We have tried several differnt name brand sneakers for our toddler with wide feet. He seems to maneuver faster and trips less with the New Balance, the longevity and wear is fantastic for toddlers with active feet.

They are good in size, but maybe a half-size big. The 9W is roomier in New Balance than the Stride Rite Brands, so I think. I got this one on sale so it was a $10 savings compared to Stride Rites. My little girl loves to play in her water sink outside so these shoes get really wet. I've dried them out three times so far (overnight with a low fan!!) and they look great. No glue coming loose!! I'd buy them again for sure!

new balance is a good brand name, i expected it to fit.
other brands eg stride rite "wide" is wide enough.

I bought these shoes for my 22month old son because his foot is still very wide. They do fit him but I have to loosen the top velcro pretty loose so his fat foot will glide in smoothly. Very cute shoe and it will last a couple of months just fine until his foot grows again!

I bought 10W & 10&half W, neither were wide enough. My daughter has flat feet so she has to wear her orthotic. The last pair of New Balance sneakers I bought in the beginning of the year was wide enough to insert the orthotic. This recent purchase was utter disappointment. I am going to buy the Stride Rite wide sneaker she had good use of the last one we bought.
