I bought the Vigor 3 to replace my Kanadia 4. The K was a great shoe that I bought initially as a trail shoe for mud run races. It's very lite and gave me good tractions in muddy areas where other were runners were slipping. No time was needed to break in the shoe. I actually did more cross training in these shoes and it gave me sufficient support for lateral movements. They felt very agile and cat like. I liked them better then cross trainers especially during run intervals. The outsole wears quickly when on hard surfaces.Vigor 3 I have only warn twice in the gym during cross training/boot camp and around the house. This is a more rugged shoe and feels rigid at times. It actually feels like a cross trainer instead of a running shoe. This may change as they are broken in. Both shoes have the ADIWEAR and TRAXION outsole technology but the tread is different and hopefully last longer. For a size 10, the V3 come in at 1lb 10 1/2oz for the pair which is 2 oz heavier than the K4 or 1oz per shoe.
Ideally I wanted to buy the Kanadia 5 but the V3 was on sales for $49.95 locally which is $20 less than K5 at the time of this review.
