This is the second pair of ASICS Women's GEL-Trabuco 13 Running Shoe that I have purchased and I love the shoe. I use it for general wear (I am not a trail runner) and what I find terrific is the "breathability", support and comfort. I walk a lot (hilly) and I live in the Tropics always above 30 degrees with high humidity. Because of a knee problem I don't wear thongs or sandals and this is my solution. Note that I do swop the insoles for something slightly better!

I bought these shoes in Platinum/Black/Violet because I was looking for trail-running shoes in a darker color. I have had Asics in the past (the GT-2110), and loved them-so I thought sticking with Asics would be a good idea.

Unfortunately, the Gel-Trabuco 13 fits NOTHING like the GT-2110. I ordered an 8-1/2 in a B width, which is usually my size, but the shoes were too small, both in length and width. I sent them back, and ordered a 9 B. When they came, they were definitely roomier, so I took them with me on a trip to California, hoping for the best.

I used the shoes for walking around in San Francisco and LA, and after ten days of walking in them, I'm sorry I got them. They make my feet hurt-somehow, they still feel tight, and the right one particularly rubs against the inside of my ankle and makes a red place, no matter how I tie them. Also they don't feel nearly as cushioned underfoot as the GT-2110's.

I'm hoping that the Gel-Trabuco shoes will soften up a bit with wear, since it's now too late to return them... but the GT-2110's felt great right out of the box. It's also true, as other reviewers have mentioned, that the laces are VERY short... I can tie them, but only just. Still, that hasn't been a big problem, because they stay tied when I put the bow in the little lace-pocket... not sure longer ones would fit in there anyway.

Overall, very disappointed. Not sure what I'll buy next time, but it WON'T be the Gel-Trabuco 13.

I have worn this shoe for about 15 trail runs so far, and they are great. They are true to size, have great traction and are really stable. I run on rugged terrian, and like how the laces tuck into the lace pockets. The dark color is nice too, hides the dirt!

These shoes are cut small. I ordered an 8.5 shoe and its far too small and narrow as well. I have a medium-width foot. Since Amazon is unable to exchange these shoes I'll have to return them for a refund. If I could exchange them I would get a 9.5.
