Pros: They feel really solid. The front toes guard is larger than most shoes increasing durability. The fabrics seem ready for a lot of wear. The red straps running along the side hold feet well. The shoes are well padded. Running on trails shows off hold solid and supportive the soul is. Grey is a good color for muddy trail running. Fairly light despite the support and durability. They are a bit heavier than my Brooks and slightly lighter than my Gel Nimbus.
Cons: Styling is a bit 90s or English. Not anywhere near as good looking or flashy as new shoes such as my Brooks Launch. A bit stiff initially, but this is likely a sacrifice for long wearing shoes. Not as pliable and shock absorbing as my Brooks Launch, but again more supportive.
SIZING. I AM AN 11.5 IN MY BROOKS LAUNCH AND 11.5 ON A SIZING DEVICE, BUT MY 11.5 US SIZED SHOES ARE .5-1 SIZE TOO BIG. I ADVISE ORDERING .5 TOO SMALL OF THESE SHOES. WIDTH IS OK, BUT THEY ARE LONG.

I have been running for over 20 years and found this to be the most reliable running shoe currently on the market. I have had major foot surgery and this product has offered the strongest support. It does appear that shoe sizes run smaller than Nike, Addidas. A half size smaller in my case.Best Deals on UK Gear PT-1000 SC Men's Road and Trail Running Shoe
I have been running competitively for 28 years. Triathlons, Trail racing, Marathons, and Ultramarathons. I am a Retired Vet from the Spec Ops side of the house and know how to rate your personal Kit (Gear).I have heard the hype of these shoes and had to try for myself.
I had been using another top brand for Ultra's, but my only issue with them was after about 4 to 6 weeks I had ran them out. The next step was carefully researching a durable trail running shoe I could keep around for awhile longer. The UK Gear PT1000 seem up to the task.
I run mostly on rough technical trails, sand, rocks, log crossings, mud, snow, ice, and sometimes pavement and asphault (rare unless I have too!) the soles of the shoes have held up well and have not given me the slip as much as I thought they would. I had been using the cleated Solomon Speedcross 2 and 3 running shoes and was worried that the PT1000 would not be as good off road as my other's. The cleated bottom of the PT 1000 I would describe like a set of All Terrian Tires you would have on your SUV. They hold their own well enough for me.
I am very Satified!
