This is my first pair of Vibrams. I chose these ones because they have a cuter shape and looked lighter than most of the others. I don't like the look of the styles that go up around the ankle, I thought the tan lines would have been god awful, that I would have been irritated by the feeling on my ankle and had a harder time taking them off and on, although that's speculation since this is my first pair. My cousin's wife who has been an advocate of Vibrams for years wanted a pair of these ones when she saw mine.

My main use is lifting weights, trail hiking, and just working around the house and yard. I was insistent that these would be the only activities when I got them and I would never be one of those weirdos that wears them everywhere. Well, never say never, I'm obsessed. These are the next best thing to being barefoot. You have to get used to wearing them. They were much easier to slide off and on at the end of a week. When walking in the woods and I step on a rock, I feel it, but it doesn't really hurt and goes away with the next step. They just feel so darn good!

I've heard so many people report foot pain disappears with these shoes. I had some minor foot problems, a little bit of plantar pain once in a while and a tender arch, but not full blown plantar fasciitis. After a month of wearing these, even when I press into my arch, I'm suddenly noticing that "normal" soreness is almost nonexistent.

After exactly 7 days of light wear, somehow I scuffed the big toe of one shoe and it got a small hole. I was shocked since I'd always heard these shoes were known for durability, but Amazon promptly took a return and I ordered a new pair which I have now worn for more than a month with no problems. My biggest concern was giving up the shoes while I waited for the replacement pair in the mail because I was already hooked.

Vibram Five Finger shoes are so good for my feet. I love how I can feel what I am walking on while protecting my feet. I always get a size bigger than recommended and they fit perfectly.
