I have been wearing ASICS for years and every pair has fit the same. This one is either a cheap knock off or suddenly ASICS quality has turned to crap.
I have a narrow foot and this is why I wear ASICS, they fit it fine. This pair could be mismarked and be an WIDE, but there is no ASICS seal in the heal portion of the sole insert. And on the tongue, the size information tag is different.
So my take on this is either they are bad knock offs, or ASICS quality has plummeted.

These are good shoes, they fit well in most respects, but they are just not as wide as I'd hoped.I bought the 4E width, and it really doesn't feel any wider 2E. I have purchased other ASICS shoes in the past and have not noticed the toe-box being this tight. It isn't unwearable, it will just take for it to stretch out, I guess.

These are the worst pair of Asics I've owned. They are uncomfortable and ill fitting. I have a 5 year old, beat up pair of Asics I use for working around to house and they are a better shoe the these. This is not what I've come to expect from Basics over the years.

Really nice shoe's, very comfortable. I always add sport jell inserts and these shoes are like walking with cotton balls strap to your feet. Would recommend these shoe.
