OK, I didn't buy these from Amazon, but I love them so much that I have to tell somebody. Another confession--one of the big reasons I bought them is for the looks (they look awesome), but what I really fell in love with was the functionality. So these say moderate stability and I assumed they would be moderate cushioning as me and minimalist shoes don't mesh. Minimalist shoes kill my calves and achilles so I stay away, but at the same time I am not a huge fan of overly cushioned shoes like Asics gel either, I like to be somewhere in the middle. Another disclosure here-while I like to run I am by no means a runner (I do 15-20 miles per week, on the road and some trail). So, when these came in the mail (I would have liked to try them first, but couldn't find them in any local running shops) I was surprised to find them to be as cushioned as they were and was immediately concerned when I put them on--there was a lot of spring and they felt like pillows on my feet (good for walking but will I like it when I run?) Then I went for a test run, and I was shocked, these are by far, hands down, the best running shoes I ever ran in. The e-motion technology as Pearl Izumi calls it really works (I also appreciate the play on words here e motion), I felt light on my feet, and each step felt effortless. I also had a small nagging calf pain (from those minimalist shoes) that seem to linger every time I run, but I didn't even feel it in these shoes. I am a heel striker, that is just the way I run injury free so I never bothered correcting. The rounded heel makes my stride more fluid and seamless. As I had a baby just over 3 months ago, this test run was the first time I ran a sub 8 minute mile since coming back, and I think the shoes helped. Great shoe. OK, I am done now. Had to get that off my chest. They do run a little narrow, which works for me as I have a narrow foot but might not be good for everyone.

I have worn Pearl iZUMi shoes before and was hoping for the same quality & comfort, these exceeded my expectations. Loving them! Comfort & style are both fantastic.

I just wore my new shoes yesterday on a 4 mile walk. The fit seemed ok at first but noticed at about 2.5 miles that the bottom of my foot was burning and by the end I had a big red spot there. It was almost a blister. I think the shoes are great, they felt good but wished now I had gotten the wide width instead of the medium. If I had one that I think they would be a great shoe.

These may be good for pronators, but not for anyone else. I don't pronate and these shoes caused tendon and knee pain immediately. Much better to go to a good running store and get properly fitted for a shoe than make the $100 mistake I did. The shoes themselves are beautiful and I'm sad I can't use them.
