I have another style of RYKA running shoes that fit much better than this style. The shoes are really cute, very cushioned and supportive, but these have a much narrower toe box so getting pressure on both big toes when walking and running. The back of these shoes come up very high. I wore them with a lower footie type sock and ended up with blisters.

For people with a wide foot, probably not the best shoe. It ran very narrow. The shoe was light and looked good but just not the right fit for me. Im sending back.

I give four stars due to service and fast shipping. The price is in a good range and the color combo is cute. I bought these to match a pair of running shorts I have. Never wore this brand before but thought I would give it a shot. I am on my feet at work 12hrs a day and run/lift 3x per week. These shoes are not comfortable at all. When I wear them I have to wear the heel tab socks or they rub the back of my foot so bad I cant walk and I bleed. The socks solve that problem, but just all around comfort they are not great make my feet and back hurt. They also seem alittle stiff to run in.

I needed a size smaller than my usual shoe size. On my first run I noticed there did not seem to be as much support under the balls of my feet as I've been accustomed to with the Ryka Revive shoe. However I have enjoyed wearing Rykas for a long time now and been very happy with them... so I am willing to persevere with the Avert and see how it goes.
