These are kids' shoes, but I buy them for my mom, a senior with some mobility issues (she uses a walker or a cane). These shoes are comfortable to wear and give support to her ankles, so she tires out less. The velcro strip at the top not only helps with the snug fit, but also hold the laces up so if they become undone they won't trip her as she moves about.

The sneakers came just as described, new and never worn. We put roller skates on the bottom and my son absolutely adores them.
