I ordered these shoes for my son to wear at a wedding this weekend and they are super cute and can be worn with Khakis or Jeans. They do run about a half size to small. My son is just now wearing a size 10 and I could barley pull the velcro strap across the top of his foot and his toes are all the way to the front of the shoe.

We've had good luck with Stride Rites in the past for our 2.5 year old/active boy. But these shoes were all wrong.

These are more like hiking boots than sneakers. The sole was a hard plastic, not very flexible. We ordered a 7.5W, and these were so narrow, I had to jam his foot in.. and even then, the strap wouldn't reach across the top of the shoe to the velcro on the other side. These weren't even closehad to return.

I gave two stars because the quality was pretty goodI have a feeling if these fit your child, they'd last a long time and your child would grow out of them before the tread would wear out.

Just to let you know, I have NEVER written a review on Amazon before!

I found these on sale and having purchased Stride Rite shoes for my son in the past (he has wide feet) I went ahead and got his current size and also the next size up. My husband and I have noticed the past couple of days our son walking funny...kind of stiff legged and flat footed. Last night we finally realized that it was his shoes causing heel bruising! Underneath the inner padding we could feel a hard place that wasn't flat, but obviously would hurt anybody's feet. I'm very disappointed with these and wouldn't suggest to any other parent to buy them.

Very disappointing. Purchased this shoe for my grandson, and had it shipped to their home. When my daughter tried them on, she got his foot in, but the velcro strap was too short. This is the 7 Wide size. This is the second Stride Rite shoe that did not fit because of width.

Probably won't trust that Stride Rite shoes will fit.

These run small and even though there is a Velcro strap, if your child has a high arch, it is not a good fit. We couldn't even get the Velcro to connect. And he fits in other shoes of the same "size" no problem. Unfortunately, in the short time we struggled to try these on, he managed to get them dirty, so I can't even return them. :-( have to donate them to charity.
