Pun definitely intended. I have been buying asics ds trainers for over 5 years and have yet to stray from this ideal product. Unfortunately, the ds trainer xii has really missed the mark. Yes, they still provide stability in a lightweight form BUT this model is much narrower in the toes. My poor little pinky toes have been smashed under their neighboring toes, leaving me with sore inflamed toes and feet. For the record, I consider my feet average width so I suppose this model is tailored more towards the narrow footed.Best Deals on Asics Gel DS Trainer 12 Womens Running Shoes
These shoes are great for people with narrow feet and normal to high arches. I started running in these shoes last year and loved them. I did a few races and my stride felt great, my legs felt light, and I enjoyed my run. I couldn't find them in stores where I live so I switched and tried both the Asic's Gel Cumulus and Asic's Gel Pulse but disliked them both. They were heavy and I started having a tendency to drag my feet, the Gel Cumulus actually fell apart after a month. I switched back to the DS Trainer and now my stride feels natural again, my feet don't hurt, and I have gotten my pace back. I am ready for Ragnar now!!Honest reviews on Asics Gel DS Trainer 12 Womens Running Shoes
The shoes were a Christmas gift for my daughter in law. I was given her size and the style of shoe to go by. She loved them and they fit perfectly.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Asics Gel DS Trainer 12 Womens Running Shoes
I LOVE this shoe. I'm a triathlete and I wear orthotics, so I am extremely hard on my shoes. These shoes are light enough so that I can still run with my orthotics (slipped under the lining) without being heavy, and so far they've held up to the worst I can dish out without a problem. Despite being so lightweight, they are extremely comfortable, with enough cushion in the right places. If you are running long distances in these, you may want to consider sizing up, as you should with any running shoe to allow for your feet to swell and to avoid hot spots.
