However, the width of these shoes are too narrow. Adidas sizes does not come with different widths. My feet is not particularly wide, but I do feel very tight. For the price (they are expensive), Adidas should come with at least 3 width sizes from narrow, normal to wide.

These are tied for the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Great arch support and they are very supportive laterally as well. They will feel tight when you first put them on, but they will loosen up as they begin to break-in.I really like the gusseted tongue and Goretex upper. As long as no water gets near your sock line your feet will stay drive even in extremely wet conditions.
So far the materials are tough and show little signs of wear.
The lacing system is great in my opinion; the do loosen somewhat throughout the day, but so do normal shoe laces. Having such a quick and easy system to tighten the shoe is far better than your standard shoe laces in my opinion.
I really enjoy these and will buy another pair in the coming months.

I wear those day in day out, even for a casual look in the office with chinos. totally true to size and i dont think they are too narrow (i wear EE on Allen Edmonds and the width here is perfect).I have a tricky left leg (once totally broken) , thoes are the first shoes, I can walk in for hours and hours, whether city or trails, without any complaints.
They beat all Merrells and Keens I had so far (living in VT) and they look cooler , which doesn't hurt either.

Purchased US men's size 10. The day they arrived I put them on and took an 8 mile hike over rough terrain. Shoe is very comfortable and stable. I like the quick-lacing feature. Tested the water-tightness of the shoe on day 2 and it passed treading through heavy dew-covered grass and shallow puddles. Overall, very happy with my purchase.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for adidas Outdoor Terrex Fast X GTX Hiking Shoe - Men's
I bought these shoes to wear in light rain and on dew covered grass. So far, I have not yet worn them in either condition and cannot speak to their water proof ability as of yet. They seem to be well made and look good. (I prefer plain black shoes as opposed to all of the neon lizard print garbage offered in mall stores.)There was one minor flaw where some of the interior gray lining was bunched up and visible within some of the black piping on the forefoot. It appears to be only a cosmetic issue although it's annoying to me. I figure the retailer saw an opportunity to pass on this pair to an online customer because his in-store customers wouldn't go for the flaw. Having said that, I'm certain this flaw was unique to my pair.
The insoles are comfortable. They have the word "orthotic" printed on them in huge font. I guess they want you to know the insoles are special. The insoles do feel different than typical adidas insoles, though not quite to the level of "super feet" orthotics.
The sole is stamped with the Continental tire company logo. I guess that means they are the same quality rubber you would find on a tire. We'll see if they last 40k miles.
The lace system is an elastic cord with a slide lock. Seems sturdy enough and convenient.
Overall, I like the shoe and will buy them again unless the unexpectedly fall apart.
