I'm on my 3rd Dorsi-Lite foot splint. 3rd because it works well, is comfortable to wear with socks of slippers around the house, helps me walk naturally, etc. On the downside, I'm on my 3rd because the plastic piece breaks after about 3-4 months of normal use just walking around the house. Wish they could make it more reliable. It's not that cheap to keep replacing it. I'm looking for something more sturdy.

I get sick of wearing shoes all the time, and this let's me walk around in my slippers without fear of falling due to my foot drop. For some reason the left one was digging into my shin bone, but gluing a piece of foam in the right place mostly solved the problem. Also, don't trim the pieces too much. I started wearing a fabric ankle support under mine after trimming it, and found I trimmed the neoprene too much and had to order a new one.

I have bought three different AFOs from Amazon and this one I would say is just okay. It will hold your foot up to a certain degree if you have drop foot, but is also uncomfortable around the ball of your foot as it will squeeze it tight. I can only wear this AFO for brief periods due to its tendency to become uncomfortable during prolonged use. Also, I have had trouble finding any of my regular shoes that I can wear this with.

Very uncomfortable with socks on but once the socks are off it is amazing never thought I would be able sleep with a product that wasn't uncomfortable or bulky at night this one is great.

This device enables one to live a normal life with footdrop It is quick and easy to use. I simply push it down intothe top between sock & top of all types of shoes and off I go. Being a lady and wanting to wear dressy shoes, I have striven to get shoes w/velcro closing tops or straps across tops. One can find pretty styles if you shop with the need in mind. I dont use the strap near toes on the Dorsi-lite. I find no trouble in using it with all types of shoes. Most of them are deep enough. Sometimes you have to remove thick inner soles. No one has the time or patience to use the shoestring Dorsi product, but this Dorsi-Lite product is great. Cant say enough good about it. Most Orthopedits dont even know about this device. I purchased this at Amazon.com. I feel shipping costs are too high from manufacturer.
