Had to return them, unused. I had high hopes, because I already owned, used, abused and loved a pair of Icebugs (no idea of the style; I bought them from a vendor at an event.) I am an orienteer, so I loved the Icebug's traction and the studs. My old, beat pair fit snug like a glove, one of the only models of running shoe I'd found that wouldn't roll around on my narrow feet. The new Anima-L Bugrip heel fit, but the front of the shoe was definitely M-L. It was way too wide, and too roomy from top to bottom too. Also, the asymetrical lacing placement made it impossible to tighten the shoe where it needed snugging up. In a nutshell fit fine at the heel, but from mid-foot to the toe it fit like a balloon. No way I could orienteer in those. Sigh. Still looking for new Icebugs, but a different style more like my old favorites.Buy Icebug Women's Anima Bugrip Running Shoe

I didn't buy these on amazon but I was just so pleased with them I had to write a review somewhere. I got these for the bugrip and the traction is great! I wear these in winter snow and ice conditions over wooded dirt trails. No more slipping and sliding, stride is efficient again and I have much less worry about falling/sprains! They are light and flexible but still feel solid and durable. My foot is a little wide so I had a break in period, blister on my outside knuckle for about a week. I usually buy 1/2 size bigger for having wide feet and didn't this time. They are true to size in length and my toes have plenty of space. I was used to shoes with extra heel cushion and a very high heel to toe pitch. These are minimalist design so they are flatter (to me they seem even flatter in person than they appear in pictures). Took about a month to adjust, slow transition decreased mileage off old shoes while building up mileage on these. I experienced some soreness in foot and lower ankle muscles for a while but it went away over time. Be aware for people who persistent heel strike and can't adjust technique, not a good match for these. I wish the womens came in green color. I don't know if they're waterproof, my socks and feet get wet but might be my own sweat. They're not very warm while just walking around, but are made for running so once you get moving they're fine. The metal cleats are sharp so put on & take off right at the door to avoid scratching up wood floors at home.
