 2014
I am a really big fan of ZEMgear and their efforts to develop great barefoot footwear. I have used and reviewed several models of their original Ninja style models. These have very thin soles, providing the best under foot feel of any shoe, only the Sockwa Dojo meant for indoor use is similar. They have a wear-through and occasionally a puncture-through problem if you hit a sharp small stone on an otherwise soft surface. I crave maximum foot-feel and have found several ways to maintain the originals and I have hundreds of miles on each of my pairs.
However, the O2 Oxygen, part of this year's second generation of designs by ZEMgear has a far more robust and resistant sole, with only a tiny bit less foot sensation. I own VFF Classics and Moccasins and neither has the feet-directly-on-the-ground feel of the O2. The thinnest VFF is 3X as thick as these new ZEM soles. I run and hike in the southwest and have hit patches of glass and goatheads (a nasty thorn that can flat mountain bike tires!). While you can easily feel these thorns embedded in the sole, (I can tell how many there are from feel alone) they have never penetrated my foot.
I recently used the O2s to run and rock scramble to the top of a volcanic plug mountain on very sharp and rough stone with no noticeable wear despite very heavy use. The other reviewer complained of the heal on his slipping down and off, which is new to me, I have never had this problem in any of my pairs. Nor have any of my friends who have started using ZEMs. I would guess that his heal anatomy must be a little different. I know that VFFs always have a tightening cord across the heal tendon to secure them and I find it constantly irritating unless loosened. I would suggest sewing on a similar modification to his ZEMs if his heal-slip persists.
Bottom line, if you are looking for a great "barefoot" shoe, with zero heal rise, no artificial arch support, and no toe rise, these are perfect and cost 1/3 of their only competitors from Vibobarefoot. I personally like the split-toe ninja models because this helps stabilize the shoe laterally without needing a tight size. This isn't so important if just using these shoes to run, but in the gym and martial arts studio it's very important.
Go to their facebook page to find a community of people exploring minimal footwear sports to get a sense if these shoes are for you. I feel everybody should experience barefooting but your initial footwear is critical, if your first experience is painful you will give up before you get to the pleasures of touching the earth. Enjoy the barefoot experience for yourself.
I bought a pair of Merrel Trail Gloves when those came out, and love them, too. Toe feel is surprisingly good, the soles are made by Vibram, but I missed the 'freer' feel of the Five Fingers.
Then I bought the Zems. PERFECT. These are now my everyday shoe and I run in a mix of these and my Trail Gloves. They fit like a glove and the flex of the shoe keeps my toes from ever getting jammed, even on long runs. Lateral stability is surprisingly good for such a simply constructed shoe, and ground feel is AWESOME, actually better than my thinnest Vibrams (Classics). They're super light, and the split toe is as easy to put on as a round toe. I have never had any issues with the heel slipping off.
I prefer to wear these without socks, but I do recommend buying some Injini toe socks or other flip flop/ split toe socks for longer runs. I find that when my feet sweat a lot they can get slippery inside and start to feel loose (the also loosen a bit as they warm up, so if it feels a bit snug at first, it's probably a good fit), particularly noticeable when running hills. Socks help. I actually found I like the toeless Injinji yoga socks on long runs (as long as the pads of your toes are fairly tough); they don't slip and I get great toe feel, especially nice on hilly trails.
When the do get nasty inside (as any shoe worn without socks will), they're super easy to clean. Machine wash and air dry. I flip them inside out and wash them with my clothes. I've done it half a dozen times so far with no noticeable ill effect.
If you have 'normal' feet, meaning equal size and with each toe shorter than the last, definitely try on a pair of Vibrams (NEVER buy Vibrams without trying on, even if you own a pair in a different model, the sizes are NOT the same in all models). For the right foot, they're great. But for me, the Zems are perfect. And cheaper, too!
Also good to note: I purchased the all black split toes, and haven't noticed any stares or received any questions about the shoes. Seems the split toe isn't as noticeable as I initially feared (although those who I've shown the shoe to have exclaimed that it looks like I have faun feet!) If you're worried about getting weird looks or comments, I would say stick with the all black combination.
EDIT: Decided to update this, and let everyone know that after 5 months of hard wear, these were done :( I loved my Zems, and wore them all over -a trip to San Diego put many many miles on these shoes! I did begin weight training with them, and they were fantastic in that arena as well. Unfortunatly, the toes on both shoes got holes worn through where the seams lay. It is possibly just the way I walk that caused this wear, so I don't discourage others from purchasing.
Fit is great for me. I have a narrow heel with wide forefoot. I also have a longer second toe, so Vibram Five Fingers don't work well for me. The lycra hugs my heel perfectly and there is plenty of give around the toes to allow for splaying without any pinching. The bands offer subtle support that keeps the shoes from slipping around.

I am a longtime barefoot enthusiast/runner and have been wearing Vibram Five Fingers since early 2008. I love my Vibrams BUT, I have somewhat odd feet. My left is almost a whole size larger than my right, and I have long second and third toes on both feet. Sizing is always a compromise for me, and with my Vibrams it is particularly tough. If I wear the ideal size for my (larger) left foot, my right fifth toe tends to very uncomfortably slip out of it's place in the shoe and jam. I have to compromise with a smaller size, which actually feels like a perfect fit initially, but after a couple miles of running the pressure on the second and third toes of my left foot gets increasingly uncomfortable. I wanted so badly for them to be the perfect shoe, but with my feet, they just aren't.I bought a pair of Merrel Trail Gloves when those came out, and love them, too.

I'm not a runner, but I do go on very long walks with my dog, and also am starting a weight training program. I have always found tennis shoes uncomfortable, and lately I've even begun getting sore knees anytime I wear them (I'm 25 and completely healthy, so that isn't normal). I was looking for an alternative active shoe when I found Vibrams, and then Zems. I ultimately went with these due to Vibram's complicated sizing system, and I am very happy with my decision. I wore them all weekend, and despite some slight soreness in my calves initially, these have been incredibly comfortable to wear when walking/jogging with the dog and running errands. I haven't started weight training yet, but I'll update my review once I've started so any lifters out there who are also interested in the barefoot movement can get a tailored review.

I purchased these to replace my Vivobarefoot Ultra's, which I like a lot. Vivobarefoot was my go-to barefoot brand, but they are expensive. For the price, you could get two or three pairs of these Zem's. The Oxygen's offer an even closer to barefoot feeling with just enough protection on the bottom. I'm not certain they would be durable enough for heavy outdoor use, but they are perfect for indoor workouts. I use them for kettlebell practice on a rubberized surface.Fit is great for me.
