This was my 4th pair of Wave Rider. The shoe felt great at first, but on my 5th or 6th run, the ankle collar began rubbing painfully against my ankle ball. I was soon forced to retire them. I eventually bought a pair of thick sole inserts to use them occasionally. My local store told me others had been experiencing this problem with the 14. That was disapointing since the Wave Rider 10-13, were probably the best shoes I've ever had.Buy Mizuno Men's Wave Rider 14 Running Shoe

Have ran in the previous 2 models of the Wave Rider but this iteration is vastly different! The heel cup and ankle coller are too tight and high which results in holding the foot in the wrong places. The toe box is more pointed, really restricting the natural way my foot wants to sit in the shoe. Most noticeably, the arch support I had grown accustomed to in the previous Wave Riders is missing. This is the biggest draw back as when I ran in them I kept thinking how uncomfortable this shoe was, rather than focusing on my run. Trying them on in the store didn't bring to light the severity of all these changes so hopefully someone can benefit from this review. I have since went out and purchased the Wave Precision. Hopefully Mizuno gets the Wave Rider 15 right.
