I ordered the shoes in size 14 4E, which is the usual New Balance size that works for me. The pair that was delivered had one shoe marked width 2E and the other one 4E. However both shoes were much too narrow -I couldn't even get the shoes onto my feet to try walking with them.

I bought this as a daily deal so maybe it is just my New Balance 709's (white) that are terrible. I first tried them on in my size of 10 and a half and they were a little big which I might add that I have never had a problem with any other shoes in this size even my previous New Balance shoes. That was no big deal, and I could care less. However, I then noticed then when I would walk/run, the right shoe was extremely stiff and caused pain on the toes. I finally experimented and found out this happened when ever I was on my tip toes which happens any time I walk/run. Now this probably just means I haven't worn them in yet which is fine, but it is still very uncomfortable and painful to walk/run in for the right foot.

Finally, I decided to take these to the gym for a test run. What a terrible mistake I made. I run on the treadmill with my other Nike running shoes, and they are as quiet as can be. I get on with these New Balance 709's, and all I here is CLOP CLOP CLOP THUMP THUMP THUMP for the entire time I'm running. Personally, I didn't care until you have people staring back at you wondering who is making all that commotion. Also, like I said, I had previous New Balance shoes that were great. I wore them in for about 5+ years until they looked like garbage. Like I said before, perhaps this is just my pair of New Balance shoes (which is why I gave it 3 stars instead of 1) that are acting up, but I figured I'd let you know.

I ordered this shoe 3 times before I finally got what I ordered. First 2 times the receipt was marked what I ordered, but the box shipped was incorrect. Fanally received & it fits great, walked all over Grand Cayman with it & have no complaints.
