I have had my Hedgehogs for about 6months and I wanted to wait, before I did a review, to make sure I could give an accurate depiction!

This is my second pair of hedgehogs! I had been having trouble with my feet when I bumped into them in the first place. The majority of my exercise from April October 5 days a week is walking. Previously, I would wake up the next morning and feet on the floor was always a painful experience. With the hedgehogs, this changed. After about a year with the first pair and a lot of walking, I probably had compressed the soles and worn out the back of the inside of the shoe, so I looked for a new pair starting with the store where I had initially purchased them to no luck. I then went to my fall back Amazon! I hope this line will always be available. I have a lot more "walking" years.Best Deals on The North Face Women's Hedgehog III GTX XCR Light Hiker
I like the feel of this sport shoe. This is the first North Face shoe I've purchased, so I was unsure about the size. After reading several reviews on Amazon and elsewhere, I decided to order a bit larger than I would normally have. I usually wear an 8-1/2 medium. Since I want to use this for hiking, I need it a little longer in the toe area. I first ordered a 9-1/2 medium. It was too long. I returned it and ordered a size 9 which fits absolutely great! I'm camping in Mt. Rainier next month and need a Gore-tex shoe to replace my Vasque Breeze hiking shoes I've had for several years. I'm excited to see how these hold up in the rain. And Sievert Sports were very, very quick on delivery!Honest reviews on The North Face Women's Hedgehog III GTX XCR Light Hiker
Anticipating putting many damp miles on my feet during a 3 week Italian vacation in March, I purchased these shoes with those parameters in mind. And aren't my tired puppies glad I did!I didn't get a chance to break them in before I left but I needn't have worried: these were as comfortable on day 1 in Rome as they were on day 20 in Cinque Terre. I have very high arches and frequently suffer from shin splints when I do a lot of walking/hiking/running without proper support. I'm pleased to report that strained arches and pulled shins were never an issue.
My favorite feature about these shoes is that they are indeed waterproof. Nothing distracts and irritates me more than wet feet in squishy shoes. Despite stomping through the mud in Pompeii and splashing through puddles in Florence, my feet stayed perfectly dry.
I have the smallest quibble in that they don't quite stay as snug on my heel as I would have like. However, my heels never popped out of the back and blisters did not arise so NBD.
Grazie North Face!
