Review of Birkenstock BirkoActive Arch Support Insoles

I wear Birkenstock shoes nearly exclusively. However, I need something to put in tennis shoes to work out, and in golf shoes to golf. I have purchased both the Birkenstock Sport insole that is 2 pieces (blue foam piece over the 3/4 cork insole) and the black Birko-Actives. They both are excellent. I tend to prefer the 2-piece ones because they have a bit more arch support and the cork conforms to your feet. What you get with these black ones, though, is more cushioning around the toe area, and a firm arch support. Also, these black ones are thinner and will fit better in a shoe that is not very deep in the heel. If you get the 2-piece ones and the heel is shallow, your heel will slip out of your shoe. If you only need medium arch support, I'd suggest the black. If you need higher arch support, get the 2-piece. Of course, there are the times where your shoe might already offer a little arch support, and then adding the black ones on top of that feel really good! For regular Birkenstock wearers, be aware that the black insoles do not conform to your feet, because they are not cork. If you want that option, get the 2-piece. Either one does very well with sweat. I walk 18 holes and only on very hot days do my feet feel damp at all. If your shoes do get really sweaty, be sure to take the insoles out and let them fully dry. They do not hold odors unless they are wet for a long time. If you still can't make up your mind, buy both! They are both very good insoles and one might fit in your shoes better than the other. It's nice to have the option, and you will always find a shoe to put the second pair in.

Felt great once in the shoe then 5 hours later thye sttarted to annoy the heel of my right foot. Now it won't go away.

Have tried others and did not have this issue.
