Both my husband and I have these shoes and we wear them to run on trails through fields and woods. These shoes have extended our running season through the cold rains of fall and light snow of early winter. They are a little stiff compared to my regular running shoes, but worth it when I think of the alternative the dreaded treadmill.

I like these shoes so much I ordered a second pair for when these wear out. The toe box is wide and the heal does not ride up i.e. they fit great. 8.5 medium is perfect for my "sturdy" wide feet. I live near Seattle and so far, several months, they are still waterproof.

I ordered these because I didn't like all the bright colors they are putting on the shoes on the market and these seemed a little less LOUD. However, my boyfriend told me he thought they looked like guys shoes so I sent them back. They were very comfortable though and felt like they had a nice arch support.
