The shoes are exactly as they are shown in the photo, and despite being a little stiff (needing to be broken in) they fit great. When ordering the half-size higher, take into account that one of your feet is larger than the other. I am a size 8W, and ordered 8.5W...but my right foot is smaller than my left, and so the right shoe is a little big. Its the risk you run for ordering shoes online, but I'll wear a little thicker socks and it'll be just fine! The soles are a great rubber with almost cleat-like nubs on the bottom, they will be great in slippery situations. I bought these for nursing and will almost definitely buy more pairs.
UPDATE: After only a week or two the shoes were 100% broken in and feel wonderful. I absolutely love these shoes! They're easy to keep clean also. Great support in the soles and even have good arch support for my poor old flat feet. Definitely try these shoes!

These shoes are very comfortable and nice looking, but they seem to run about a half size too small. I have always worn a 7 Medium in all my shoes, but had to order a 7 1/2 Medium due to lack of toe room. My toes were right at the end of the shoe, and I was wearing a thin, lightweight sock when I tried them on. The larger size fits well and I am pleased with the style and comfort. The only problem with returning them to the company I purchased them from (Marcus Uniforms) was the cost of shipping them back for an exchange. I sent them back UPS and it cost me nearly ten dollars, which added significantly to the cost of buying the shoes.

Very good looking shoe, very excited to find a decently priced white nursing/uniform shoe without laces and with a back! Comfy, and definetly order a 1/2 size up. I for the most part wear a size 8.5. Sometimes I can squeeze into my little sisters cute size 8 heels. Size 9 fit perfectly in this shoe. Very easy to clean. Pretty quick shipping, too!

In the description of the shoes it says to order 1/2 size larger than you normally wear so I did and now I have a pair of shoes 1/2 size too big!
