I put In 15 miles on average every week. I have ran 3 marathons so far. the 2nd in brooks trance 9's and the 3rd in trance 10's. the trance 12 fit my foot ever so slightly bigger. But somehow the shoe has shaped my foot so it's no longer a problem. Amazing ride in the shoes. Lightweight feel. Your foot feels free and cushioned. Has a really slick look to them too. I look forward to my next marathon in these. The shoes matter. Get the best. Brooks.

I am 6'3" 245 in the gym 7 days a week, i would rather deadlift 500lbs for reps than run a mile, I dont like to run it is hard on my joints. However I decided I wanted to drop some bodyfat% and the treadmill is my weapon of choice to do so. All my friends run miles upon miles and im the big guy, they run in Brooks so i chose to buy these Trance 12s because they offer support and cushioning, I also purchased a pair of Nike LunarEclipses'. I am a hardcore nike sneakerhead I collect them, but these Brooks are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned hands down. They feel as if they propel me into my stride step after step and I dont feel my weight hammering down on my shins and ankles, its crazy. I desire to run because of these shoes. I will forever buy brooks running shoes. Sidenote on size, in a Nike I wear a 12, in a New Balance I wear a 13 and in these I bought an 11.5 and it fits me perfectly. This shoe is so supportive and comfortable I plan on purchasing a backup pair. Style wise, well they look like a running shoe, the web splatter on the sole is cool looking though. I have seen the new Glycerins and they are more stylish, but honestly you're not buying Brooks to look cool, you're buying them to help you push through the miles comfortably and they absolutely do that. Update 8/05/13: Bought a 2nd pair of these in the sulphur, neon yellow and black. I cant say enough about these brooks trance 12s. Im a big guy I now run 4 miles every other day because of these shoes and I couldnt be happier. Yes, they are expensive but there is a reason. They are the most comfortable supportive shoes Ive ever owned. If you're considering these, dont hesistate they are beyond worth it.

Update 9/09/13: Still running, in fact they gave me the confidence to run my first 5k. Im now 235 and I enjoy running more and more because of my brooks. I have purchased a 3rd pair of brooks now. So thats 3 pairs of brooks in 4 months, I cant say enough about this companies product. They obviously know running. Ive gone from a shin pounding over pronating heel striker to a midfoot striker that likes to go fast all due to my brooks. Their shoes have helped me learn my stride/gait and go with it. Just Buy Them!

Honest reviews on Brooks Men's Trance 12 Running Shoes

It was almost scary how much I enjoyed running in these shoes the first time I wore them. I bought them on a Saturday morning, wore them around the house for about an hour before running just to get a feel for them. They seemed to slip right on and didn't need to be broken in at all. I went for my run with the initial thought to do 3-4 miles, but I quickly realized how great it felt to run in these shoes so I ended up running about 8 miles which, at the time, was a personal best for me. I felt great after the run and there was no lingering soreness the next day or even two days after. I have since started training for my first 1/2 marathon and full marathon which will happen this Summer. I have never been so satisfied with a purchase of a pair of running shoes! My only advice, make sure you get the perfect size for your feet! I went to a local retailer and tried on several different sizes to ensure I got the pair that fit the best since this was the first time I purchased a pair of Brooks' shoes (and it certainly won't be my last!).

Maybe a bit narrow but I am keeping them. To me comfort is the only thing and these have good support and are comfortable.
