Review of ASICS Men's GEL-1150 Running Shoe

I researched a running shoe on Amazon before I went to the store and tried them on. Dicks Sporting Goods agreed w/ Amazon and said Asics were the best shoes they carried for running. I bought them on sale for $65. I am impressed. I have arched feet, and the middle of the shoe is great. I am in nursing school, and work at a hospital and I am on feet for long periods of a time, and these shoes get me through the day. They are comfortable, as well as stylish. Then when I hit the gym, they provide the support i need. I also use them as their intended purpose for running. Best shoe I ever bought. I well definitely buy Asics again.

The other reviewers helped a lot. I almost bought a different pair, but I'm glad I got these.

I have a pair of Nike Airmax 2009's, but I had a lot of problems with pain. After a ton of reading I was down to Asics as a replacement, and even though this shoe doesn't have many reviews here, if you look around and Google you will find a ton of good stuff about this shoe.

I've ran a 5k 3 times in them since they arrived, and I'm very very happy. My Nike shoes, which cost way more than these just got demoted to just normal daily use. I almost want to buy another pair of these for daily use just because they feel so great.

Do your research, but these rock IMO.

Just bought them for the same price that Amazon is showing, and they are incredibly comfortable. I am not use to wearing high-end running shoes, so they felt snug at first, but now I realize they were just offering the best support of any running shoes I have ever worn. I went into the store expecting to walk out with Nike brand, and these fit my feet much better then the Nike's I also tried on in the store.

Honest reviews on ASICS Men's GEL-1150 Running Shoe

As a fitness pro I always look for the "best" foot protection and performance. After research and trials I found that Asics 1150 is a perfect running and training shoe, a perfect fit and superior performance in terms of cushioning and stability. I am using the 1150 for training, running/walking and teaching classes at the gym. I also use more sparingly the 2150. I would say, based on my experience, that 2150 is an excellent shoe but the 1150 is the perfect one and a lighter, 10.7 vs. 11.8 oz. ( I have four pairs of 1150). I have retired my Nike Pegasus 26 to walking and every day use and thrown away all the other shoes, including Reebok, etc. The feeling and appearance are uniquely designed for the professional athlete but anyone who cares about good performance and safety can enjoy using them. Since I work at the gym in the evening, I can hardly await to get there after my office hours and begin training or teaching. I would highly recommend the 1150 to anyone, who cares about safety, comfort and performance.

I've been using the ASICS for years, through various seasons. Tried the 2000 series on one foot and 1000 series on the other foot barely felt any difference the 2000 was a BIT cooshier, so maybe important for heavier runners or runners with big running volume. If you run under 30 miles a week and are in the healthy BMI, save your money I say. Also consider buying a 1/2 size larger than street shoes.

Only negatives would be that these shoes are not good for me when running without socks. I get a hot spot after 20 minutes under my arch. Also if you have long toenails and no socks, you might see a hole appear one day on the top mesh. Lastly, the top mesh breathes great but holds mud nicely, too.
