I normally wear a 10 1/2 and when I first put on this shoe it fit like a glove. I couldn't have asked for a better fit. The upper is thin, soft and flexible, but does not allow my foot to slide around. When lacing up the shoe I noticed that the laces have some elasticity. This allowed me to lace up my shoes without having to over tighten which I immediately loved. This is my first minimal trail running shoe that I have ever tried. I couldn't find this shoe in any stores to try on before I purchased, but based on the other reviews I took my chances. On my first run, I could really feel the grip that these shoes have on the trail. I felt very sure footed and ran confidently up and down steep hills. After a couple of miles of running I could tell that the reinforced nylon plate on the bottom of the shoe was protecting my foot from rocks and roots. After the initial break-in I had to tighten the laces just a bit. In that same period of time, I also felt the shoe almost conform to my foot. They are very light weight and did I mention they look great! I received several compliments on what I good looking shoe this is! I am very happy with my purchase and did I mention that this is a great trail running shoe!

I was expecting these shoes to be way too small for my EE wide feet, but out of the box they were a perfect fit. Happy happy happy. I purchased these shoes to use as driving shoes as I enjoy driving the car while barefooted. The next to barefoot feeling has been perfect for such purpose, and to my surprise the shoes are very comfortable for long hikes around shopping malls, and even the extremely hard floors of Walmart stores. The shoes are almost weightless, and I don't even realize I have them on when walking, and running along the Great Divide Trail in my favorite Blackrange mountains of New Mexico. The protective footplate in these shoes has kept the bottoms of my feet completely safe from thorns, and sharp rocks. Their next challenge will be on the links type golf courses. Can hardly wait!!!

A nice light trail shoe with enough protection that my feet feel great after a long run. This is the third pair of Saucony's that I have owned. I previously ran in the Perigrines and was underwhelmed by their performance, the uppers of that shoe moved too much when I planted my foot on uneven terrain, was downright dangerous. The TR2 has fixed this problem and the shoes upper keeps my foot in place inside the shoe. The only complaint I have is that the toe box is narrow, but for my money its a fast shoe with just the right amount of protection.

After wearing out a pair of 1st generation Kinvaras and 2 pair of 2nd generation Kinvaras, I decided to give the trail running version a shot. As expected, these shoes are perfect FOR ME. It is very light and has a 4mm heel to toe strike, which I feel is a perfect balance between being too flat and having too much support.

Things I like: easy flexing forefoot, 4mm drop, close to ground feel, aggressive tread, light shoe, great pointy rock protection for thin sole shoe.

Tread does not clear very well in muddy conditions, but pretty sticky mud I was running in. A little more toe box width would be nice.
