Although these shoes seems like it holds no support & very light they are very comfortable. I wore them to the gym and after working out my feet felt good. They help up perfectly on the treadmill. As for style, I've received serval compliments.
Cons
The size seem to run big because my normal 8 doesn't work with this shoe. I wanted to send them back to get a smaller sizer (7 1/2) but the seller doesn't give you that option. Only refund and I didn't want to go through the hassle of refunding and re-ordering.
If it wasn't for the size issue I would have given it a 5 star because they do not weigh your feet down. Feel like i have on socks.

I have a few pairs of minimalist shoes as well as a pair of vibrams and am always interested in trying minimalist styles from different brands. These New Balances have thicker soles compared to what I own, which is to be expected given they are trail running shoes. I think they would be a great pair for people looking to try a minimalist style. I would not recommend these as a transition pair, this style is solidly in the minimalist category. I took other reviewers advice and ordered a half size down which was perfect. My complaint, and I hope I can explain this, is that the toe box is much wider than the sole of the shoe, so the seam that joins the sole to the shoe runs straight under the big toe and ball of my feet. The toe box size is great, so I have no idea why they actual sole that gets sewn in is so narrow. This isn't a problem for standard runs but once my runs approach double digit miles and my feet have been pounding the seam for over an hour, it really make the balls of my feet sore. Its like having a tiny piece of gravel in your shoe; its not the worst and you can easily run with it, but you wish it wasn't there. I really want to love them and maybe my feet will stop being babies and callous up but until then, I can't say they're amazing.
