I got mine from Running Warehouse in SLO. If you live in the area, go to the Warehouse and they will fit you to the right shoe.

I'm not sure if anyone notice but there is no stitching on the upper part of the shoe unlike the other Salomon range in the past and I think it's a good thing as it provide less abrasion contact between the skin and the shoe. Cleaning the muddy Crossmax is also easy as the dirt will come off the shoe without much scrubbing

The shoe was true to size and is extremely comfortable. I run on a concrete trail and my feet are not affected by the impact as they are with my road race shoes. The lacing system is great! They are easy to tighten and they don't become untied.

Now that I have a Few of 5k's on the mileage, I can say that I like these shoes. I have run one race that was cross county and 2 that were pavement races. I felt good running in them. the lack of a tie-able shoelace presents a decent ease of mind, having run a 5k with my Nike's and having the shoe lace come untied. The tread is awesome and has yet to show any kind of wear.
