I was looking for a shoe that looked sharp, was comfortable and was easy to navigate airport security with. The Florsheim Ellsworth fit the bill to a T. I've done about ten flight segments since buying the shoe and continue to be impressed. The sizing is perfect for my wide foot (10.5 EEE) and there is no slippage or abrasion to my heel even when wearing smooth dress socks. The ergonomic insert leaves my feet refreshed even after long walks and the sole, while not 'dressy' in the classic sense, leaves me sure-footed in a variety of dry and wet conditions. I'd recommend this shoe to any traveler who doesn't like packing a variety of shoes for a trip. It dresses up and down effortlessly.

I had just bought a new pair of shoes from Florsheim that were size 8 1/2 so I ordered these thinking they would be the same fit, however they were too small so I wanted to exchange them for a size 9. Since Amazon won't exchange shoes for a different size in the same brand, I had to return them for a refund. My initial thought was that since I purchased during a 20 % offer that had then expired was that Amazon didn't want the take the loss for an even exchange. I then tried other web sites for the same shoes and found that this style had been discontinued and the other companies were selling them on clearance, i.e., 6pm had the same size, brand and color for $62.00. as compared to the full price Amazon was selling these for new at $100.00. I have learned my lesson and will check comparable web sites in the future.

Purchased a pair of Florsheim shoes about three months ago. The cost was $90. Needed a pair of shoes to wear occasionally for business casual settings. After wearing the shoes 10 -15 times, the rubber sole on both shoes separated from the leather uppers. Really liked the look and comfort of this shoe unfortunately the quality is pathetic. Do not purchase these shoes look for another brand!!!!

Purchased these shoes for my husband. The EEEEE are true fitting wide widths. He says they are like wearing slippers all the time. The are very lightweight and have lots of cushioning. The leather is real nice soft and durable.

While they call them 5E its a darn slim 5E. I ended up partial cutting the elastic to make them more comfortable but that means you need to wear black socks every time you wear them or the 'fix' you did shows.
