I have a wide foot and wear orthotics; this shoe is sufficiently wide for the arch inserts. It is also seemingly made of very good materials and put together well. I have another one of their shoes, a running shoe, that is just as stable.
I am 61 with bad knees, so I am not running...but can walk better with supportive shoes. These shoes are a bit heavier than NB which I have used a lot in the past.
I wear 15 wide. These are true to size, length and width. I removed the foot bed to use my professionally made arch insert; when I removed the foot bed, there was another thinner foot bed in there apparently to use with arch inserts? Anyway, most shoes have an unfinished base under the removable foot bed, these do not. An example of their better craftsmanship.
I think that Aetrex is going to be my choice from now on. I highly recommend them for anyone with orthotics.
