This is the second Puma Speeder Illuminescent shoes I bought for my 5 year old son!
The first one was an orange and gray color which he already outgrew. He wanted a pair of sneakers that lights up and when I got him the first order, he loved it! I liked it because it was lightweight. Before he outgrew the first pair, he said to get him the same shoes when he outgrows the first pair...and I did!
A reminder to those thinking of purchasing a pair...The shoes are made narrow. After I read a fellow reviewer's comment, I ordered 1/2 size larger and it fits my son's feet well!

My son is very pickey when it comes to shoes. He was born in summer so he didn't wear any for awhile. Now that he is almost three it's still really hard to get him to try new ones. We found these at that mall one day and my husband loved them. Our son agreed to try them on and once we had them on we realized they were light ups. Light up shoes were one of my parent "never will my child have light up shoes". These are sooo cute though! The puma lights up and it shows the skelton of the cat. We are now ordering our second pair through Amazon. And as for the other comment about them being stiff, I don't agree I think they have plenty of give for a child over 2 years old. Trust me my son wouldn't wear them if they didn't haha!

My five-year old son has been wanting a pair of "light up" shoes for a very long time and I thought these would make a nice treat for starting kindergarten. I was SO RIGHT! These shoes earned me a coolest mommy award for sure. Based on other reviews, I ordered up a size and the fit was just about perfect (with room to grow). Pumas have a "kinder fit" system showing where the kiddos toes should hit leaving about an inch of space in front of the toes. At first I thought the shoes seemed a little too big, but my son assured me they were great, and I like that he will be able to wear them for a while. We just received the shoes last night, so I can't speak to how long the lights will last...but they are super bright and work perfectly. The solid color pumas not only light up but show the skeleton of the puma totally like nothing I have ever seen before. What a great effect! I promise that you will not be disappointed with this purchase. The shoes seem to be made a nice quality materials too. (For the record, we ordered the orange/white ones in a size 13.5 my son currently measures between a 12.5 and 13.)

My daughter is a 6.5 in toddlers and I ordered a size 7 and they fit perfect. The picture doesn't really show too well that that the sneaker has some gray on it on the front portion but it goes really nicely with the white and pink. My daughter loves how they light up!

They glow in the dark too. The whole puma lights up several times in white. For some reason I thought they would light up in pink.
