I have worn the Gel Evolution shoe for years for it's excellent motion control and fit. Also, it comes in wide sizes. This new Gel Forte is every bit as supportive, but lighter and more flexible--plus I love the new color (so sick of wearing grey). I usually put orthotics in my shoes, but found that so far this has not been necessary. I work out in these, but more importantly, as a nurse, I need outstanding support and comfort for my 13 hour shifts, and these do the job!

My wife really likes these shoes she says they are the most support that she's had in a shoe for running.

They take a few days to get broken in, as they are stiff in the ankle area right off the hop, but once they are broken in, they are extremelly comfortable without being restrictive.

I have worn this shoe for about 2 months now. I love them. They are light and comfortable. I over pronate and wear a custom orthotic in my shoes. Since these shoes are designed for over pronation I was told not to wear my custom orthotics in them and purchased an orthotic from my therapist that has less of a correction. My custom orthotics correct my feet by aproximatley 5 degrees so if you buy a shoe that offers a 2 degree correction already built into them you should not then add an orthotic with a 5 degree correction. For some people who only need a small correction this shoe might be fine without their orthotic. I have very narrow feet , a bunion on my left foot and very narrow heels. This is the best fitting shoe for me that I have had in years. I usually wear an 8 1/2 to a 9 in my shoes and needed a 9 in these. I am ordering another pair from Amazon right now to make sure I have a back up pair for when I wear these out.

I only buy Asics sneakers because I haven't found another brand that is as comfortable. This sneaker does run a little small. I'm glad I read the reviews first because I ordered a half size up. I probably could have gone a whole size up, but I'm sure these will be fine after they are broken in. I got the dark gray and purple and it's a really nice looking sneaker. I like the dark colors in the fall and winter; plus they don't show the dirt as much. They are a little pricy, but it's worth it because they feel so good.

This is a good motion control shoe for serious runners. I used these to replace my old Gel-Foundation 10 shoes that are no longer available.
