This is my first pair of Skele-Toes. I was hesitant to purchase since they look funny. But I bought these for a mud run and they worked out well. I was able to move through the mud without getting stuck (vs wearing old chunky sneakers). I was also able to wash them extensively after the run and save them completely! They still look new. I wouldn't recommend wearing these on a regular jog if it's longer than 2 or 3 miles since there is not much ankle support. But if you are doing any type of drills or lateral movements, theses shoes are great!

Also, I usually wear a size 6 in women and was able to buy the "big kid" size to save some $!

Negatives: it might run a tiny bit smallbut it's more likely my son's feet were bigger than I thought. The sole is pretty stiff for minimalist footwear. You can't ball the shoe up in your hand or anything close. It is certainly more flexible than a standard shoe, though. Positives: They're way cheaper than vibrams, sturdy enough for one child to last through that size of shoe, don't get smelly very fast, warm enough for winter but cool for summer, and easy for my 7 year old to put on. He's in love with them so I am too.

Granddaughter had to have these shoes. They run small so I ordered one size larger fit nice and look good. She's happy.

You will want to order these a size larger. I now have this set of shoes that I cant return because we were on vacation when they came in (the arrived a couple hours after we hit the road, we had been hoping to take them with us) so we ran out of time to return them.

My 9 year old Grandson loves these! This is his third pair. His last pair was this brand too. As he had just outgrown them, I ordered the next size and they are a good fit. Otherwise, I would hesitate to order online footwear for a child.
