I've been wearing NB 990's for about a decade now b/c of my wide feet and their comfort. They now cost more than $150 on amazon so I saw a pair of M1690 Minimus' that had my width, advertised a lighter weight, and had a more stylish design. I got 'em in the mail today and they look & fit perfectly! I have found my new shoe.

This shoe has been an incredible surprise on my 8 km runs on dirt trails and grass as well as pavement. Fits very snug and tight, with the exact amount of support and padding it feels like a track and field running shoe very nimble and with incredible grip. I will buy a second one before they go up in price. As good as the inov-8 talon212 and f-lite195

I loved this shoe!

First: Comfort abounds! Some shoes "get loose" or "open" a bit at the mouth after you have been running not these. There is a "pillow" that surrounds your ankle at the mouth/opening that creates a comfortable but snug fit.

At first, when I saw the rubber style cleats I thought these will slide on wet surfaces. NOT.

I ran in these shoes 3 times and I am 200 pound runner (5'9").

GREAT: loose terrain, pavement wet/dry, concrete wet/dry, uneven surfaces, uphill.

BAD: wet grass, the sliding is not bad but it is still evident.

I love these shoes.

What a great shoe... first run was 6 miles... no issues.... looks great too.. my 85 y.o. mother in law raved about how nice they looked... maybe that isn't a selling point... never mind..

Due to wide feet, I've always worn New Balance. However, this shoe is the most comfortable ever, looking forward to another pair.
