Adidas Men's Powerband 3.0 Golf Shoes Review

Ecco Street Premier ($140)

In comparison to the Powerband 3.0:

Adidas Tour 360 ($180 Similar but slightly heaver, and I don't think they look as good.

Adidas Adipure ($250 Very very heavy (all leather), always look dirty, difficult to clean (I have white)

Foot Joy Contours ($90) Really high off the ground, make my feet sore on the bottom, look goofy.

Ecco Street Premier ($140) Zero stability, too wide, no support, probably wore them 3 or 4 times total, now i just wear them when I mow the lawn, also look goofy in black.

Cleaning the Powerband 3.0:

I put all 4 pairs in the washing machine for 2 hours with bleach and detergent. These come out brand new every time. I bet my oldest pair has been through the wash 8 times.

Sizing:

I think that they run true to size. I usually get wide but I have a pair of medium that I am able to wear without a problem.

My Review:

The Powerband 3.0 are by far more comfortable and better looking than any other pair of shoes I own. I do not believe that there is any down side to these shoes. I will purchase these as long as Adidas offers them with the same quality and comfort.

Wear and tear:

I think that if your going to play 3 or more times per week it is worth it to have 2 pairs. Color is not important but allowing the leather to dry naturally is. Rotating between 2 pairs of shoes will extend the life of the shoes beyond wearing each pair every day until they wear out.

Shoe colors and my opinion about how they look:

white/white/black

black/black/silver

Basically these are solid white and black. I wear them mostly with pants. Remember to wear black socks with black shoes otherwise when you look down at the ball you'll be constantly reminded that you look like a goof ball.

white/silver/green My favorite color combo! They go with much more than you would expect. I don't know why but they do. Maybe because the green has a little blue in it? Or the silver toe is neutral.

white/blue/silver

white/black/silver

The blue is navy blue so its really close to black. I know that they also come in dark green. I think that they look better with shorts than pants. Usually I stick to the the shoes that have matching leather and toe colors with pants.

Closer to the ground:

Adidas has a marketing campaign about how close to the ground their shoes are. I think it matters a little bit. I noticed that Foot Joys are not that close to the ground. I feel as though being closer to the ground provides me better balance. However, it could all be in my head.

I was a little apprehensive about the comfort level of this shoe before buying it because I've always worn FootJoy's (and they've always been comfortable). However, after playing 5 rounds, not only have they proven to be comfortable, but I feel they are actually more functional toward my Golf swing. I tend to sway in my golf swing, but these shoes help me keep a better balance during my swing. I will usually let the weight shift from the inside of my right foot to the right side of my right foot during my backswing, but these shoes definitely help keep me in place.

This is a great shoe. Last night I ran 7 miles in them for my first run and had no problems. I don't have any intention of changing to another shoe. I would suggest getting 1/2 size smaller than normal size because they seem to run a little big. I like the bigger toe box on these.

I really like the colors of this mostly aqua shoe, which is why I bought it. I listened to reviews and didn't go up a half size like I usually do for running shoes. I'm usually an 8.5 or a 9 in shoes depending on how they run and I went with an 8.5 and I have plenty of room to wiggle my toes (which I like) while my ankle still feels nice and secure (with the right socks). This is not a minimalist shoe, in fact the sole is actually pretty thick and helps me land mid foot so you have a natural forward gate (great for beginners). I have gone on a few 3 miles runs in them and have worn them casually with no rubbing or blisters.

These shoes are fantastic. They fit great and are comfortable. Shoes have a little extra room which allows for feet to expand during wear but are not too big. They offer great support and comfort. I would purchase these again.

The item isn't too bad. My shoes were too long so these help my heels fit a little better. If it was a half size bigger, it would probably make it fit. Mine is a full size bigger. While it definitely helps, it doesn't work as well as I expected.

Also, whenever I slide in and out of my shoes, the grip would peel a little, so I would have to hold it down with my finger so that the grips stay on the shoes. If my shoes were only half a size smaller, I imagine it would peel off everytime I insert my feet in there. My shoes are penny loafers, for what it's worth.

Cheap Nike Men's NIKE REVOLUTION RUNNING SHOES

I use these shoes for my daily workouts, which include a combination of weight lifting and cardio. The shoes are comfortable and offer much support. So far they've felt good when running, although I don't usually run more than a couple of miles on a treadmill. I have had them for about 6 months and they're holding up just fine. I've had these shoes for about a week now and I've used them for my main shoes, when I go to the gym, and even running. Lightweight and comfortable! I've actually gotten a couple of compliments on these shoes already.

Also being Nike, I'm hoping the material is great and they do have a 2 year factory warranty on their shoes from the date they were made. You can find the date usually on the right shoe, inside lip on most of their shoes.

In full disclosure I did not buy these from Amazon, had to order them at a local shop. Have only been for a couple of short-medium length runs in these but love them. Light enough and great comfort and cushioning for the clydesdale class (size 14 6'4" 210 here). Only possible issue I have seen is the tongue tends to bunch a little on the inside but so far has not been an issue actually running, can't even feel it really. Very smooth stable run and zero friction issues. They compare very well to other $140+ stability shoes I have bought in the last year or so. As always, get at least a half size bigger for running shoes.

I am new to running and since purchasing the first pair of these sneakers in March 2012, I have done 5 5Ks, 2 10Ks and one 1/2 marathon. I am 5'9", 200 lbs at the moment and I feel these running shoes have saved me some of the aches and pains that are possible when running at this weight.

It has been a year, so I'm buying a second pair a steal at $95! And they have other colors other than something you would see Ronald McDonald wearing!

I am a larger guy (about 210) so did some research on a sturdy shoe for comfort. I am hard on shoes, tending to wear out the outer heal quickly. These shoes fit the bill fine at first. They were, and still are, very comfortable. However I have only 95 miles on them and they are every bit as worn as my last pair had at 310 miles (those were Brooks Ghost 5).

If I had done more research I might have seen that they have an extra layer of sole material on the inside for over pronation (I guess I'm closer to supination). In any event the white material on the outside of the sole looks and wears like marshmallow.

So I personally have to give it a 2 star because I will soon need to buy another (different) pair. They were a bad choice for me. Pronate runners may be better off. They are comfortable, no question.

awesome shoe, I wear a 10 and a half in hiking boots and casual shoes and this fits perfectly in an 11, So comfortable that the nike free runs that I had tried on and ordered at Dicks had to be returned as they felt like uncomfortable bricks after wearing the Brooks, they also are more comfortable than my Asics Gels and New Balance which have always been my go to running and all purpose shoes

Excellent transition for a beginner level runner towards minimal shoe running. I am 1.81m and 87kgs, so it suited my transition away from heel strike running. Average runs about 5km per trip at 26mins. However I do find that the groves on the sole do seem to leaves the durability in question. I have used the shoe for almost 6mths now. Still doing fine but I'm not expecting it to last past 1.5 years.

Cheap ASICS Men's GEL-170 TR Leather Training Shoe

I love these shoes. They are very comfortable. Two years ago CR rated the Asics TR-150 as a best buy. I bought 2 pair of the TR-150's right before I saw the article(total chance) and was very happy with them. I'm a nurse and am on my feet 9-10 hours a day, and one pair were the shoes i wore to work. These are the new version of the 150's and i couldn't be happier. Look great feel GREAT!

If the 150-tr was avaialable I would have gotten another pair of those, I liked them (fit/finish/wear). With +/a month of use I'm happy with the 170-tr too and would get these again. Overall, 150-tr to 170-tr, if you liked one you should be happy with the other IMHO.

The upper toe (still "leather", not mesh, and a little longer), the tongue and the lace area are very similar. There is a bit less padding on the 170 interior up around the achilles/ankle area, OK though as it feels a little more snug or narrow and more support compared to a well used pair of 150. The inner and arch appear the same. The sole has a different design, similar tread at the toe to ball of foot, the heel tread is a different pattern with a change in proportion of the material color, of course don't know if the densities are different or just the color. Feels the same walking/jogging.

I wore Asics wrestling shoes years ago in high school and college and was always impressed with the quality and fit of the wrestling shoes. Fast forward to 2006 when I purchased my first pair of Asics tennis shoes. They fit well and quickly became my favorite shoes to wear. I liked them so much I purchased a second pair to have "just in case". Well, as luck would have it my second pair fell victim to a deck project and became covered in stain and I needed a new pair. I looked to find the same type of shoe that I had but had no luck. I knew I wanted a leather tennis shoe and I wanted it to be an Asics brand. I searched Amazon and found the Gel-170 Leather Training shoe. I was dubious at first because it wasn't all leather, it had synthetic leather components (I'm not a fan of synthetic leather). Well, they were Asics and the price was right, so I thought I'd give them a try. Well, I was very pleasantly surprised! They fit really well (as I'd hoped they would) and are super comfortable. I have had no trouble with them and would recommend them to anyone who asked. I do plan on ordering another pair when these need replaced.

Best Mizuno Women's Wave Elixir 6 Running Shoe Deals

I just received the Mizuno Elixir 6 this morning. I ordered it in the Blue Atoll/Wild Lime-blue and it is pretty stunning and loud (in a great way). I took them out for a 3 mile run and I was pleasantly surprised at how flexible the sole was and how light the shoe was.

This is my second pair of Mizunos. I have a pair of the Wave Inspire that I also like. Both the Wave Inspire and the Elixir are great for pronation. They are also quite bouncy. I feel that the Elixir feels a bit more "intuitive" to my feet than the Wave Inspires are, and I also think that they are a bit lighter. I also think that the Elixir is one of Mizuno's sleeker shoes, if you're into that. The toe area is very giving even though the shoe is not technically wide.

Not only are these the coolest looking running shoes, in a sea of gray, black, and white shoes, but they feel great! Super light and airy with Mizuno's wave technology. They have just the right balance of firmness and cush. I wear an 8.5 street shoe and got these in a 9. That gives me just a little more roominess in the toe box which seems perfect! Ran 3 miles with them out of the box yesterday and cannot wait for my next run tomorrow!

This is by far my favorite running shoe! I have tried many....but am going to stop looking unless they stop making this one. It is cute-but also very comfortable. I have wide feet so I have trouble finding shoes that work very good for me. But this one leaves plenty of room and is lightweight too which is great. I use it for everything-short and long runs-and haven't been disappointed. Seems to hold up pretty well so far as far as wear and tear as well.

I had been running in the Wave Alchemy for over a decade, but decided to go with a more neutral, lighter weight shoe. I also used to have a lot of ankle problems. Now that I'm wearing the Elixir, all my ankle problems have disappeared and I just feel faster when I'm wearing them. I also love the great colors. Order a size larger than your regular shoe size.

Bought these last weekend from a Nike outlet. Fairly lightweight for a running shoe, and very comfortable to wear. My guess would be that the red/orange will not stay clean long since I normally do my running on an unpaved trail. Even if you are not going to run in them they seem to be great shoes to wear around on a normal basis. Overall, I'm satisfied with these so far.
