Like all running shoes the fit is individually based. This shoe works for me and my feet. A cross between stability and motion controlled. Controlled and supportive landings. Running 7 miles was no problem. Feet felt great during and after the run. Original pair purchased at a running store. Love so much buying another color. I suggest alternating running shoes! Try these out. You will know on your first run if they work for you.
Update 9/24/2013, .... and they keep on working... Great shoe for me, I just ordered my 3rd pair. I prefer to alternate shoes. Good for all running surfaces: concrete, asphalt, cobblestone, and even sand (not a preferred surface).

I have flat feet and a bad pronation problem. I've been wearing New Balance for years because this style provides the best support I've found. I can buy a pair, put them on, and go. There is no breaking in period, which makes the shoes even better! I do not like having to buy an expensive shoe, however, this shoe provides all of the support I need and it is well worth the cost! If you have flat feet and a pronation problem, I highly recommend you check these out!

Best running shoe I've worn to date. No break in period required. I typically run on concrete sidewalks or the street and these are super impact absorbing; no lower back or knee pain. Own 2 pairs so far and I have my eyes on a third.

Did not like these shoes. Will return them if amazon will allow. I usually run 8 miles/day with my asics. I couldn't even run 2 miles in these. Now my back hurts. Not a good shoe. Sorry for the bad review, just want to save someone else...
